My partner brought his car in after a hit and run earlier this year, and Expert Volvo Repair staff promised they’d replace and paint the bumper of his car within 5-7 days. We’d heard great things from their business and saw that they’d had a high star rating here. Five days passed, and he had to keep calling back and they kept delaying the pickup time. Ultimately, it took them a month to fix his car since they claimed their paint person was out, then they got the wrong shade of paint for the car, and a myriad of other excuses. When he finally was able to pick up his car, the paint was still the wrong shade but they claimed it would even out once it dried. It never did and they didn’t lower the price for the extended delay (or a messed up paint job). Will not be returning.

I received great service from Expert Volvo. The staff was very professional and kept me informed each step in the repair process of my 2007 Volvo. Thank you Expert Volvo.

Very knowledgeable mechanic. They saved my xc70. The diagnosis and repair was also much more reasonable than another reputable volvo mechanic. I do have to wait for a time slot, but I will go no place else.

I'm a mechanic at another local shop and have customers come in that have blindly had their money stolen from these people. Then they come to my shop and I tell them what was wrong to begin with and they have no more money because they were told they needed stuff that they didn't. Please don't go here.

This car repair is in a pretty remote location, but it is definitely worth it! The people are so, so kind and I was in and out within 20 minutes. The rubber around my windshield was coming off and hitting my car and when I took it in they added some adhesive and didn't even charge me for the adhesive! It only took them a few minutes to do it, but it was still super nice of them not to charge me. Their prices normally are also very reasonable. I would definitely recommend and I'm certainly going to them with any future car problems. As a warning, they don't have a website, and you do have to call to schedule an appointment.

Iv'e been taking my car here for many years and I just recently found out that Matt is no longer with Expert Volvo Repair. However, I spoke too a gentleman named Billy who has been there for a while and he was extremely knowledgeable and helpful just like Matt always was. I needed to bring my car in for service as well as for some other issues that I was having. Billy told me to bring the car over to the shop so he could take a look at it. Billy absolutely delivered! He did not try to sell me unnecessary repairs or other things that i didn't need. He just sold me repairs related to my complaints as well as what my car actually needed to continue keeping it maintained. Even though this shop is a one man operation, Billy got my car back to me relatively quick and fixed properly. Matt may have left after so many years of service at Expert Volvo Repair but the service felt exactly the same as it always has. What more could i ask for other than asking for Billy!

Matt is wonderful!! We trusted him w/ our 2004 Volvo wagon while we lived in Silver Spring for 4 years. He is honest, hardworking, and went out of his way to help with even minor car issues, regularly. I was at the park one day & damaged the bumper. He told me to just bring the car over & he'd fix it. We miss Matt as we now live on the West Coast. I had to call him today w/ a quick repair history question re: our car, and he helped me on the spot, even though he is always busy! We HIGHLY, highly recommend Matt! Honest, trustworthy, fair-priced mechanics are hard to find -- and he is all of these!

Never going anywhere else again. There are shops that write service tickets for sales volume and profitability, and there are shops that perform work when it's needed, as it's needed, no more, no less. This is one of the latter. And it's loaded up with the older models (240s, 940s, 850s, even some Amazons). I'm in a 1994 940, and I appreciate a shop that knows everything about my trusty old car. This place is a big find.
