NEVER booking here again. Not only did they sneak into my party and eat the food that we were serving. When my mother caught them and told them to leave, they spit the food on her and ran away. Money that we agreed on wasn't the same. THIEVES! Rude customer service. Kept barking every time I tried to say something she didn't agree with.

This place would have so much potential but unfortunately…they steal your money. For one communication was terrible. I had to hunt the owner down and send many emails just to make sure everything was set for my mothers birthday celebration. The day of event, there was a leak and water everywhere. It was also freezing (we booked the penthouse). The party was in December 2023. Here we are in May almost June and no deposit. I’ve asked about my deposit several times and my emails have been ignored. Please do not book here!

Where to begin!?! Let's start with the lack of professionalism just trying to communicate with the "Owner " Leslie. He doesn't respond to Calls /Text / DMs when trying to communicate and verify details regarding contracting and the venue.We were hosting an event for my partners 40th Birthday on Saturday 6/3/2023.. Per the contract we were able to access the space 1 hour prior to the event. We got to the space. The space has no working air conditioning, the space was so filthy, and the bathrooms were not in working order. Leslie blames it on a water main break in the area. THERE WAS NOT A WATER MAIN BREAK IN THE AREA!!!!Just based of how disgusting the venue was I wanted to cancel the event, but we had 100 friends and family members coming from out of town and would not be able to find a venue within the hour to hold that many people. We booked the 2nd floor. There are no windows that open. The space was so hot, in Leslie's attempts clean he poured fabuloso all over the floor and plugins in the walls and lit candles not one window opens to air the space out. The floors had mouse or rat droppings, trash, food and bugs everywhere. My family and i swept , picked up trash from prior events , moved furniture ourselves in order to get the venue in semi decent shape to welcome our family. We had to go to Walmart and purchase many fans in order to have circulating air in the room . Upon requesting the air to be turned on Leslie's constant response was he was going to call maintenance There was no maintenance and no air. The Bathrooms- Per Leslie they were not working due to a water main break which was a lie. He proceeds to tell us he will have a bathroom attendant to pour water in the toilet after each guest uses it. This is disgusting but at this point we don't have too many options He brings in gallons of water to the bathroom. WE NEVER HAD A BATHROOM ATTENDANT. Please whatever you do avoid this business at all costs. The pictures on the website and social media are very deceiving. Ther customer service is nonexistent. My next stop is the Better business bureau. He can't keep doing this to people.

Tried to support Black owned business but was HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED after a second attempt. This was the second time using the venue. Leslie "the Manager" lacks professionalism, was ready available when it was time for payments and no where to be found when needed on the day of the event. We got to the venue and was greeted with the worst odor ever, flies, bugs all over the wet floors. We were informed the that the AC was just turned on and will kick in shortly, which was A LIE... AC never worked for the duration of our event. Leslie also informed us that the area had a water main break and their water pressure was low.....ANOTHER LIE!!! The bathrooms were not working at all...I am beyond disappointed with my experience, at this point I can actually say I am disgusted with the service I got from I/O Space. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE AT ALL!!!

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Don't waste your time making an appointment to tour the place! I waited outside the locked space for 25 mins. I circled the entire building just to ensure I didn't have the wrong door (since they don't provide information on how to access the space in your confirmation email). No one answered the phone, and you aren't given a direct contact email of who you're meeting with. No one contacted me to cancel the appointment, in fact I actually got a confirmation at 5am the same day. So disrespectful of my time and business.

DO NOT host an event here. While planning an event, we set upon an agreed upon price and halfway through booking they tried to upcharge me hundreds of dollars extra on account of "renovations". After going back and forth quite a bit, they agreed upon the original price and everything was fine until the day of the event (my high school graduation party). On the day of the event the manager (or person in charge, I'm not sure), Mr. Leslie Tita, followed my mother and I around while we were busy and stressed setting up asking again and again for a card to pay a security deposit with, which was never mentioned before. Finally I gave him my debit card, as it felt he was relentlessly harassing us and i just paid the deposit. The event was almost 6 months ago, and I have yet to receive my $300 deposit back despite leaving the hall in clean and pristine condition. Every attempt to get in contact with them through email or phone call goes unanswered or gets hung up on. Would never ever host another event here, and I would recommend the same for anyone else!I am not a person who ever leaves reviews, but I felt the need to as they essentially stole $300 from an 18 year old going to college.

Very disappointed. They got just about everything wrong. I was promised the space would be ready and arranged per my drawn diagram and it never happened. In addition. The space wasn't clean, there were roaches in the kitchen and ants crawling on my cake downstairs. The power went out for 30m. We were appalled by this whole experience. No remedy or apology ever received. Bad customer service, and at these prices they ought to be roll out a red carpet. I'll never use or refer them again.

Nice place to hold a family gathering. Has indoor and indoor seating. Decor very modern. Great for small groups.
