Franklin painted my beautiful cabernet red 1985 Mercedes 1985 300SD turbodiesel sedan. Now it looks like it came directly from the showroom floor. The vehicle recently finished first in class at the annual Mercedes Benz Club of America Concours d'Elegance held in Potomac, Maryland. They also did some very challenging rust repair on a 1983 300TD Mercedes station wagon - replaced one of the rear quarter panels below the fuel door. You could not tell they had done the work - perfect metal finishing and paint blending. I highly recommend Franklin's for their old world craftsmanship and solid integrity.Service: Painting

Nice guy to work with. Problem is that I sent a panel in for them to paint that’s about 1 by 3 feet, and I noticed many small imperfections. I’m FINE with that. However, there was one very obvious spot that had no paint on it and he proceeded to add touch up paint on top of the clear coat… are you serious? How was it not noticed initially and it only tells me they don’t pay much attention to detail. They charged me $250 by the way. I should’ve taken this to D&V auto body masters as they quoted me less than $250 after I had dropped this panel off to Franklin’s.Again, I’m just saying be warned… if you have a car you adore and want paint work, take it somewhere else.*update: took it to D&V auto body masters in Sterling and for the same price, they did a way better job. Which also included removing and replacing rivets (which Franklin’s never did).

I had the best experience with Franklin's Auto Body & Painting. I've had my Chevy Camaro for 12 years and wanted to spice up the color especially since I just got anodized blue wheels. After doing some research I found Franklin's and decided to go for it and trust the good painting reviews. Boy, was I glad I did! The estimated date of completion was perfectly accurate and the price was incredibly affordable for a full body paint job. Franklin himself is personable, reliable and does incredible work. He knows how much someone must love their car to get a paint job and puts every ounce of love back into the car with his paint. Best decision I ever made to revitalize and reinvigorate my car! I am late writing this so first I apologize to the owner. I took my 1997 Ford Mustang Cobra to Franklin's for a paint job. The factory paint did pretty good for about 22-23 years, but it was showing its age. Franklin's painted the car everywhere but under the hood. Door jams and painted surfaces inside the trunk got painted. I am very pleased with the results and the added bonus is that I kept my hard earned cash in my community with a small business owner.

I had a vehicle I was selling; wanted to touch up a little, small imperfections, dents taken out, paint buffed up and reconditioned before putting out for sale. The job took a few days to complete; once advertised, the following day received a full price offer. I was more than pleased! Thank you, for your expertise, friendly, cordial personality.

Franklin’s Auto Body did an excellent job restoring a bumper with scratches to mint condition and perfectly matching the paint color. The customer service is fantastic! Prices are reasonable compared to other places in the Silver Spring area! I’d highly recommend them! Your satisfaction is guaranteed!

My car looks fantastic! My 1974 corvette needed a fresh paint job and I chose Franklin’s. Franklin’s exceeded my expectations with the quality of their body work (repairing the cracked fiberglass) and attention to detail (matching the OEM color, painting the door jambs, reattaching those old C-O-R-V-E-T-T-E letters to the rear bumper, not painting over the Body Number and Trim and Point Plate, no overspray onto the chrome or badging). Awesome body work and a glistening paint job, all reasonably priced. Franklin’s has excellent communication and customer service; they answered all of my questions and accommodated all of my requests. My car was ready when promised, and I am thrilled with the results!

Franklin's Auto body detailing work got my car looking better than I even hoped -- like brand new, inside and out! The exterior was sparkling, and I was particularly impressed with the thorough cleaning of every surface of the interior. This shop has the best service i have ever received at a body shop . The owner and his Son are consistently friendly and helpful and they made sure the work is done with a high degree of excellence on my 2004 Mercedes coupe. they are the only body shop i will use from here on!

I bought a 1984 Olds Toronado at an auction in Iowa. It needed number fillers and rust repair. I bought the number fillers from an after market supplier, and the first body shop I visited told me they couldn't use them. The also told me they no longer did rust repair. I took the car to Franklin Auto Body and they could not have been nicer and more helpful. They gave me an estimate that was well within my budget, scheduled the car and delivered it at the time and date they promised, and I was extremely pleased with the work. the parts fit perfectly, the color match was great (this is a 35 year old vehicle painted with lacquer) and the car looks like new. I would highly recommend Franklin Auto Body for the quality of their work and the friendliness of the staff and owner.
