Chris Asis did not call at our scheduled appointment time. 15 mins prior to our appointment time he asked that I verify if I was ready, which I did immediately. He did not show up! 2nd time a representative did this. I haven't even been a member for 30 days yet.While I experienced very poor customer service with Chris, after working with the assistant branch manager Oumou Aly Traore I would recommend anyone interested in being a member to ask for her. She did her very best to advocate for me with underwriters. Unfortunately, the underwriters have their own rules regarding student loans. This negatively impacted an approval for a loan. Regardless of what my actual student loan payment says and my good credit score and excellent payment history, here student loans will always be a millstone around my neck.

Our experience with NIH Credit Union so far has been nothing but positive. We only wish they had more branches! We want to give a shout out specially to Rockville Branch manager Anna Cardenas, who was so extraordinarily helpful to us this week in dealing with a bunch of paperwork and account updates we needed to get done. She was professional but friendly and personable, and had lots of patience as well! We also do wish, though, that NIH Credit Unions would reinstate masking policies, especially in this time of COVID and FLU surge.

I recently had a great experience with Chris Asis and others at the NIHFCU Silver Spring branch. Chris made the process straightforward and stressfree. In fact, all the staff were friendly and helpful, and they answered all of my questions in a clear and concise manner. Although I miss the more convenient GW Hospital location close to my job, upon entering your SS location, I was happily surprised to see a familiar face of your employee from the other location! He greeted me well and assisted me with my transaction! I left with a smile on my face!

NIH Fed Credit Union is the WORST credit union bank. The few branches that they have is extremely unprofessional, you cannot get anyone on the phone. Every time I call I am put on hold for atleast an HOUR before I get someone on the phone. They are the most difficult to get a hold of. TERRIBLE bank!!!!

Everyone at this branch has helped me at one time or another, but Omni Jones has been there for our family SO MANY TIMES. We have been trying to adopt our orphaned niece and nephew during the pandemic which has meant lots of money going to this agency and that. Omni has helped us through a number of hiccups and just been so wonderful. We are grateful! Also, the branch is gorgeous.
