The mechanic I dealt with was extremely off-putting to say the least. He spoke down to me because he assumed I was a "hoodlum in a hoopty". He told me that he likely wouldn't be the "type" of mechanic that I would want to inspect my vehicle, and advised me to come back and pick up my car. I guess my green money was too black.

update from previous bad review. my stepfather paid over $400 to have the thermostat replaced which this mechanic said would fix the problem. Funny thing is other mechanics said the sensor needed check before replacing the thermostat! WOW here we are and the light on the dash is back on and they wa t more money to fix it. Don't take your car to these shisters all they car about is thier commission! what a bunch of crap mechanics and loosers. pathetic how they prey on an 81yr old man just ridiculous!!!

I am very disappointed. I've taken my car to this gas station (and also bought gas there) for many years, and I was always pleased though the prices are high. Yesterday I called to get wipers replaced on my 2013 Corolla and was given an appointment for 11AM today. Wipers were installed in about 5 minutes, and the total cost was $73.14. Average price for wipers for this car is about $15-20. I could easily have installed them myself. I find this an outrageous and unacceptable example of taking advantage of an elderly consumer. I certainly will not be back, and I will spread the word in my retirement community that this is a place to be avoided.

I have had a bad experience with this place. I took my VW for water leakage and was charged $150.00 for nothing. Not only that did not diagnosed it properly but also did not put the interior plastic parts together. The guy (Woody) is an arrogant. Avoid his services at all cost!

I have used Fairland for 20 years,they are honest and fair. Their mechanics are very skilled and will do their best to get you serviced. After having friends tell me everything from stripped drain plugs ,forgot to put in oil, wrong filter which was starving the engine for oil ,not changing the filter at all,using regular oil and charging for synthetic, even taking the fork bolt out instead of the drain bolt on a manual trans Camaro which caused it to skid to a halt one quarter of a mile from the service center"he had to take them to small claims court to get the repair paid for, you can keep your 30.00 oil change. You can keep your repairs performed by people who pay more attention to their phones than you car. I own a business which my vans are critical to stay on schedule. They have bent over backwards to get the parts and get me back on the road.I don't want the cheapest ,I want the best. I also like the consideration I get as a regular customer.What say you?

Woody and his team have serviced at least three vehicles that I've owned over the last 10-15 years. They are reliable, thorough and very honest about costs. Woody also provides the best and worst case scenarios for your vehicle, as well as recommendations on "what has to be done NOW" if you are working with financial restrictions -- a great mechanic -- I'd take all my cars to him!
