I am a proud resident of Hampton Point! Apartment living is not always easy however, with staff as excellent, responsive, and warm as Kayla (my favorite leasing agent) has helped me navigate the (sometimes) stressful apartment life. I had a terrible leak in my unit and the way Kayla was so empathetic and determined to solve my problem, if ever I am in need of assistance and have questions, I run to her. No matter how busy she is, she always takes the time to acknowledge me and make me feel as though my issues are just as important as other tenants. Her professionalism yet gregarious nature have been my top 5 reasons I have stayed here.

Horrible and unprofessional leasing office. My first experience was with Ken Tran. I submitted an application with Hampton point. After I submitted, I was threatened with a cancellation of my application if I didn’t complete it or give all the documentation within 24hours. Mind you I turned in the application Thursday afternoon was told i had 24 hours. which is unheard of! I work at a private practice and would need until Monday to provide some documentation. On Monday I received an email saying they are terminating my lease because they tried to contact me. Ken only called me once that was late Saturday right before they closed. I had to go in the office physically on Tuesday to talk to a manager on why they canceled my application so quickly. I was then spoken to by Van cooper who is the property manager. Another person who was unpredictable, unprofessional and unhelpful. He claimed all I needed was a certain document. Then it switched to other documents I had to provide which I did. Just so he could tell me I needed more documentation. An all around mess. He kept saying he would contact me back about my approval. To let me know if I was accepted. Days would go by I would have to keep calling or emailing the office. All I can say is I don’t think company has chooses the right people to represent their company values and business. If you want to be respected and not just treated like commission or waste money on a application fee. I would go elsewhere.

Awful. Abandoned cars and cars being broken into. Office staff (Ken in particular) is extremely unhelpful and late to respond. Had teens outside of my apartment smoking weed in the middle of the day, people trying to open my door in the middle of the day, and people screaming at night. No one cleans up after their dogs and people dump furniture there regularly. It looks nice during the day but I frequently didn’t feel safe. At one point they had to change everyone’s locks because people were breaking into apartments and the storage shed so frequently. The pool was never open because the leasing office was under construction despite us being charged for those amenities. The actual apartment itself is average at best. I moved in for one year and then was forced to move out (not that I wanted to stay there anyway but still) because they were renovating all of the apartments. I will say maintenance staff is good though. Don’t recommend and so happy to be out of there and in a much better apartment community now.

I have lived at Hampton Point for a little over 3 years. I have seen about 4 managers before WPM took over. So I can say I’m familiar with the front office staff. Van…. AMAZING. I have NEVER seen a manager walk the property picking up trash in a suit?. I was super impressed. I just recently transferred apartments. I must say I LOVED my apartment before but now I’m IN LOVE with my apartment. There’s ample parking fun amenities and activities. On top of coming home to an amazing apartment I couldn’t ask for more.

Updated:- I was so scared when I saw the review here but, I met a wonderful leasing agent at the Property by the name Rand and she was going up and down each and every day to fulfill my requirements. I was moving from another State and it was hard for me to follow up. She took a picture of my unit and emailed me. Eagle Rock team please appreciate your best employee.
I hope I will stay with this 5 star rating and comment while Living in the community.
I change my rating after I moved and if you need your health please Run. People smoke in the house and the administration won’t do anything.
Away

They have gone way downhill. I moved there in 2019, just left. The current staff (MOST) of them seem annoyed by any request. If you keep trying to reach out, they will block your email. They rarely answer the phone or return calls, and I have been in their office, they are not that busy. They are raising the price of rent, but are not raising the quality of their service. The area is beginning to go downhill as well, as a bunch of teens (who don't even live in the complex) come across the street from the bus station to some of the buildings, smoke, fight, etc. Also, be SURE to get EVERYTHING in writing! What they say and what they do are two different things. The one bright spot is the maintenance staff, those guys have always done a great job! It was a great place to live for my first 2 1/2 years, then when this new management company and office staff came in, everything got worse.

Worst management ever. We wanted to move-in, but even the application process was taking over 10 days, with extremely bad communication. Really sad, as it doesn't reflect the management company at other locations in MD, from our experience.

I’ve living here for 2 yrs now, living here it’s been great, specially when you have to communicate any issues to Mrs Rand; I think she is the manager or the supervisor, she is so nice and polite, she goes beyond what you can expect

Lived at Hampton Points Apartments for almost 5 years, several management companies later and planning on moving. Apartment was flooded and had water damage and had to fight to get the carpet replaced. Flood was caused by a faulty water main for the building. Staff is unresponsive and upkeep is almost a yearly replacement for air filters (the kind you get at the dollar store). Now they are demanding that tenants move to the upgraded apartments (over priced) at the end of the lease or told to find another place to live. Let's not forget to mention the neighbors leaving garbage bags outside their apartments with other trash for days! Made plans to leave at the end of my lease before this.

I have lived here for over a year and am ridiculously happy. Mind you, if I'd left a review before WPM took over managing this complex my only complaint would have been the management not being responsive. WPM came in and all that has changed. The new property manager-Van is AMAZING. He is so responsive, friendly, and helpful. Everyone who works in the office is so nice. They actually answer the phone now, return calls and emails, and work to make sure you're happy. I moved apartments with my roommate and every little issue we've had has been resolved within the week.Yes, there are normal apartment things like noise or bugs. However, pest control is out once a week and so on top of it. For the most part it really is a quiet place to live. People are friendly. The whole complex feels very safe. The apartments are beautiful, especially with the renovations that WPM has been doing. Overall I feel like I am getting the best value for my money and will continue to live here for the foreseeable future.*edit to add: I noticed some of the other negative reviews are from things that have changed. Maintenance has always been fast since I've lived here-usually within the day of me posting something it's fixed. Once even the same day.The hot water lasts about twenty minutes for me. It's about perspective. You can see your water heater, you live in an apartment, you have to know that hot water takes awhile to reup when you have a small water heater. I've lived in apartments with way worse in terms of heat.Amenities- when I spoke to the leasing office about these while moving apartments, they promised they're working on getting them up and running. Again, it's a new management company so this is changing.

worst experience EVER!!!!, first they lie to your face and say that the prices online are not right because they website is being worked on (so that is the tenets fault?!) second when you do the application they conduct an illegal background check on you and your roommate with out your written consent they deny you if they do not like what they see, currently battling this in court. Worst experience I ever had with a leasing company. Untrustworthy and just wrong!!!!!!!!

Great place to live. I've been living in this apartment for 3 years and have never had any issues. Maintenance team responded very quickly to any issues that we had. Very spacious bed and living rooms as well as the kitchen. The staff are great and very approachable. Clean and quiet environment to raise a family. I will always choose Hampton Point Apt for this obvious reason.

Management, office staff in this place is useless. Most of the time no one answers the phone and when they do you can never get a satisfactory response. When moving in I was charged an amenity fee and have not been able to use any amenities here. Not that there are many to begin with. The gym is only open during business hours when most people are at work. I was told when I moved in it would be open 24hrs a day which never happened. Then they kept giving me the excuse that they needed to install some sort of key code so the door would not be kept unlocked at night. That excuse went on for months and now they’ve set permanent hours to 9-5pm Monday thru Friday, limited hours on Saturday closed on Sunday. One of my main reasons for moving here was to be able to use the gym and cancel my gym membership. The pool was not open last summer and I don’t believe it was open this summer either. Their basically extorting this money from tenants for absolutely no reason. The walls in this apartment are really thin. I can hear every step my upstairs neighbor make. Not to mention the fact that they are beyond obnoxious. They have a kid and dog that are constantly running back and forth making noise and makes it unbearable to be in the apartment. I reported this to the office and nothing has changed.Winter months are also terrible here. The apartment is badly insulated and you can feel the cold draft under the door. There is a large enough air hole under the front door to let cold air in and for bugs to crawl into the apartment. It doesn’t matter how high you turn up the heat the apartment is never warm enough to be comfortable. Winter electric bills average $300 per month. I don’t even think filters were changed this year which I’m sure is not helping with my electric bills. My lease is up next year I can’t wait to move. I would not recommend this complex to anyone.
