The worst services! This not first time when I drop my car for cleaning which I paid for lifetime service. They give back with no cleaning! Terrible ?

On July 22, 2024, we went to DARCARS Temple Hills to look at a 2023 Kia Carnival LX VIN: KNDNB4H36P6280682. I again called the dealership to make sure the car was still there right before driving over there, to which they said that it was and it was in the shop. The dealership was an hour away so we did not want to make that trip if the car had been sold. Once we arrived at the dealership we were told that the car we were originally interested in actually had "body damage" to it and it was not available and that’s why it was in the shop. While we were waiting for the new van to test drive, all of a sudden the "body damage van" miraculously became available to also test drive. So we ended up test-driving both vans. The original Carnival we were interested in rode great but we had some concerns. It was listed under 13,000 miles but the tires on the van were bald, which makes no sense. The van was also a rental from Florida and per the CarFax did not have any maintenance updates. So before my husband and I made any final decisions we wanted an independent mechanic to take a look at the van, we also wanted the car inspection and service maintenance paperwork. That's when we spoke to General Manager Ed Hampton. We told him about our concerns with the van and why we did not want to purchase the car until we had all of our questions/concerns answered. Ed Hampton told us that the dealership would hold the car for us for the next couple of days if we put a deposit down for the amount that we would have purchased the car for. We wrote a check to the dealership under the condition that they would also give us the car inspection and service maintenance paperwork. The next couple of days passed and we had yet to receive any of the requested paperwork. Almost 1 week after we checked our bank statement DARCARS Temple Hills deposited our postdated check THE NEXT DAY, July 23, 2024! This was an utter shock for us because this check was only meant to hold the car. After we realized our check was cashed, I called Ed Hampton who told me that I gave him a verbal permission to cash our check because we wanted the car and told me that there would be a $1,500.00 fee to get a refund of all of our money back. We never signed any purchase order agreement, or any paperwork at all in regards to purchasing the vehicle. Also, there is no such thing as a "verbal agreement" when it comes to any sort of contract. We told Ed Hampton that our check was cashed illegally without our permission and we were going to proceed with legal action against the dealership. We did not have possession of the car, we had not signed any paperwork stating that we wanted this car, and WE SIGNED NOTHING permitting them to cash a check that was only supposed to be made to hold the vehicle. After we told the dealership we will proceed the legal rout we were then told that we would get a full refund in 21 days, which is absolutely absurd and puts a financial strain on our family. To get DARCARS to reimburse us the fastest was to get a letterhead statement from our bank stating that the money had been taken out of our account. My husband went to our bank and got a formal transaction check to show the money coming out of our account and going into their account. The branch said that was the most formal way to "prove" the check was deposited with DARCARS. DARCARS corporate still didn't accept it and wanted that letterhead. It took 3 days but we were finally able to get a letter from our bank. So we were told that the check would be mailed to us overnight on Monday. We agreed to that. It was a good thing we ended up not going to the dealership that Friday because when I called the dealership on Monday to make sure they were going to send out the check, THEY DIDN'T EVEN HAVE IT. We eventually got the check and it was fully reimbursed into our bank account. This whole situation was a very big lesson learned but this should have never happened. We also learned that DARCARS lists the same car VIN/stock number on their different de

My three stars from a few years ago was probably unfair so I increased it to four but the same problems still exist. I bought my car here and take it for regular service. The wait is always long, took 15 mins last time to even get my car pulled in to the drop off area and then another 15 to talk to a person and leave. And this was with an appointment! Honestly, not sure what value there is in even making an appointment if it’s going to take a half hour to get all checked in. With probably more than 20 cars pulling in there was only 1-2 cashiers working and they seem to just wander off with no explanation to the many people waiting in line. I just sort of feel invisible when standing there.
The work done always seems good and the people who work in the service center are nice.

They took a long time to service my vehicle. Also, there's always a line to check in, and it doesn't move quickly. Either hire more staff to check people in, change the process so people can check in online, or set up a seating area for people to wait in.I was going to award one star but their service manager was nice and checked me in since I am disabled.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I have NEVER experienced such an awful car buying experience. Sales and finance teams forced me to purchase the DARCARS Assurance package at a cost of $2500 (which is an absolute JOKE) but never bothered to included gap insurance which is usually $800-$900!! I have never purchased a vehicle without gap coverage and didn't even notice it until my car was TOTALED 5 months after I purchased it. Called to see what the assurance covered and only gave me a phony "credit" to purchase ANOTHER DARCARS vehicle, which I would never do!! Stay away! Predatory sales behavior.

Charging market adjustment nearly 2x the vehicle price. If you need some crack, head to DARCARS Automotive group!

$250k markup on a dodge. Absolutely insane.

$250,000 markup on a car. Theft at its absolute worst. This type of behavior for a dealer is shameful. The manufacturers set MSRP for a reason.

Not a dealer you want to go to if you want a fair price on a car.
