I feel like I was duped and therefore I will not be renting from Budget in the future. I reserved the car ahead -- and I paid ahead because I thought it was the right thing to do. I ended up returning the car 2 days early due to a totally unexpected and unpredictable change in my schedule, and I expected to receive at least a partial refund for the time not used. The desk clerk explained that no refunds could be given through the return office, but that I could try contacting Budget customer service, which seemed acceptable to me. However, I was unable to reach an actual person at any of the telephone numbers I was given. Being connected to a special "customer service" number which merely was an extremely high-pressure attempt to get the caller to buy something did NOT improve my mood. I feel insulted and angry, and am quite willing to pay a higher price through another company for fair, transparent, responsive customer service.

The car was filthy both inside and out. The TPMS light was on and showing a rear tire was 20 PSI low. The tags on the vehicle were expired. We were charged a refueling fee even though the vehicle was returned full (in the process of refuting this charge). Never again will Budget.

They lie, cheat, and steal. Never rent from them. They do not have any of the cars they claim to and only notify you when you arrive. When this happened to me the manager laughed while admitted to lying over the phone. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Is there a way to give less than a star? I will not recommend anybody to rent a car at this location 619 SIigo Ave, Silver Spring, MD 20910.I rented a 12-seater van and the experience made my blood boil over. While the lady who helped me when I picked up the van was nice, I had a rude agent who tried to shake me down. He asked me to clean the car. I asked if the car was clean. He robot-like repeated "dog hear, sand." I never had a dog in my life or in the car. I asked him to show me where and what I should clean. He repeated "dog hair, sand." His colleague advised me to give the agent something so he would clean the car. He refused to point out where he sees any dirt that needs to be cleaned. He also refused to give me his name. He charged me $450 for cleaning the dog's hair and sand that he could not show me and over my protest.

Budget Rental agreement#665877892Iam an overseas person travelling to USA.i made a booking online first and also took a protection plan for which i paid 144 usd upfront...when i visited the counter i took other (larger ) protection plan and added my brother as a Primary driver and myslef as additional driver.I called expedia(online booking platform that i used) to cancell the insurance of 144 usd as i had taken a Bigger plan.. but they mailed me later that Budget is refusing to refund that amount.Noy happy as this is malafide..U show me something better and i buy it,does it mean i have to pay for s.aller and lesser product too..please refund my 144 usd.Budget rental agreement #665877892

Do not come to this location, horrible experience. I made a reservation to pick up a car. We pre paid and completed pre heck and I checked all the requirements on their location website that they do take debit card from major visa or Mastercard (which it was). Only for when it came to pick up the car they told us they did not accept debit only credit cards and that essentially it's not their problem. Which was incorrect according to the type of car and it was a normal debit card not prepaid. We paid the 300 deposit so it did not make sense that they refused to take the card but at the time of the online reservation it stated the card was accepted They refused to refund the money they told us we had to call .which I made sure to. Do since Avis will charge a 150 no show fee if you cancel within 24hours. The person I spoke to seem to be in a rush while I was trying to gather the confirmation number of the reservation stating they can only be on hold for 2minutes.they stated our refund will come back to card in 3-10 business day. Which is upsetting because we are going into a holiday weekend for which we need the car for. Also they did the same thing to another customer at the time we had this problem

The Silver Spring Budget rented me a car that broke down 60 miles into a 400 mile trip. When I called their office they told me to go to the nearest Budget and they would swap the car for me. Not so! Instead, after many confusing hours on the phone with Budget’s Roadside assistance, the car was towed back to my house so I could unload all my son’s college belongings. I think this location just wanted to ditch this car since I booked a one-way rental. Thanks for wasting my time and money Budget Silver Spring. I would NOT recommend this location.

Finally broke the evil covenant with this demonic, disgusting company and location. HalleluYah!! After several years, it made sense that they are workers of iniquity and have an evil altar right there harvesting for the kingdom of darkness. No wonder there were always war and strife, conflicts and disagreements every time we stepped in there. Many disgruntled customers desperately needing a vehicle and settling for poor customer service. No voice. No power. The manager caters to his Ethiopian kin-folks more than any other group. Don’t be fooled by the plants in there. Their hearts are not as green - especially the female there.But the bottom line is I learned a great lesson of discernment. And am on a better path of righteousness when it extends into paying for services and buying goods. Marine spirits abound here…..there is a white mermaid doll sitting right in the middle of the counter with a triton in this black run establishment . Those who have ears will hear and discern. End times are here! Judgement is rapid! HalleluYah!!

Please don't make reservations here and go somewhere else. I was planning a trip to go to the beach and wanted to rent a car. We successfully paid and made the booking online. When we went to pick up the car, we noticed tons of (irritated and unhappy) people waiting. A woman and an employee were arguing (which should have been my queue to go), but I stuck around since I had already paid. After 15 minutes of waiting for the employee to stop complaining to other customers about the woman he was arguing with and other random things that he was doing, we finally got to speak with him. The first thing that came out of his mouth was... "There are no cars." We explained that we had a reservation, and again, he stated, "Yeah, if you made a same-day reservation, there are no cars. Everyone here is waiting for a car. You can stay here and wait until closing if you want or go to the airport to pick it up." WTF?!? Why in the world are you saying you have cars available at this location on your website if there are no cars available? If there were no cars available for same-day reservations, we should have at least gotten a courtesy call about the situation so we didn't waste time and money traveling there just not to get a car.Also, the fact that he said we can "go to the airport" to get a car... like, huh? The whole reason we are at this establishment is that we need a car... and now you're suggesting we waste EVEN MORE time and money to go get a car from the airport due to the company's mistake? Ridiculous!

Worse rental experience I’ve ever had, tried to blame me for damage that was there already (luckily I had taken video evidence), Extremely slow at pick up and return. Car had a bad smell and brakes and suspension were poor. The staff had a bad attitude and were rude. Definitely never using this location again. Other customers were also complaining whilst I was there.

This is the worst place I’ve ever been. It’s so unprofessional of the managers yelling at people. Numerous people are coming back inside to say that their car smells of smoke, that the airbags are not working or that there’s broken things in the car all while we are being told we have to wait over two hours to get the car that we reserved two hours ago. It’s insane and I do not recommend is -10 out of 10 if I could

Budget provides an accommodating service with a seamless process. The car was spotless and the customer service representative was consistently excellent. We have rented from this location multiple times and they have even helped us in last-minute situations. It's important to note that the specific car you reserved online may not be available. Overall, the customer service was great with minimal waiting time. I am extremely satisfied with both the service and the vehicle. The shop is conveniently located in my neighborhood, providing a friendly pickup and drop-off experience. For any tolls, they will bill you e-toll receipt a week after your reservation, no additional fees. I would recommend capturing a video of your vehicle's condition and gas level before leaving, just as a precautionary measure.

HORRIBLE. Booked a reservation for rental 6/13 for pick up on 6/17 at 12pm. Got there by 12:50 and they state that they no longer have ANY rentals and 3 people are ahead of me. This is absolutely ridiculous. I don’t recommend this spot at all.

I wish I could give a negative star. I went to this location on Saturday, May 20th after making a reservation on Thursday, May 18th. My reservation time was 10:30am and I arrived at 10:15am. When I arrived I was waited on relatively quickly, but was informed that they did not have any vehicles for me, but that one should arrive soon. This should have been the first red flag. If you are accepting reservations on vehicles, but don't have them this could lead to problems. Not long after I sat down to wait several others came in with reservations, but they did not have vehicles and were also told to wait. Some where even told they would need to wait for 1-2 hours before a vehicle would be ready. My real issue comes when I go to pay. I was using my debit card and when they attempted to charge my card, it was declined. My mistake so I went to grab my other card, but realized my husband left it at home so I just transferred funds from other account to my checking. I go back in and ask to repeat the transaction and was told 'no'. The reasoning was once they process one transaction on a debit card and it is declined that don't do another. #1 if this was a posted and communicated policy, #2 if the vehicle had been ready when I initially came in (an hour before, yes I had waited an hour) then I might be able to see it. But, I as a customer gave you the grace to find me a vehicle for at least an hour and you couldn't provide the same grace in return for my card. It was a mistake on my part that I immediately rectified. Secondly, the 2nd gentleman who doesn't seem to normally manage the front was very loud and then called the owner to confirm their policy. I warn you in advance do not go to this establishment and if Budget directs you here choose another location, or do like I did and go up the street to Enterprise.

Manager at this location has a horrible attitude. Had a reservation that was made online arrived at location to pick up rental, unaware of the deposit requirement. The manager than began screaming at my mother and I about not reading the terms and conditions. Canceled order due to poor customer service provided but the manager and staff.
