I got a sew in at joseys and was nervous to go into a new place but the lady that helped me was amazing, my hair looks perfect, flat and so natural. They were busy because it was Saturday but they got me started quickly and if i was ever waiting it was minimal and they kept me updated. I really had a great experience

Booked an appointment the day before & was able to be accommodated quickly. I was asked to come a bit later than requested, but that was no issue. When I came in, within 15, minutes I was in the wash chair. Great, thorough wash with multiple shampoos. Low tension blow dry & my smedium knotless braids were done in less than 4 hours! I will be back!

Josey is warm and professional. All of the stylists are talented and attentive. Some don't speak English very well so be sure to communicate what you need to Josey and he will make sure you get what you want.
Requested style: I get a shampoo and condition treatment. Then straight back braids with my natural hair to wear under wigs to give my hair a break between styles.

I was referred to this salon by a colleague. All.I can say is: FABULOUS!!! FABULOUS!! FABULOUS!!! I went to Beauty by Josey today to get slanted cornrows mixed with sengalese twists. My hair turned out great and the service was awesome. Appointment was on time, the hair washing and hair were provided if needed, and the shop was clean/organized. Staff were very kind and professional. I will definitely return and refer a friend!

I would not recommend this place if you don't know it because I decided to get my daughters hair done here and they were burning her scalp I told them to stop and they continued and did not listen I had to leave and when I came back they did not do the right hairstyle and when I had told them my child has a sensitive scalp they were not careful they were not nice that much and I will not be coming back here.
Requested style: Did not do what my child wanted.
Stylist: The stylist was burning my child's scalp and I told her many times to be careful with my child and she did not listen or try to be careful and continued listening to music with her airpods

My experience wasn’t ideal with this establishment unfortunately. While they were attached nicely, I paid 200 to walk out with my hair sticking out of majority of my braids and a janky uneven cut at the ends. One wash and my ends are out. I was hoping they could’ve executed dolly braids but unfortunately was unable to which is understandable. But what is not is cutting off the customer when asking questions and not listening to suggestions as the STYLIST. Also taking items that belongs to the client leading to unnecessary trips. I don’t feel like I was heard especially when asking important questions regarding my service. Asking questions doesn’t make a person “argumentative.” I’ll give it to y'all the environment is clean and the staff is kind-ish but professional understanding when communicating with client needs and execution wasn’t there. In my opinion.
Requested style: (Dolly braids) which are flipped up box braids that are bob length

Stylist: She was kind and handled my hair gently andI like that she didn’t put gel directly on my scalp, but she didn’t listen when I told her how short I’d like my braids and the proper way to bump up the ends. She cut the ends uneven.
Also could’ve tried to tuck my hair into the braids better. All day locs is a good brand for 4C hair. The gel y'all use is not for all hair types.

I’ve come to Beauty by Josey twice; my first time was March 2024 and my second time June 2024. Both times I came for small-medium butt length knotless braids. The picture is from my most recent visit.
I found Beauty by Josey on TikTok, after seeing a woman came here for braids, and I was looking for somewhere to get braids.
Beauty by Josey is a full service salon. While they do braiding services/styles, they also do roller sets, colors, treatments, etc.
Braided styles include a wash and blow dry and certain hair colors, listed on the booking site. For both appointments, I booked online and the price I was told at the end was the same price as online - no surprises! I believe the website says final payment in zelle or cash, but for braids I suggest cash, especially to tip your braider(s).
Josey and the women working in the salon are so nice and attentive. Both visits I had 9am appointments and when I walked in, Josey greeted me, checked me in and I was immediately started on. Throughout my service, I was checked on by my braider and other women helping her, offered water, etc. I cannot remember my braider’s name, but believe her name starts with an L. I haven’t requested her, but just so happened to get her both times and she did a great job!
My first visit I was washed and blow dried and picked 1B braiding hair. On my 2nd visit, I came washed and blow dried and brought my own braiding hair (M4/27/30).
Each visit I have received exactly the style I wanted. I’m very picky about who touches my hair, but this salon will continuously have my service for braids, and I look forward to trying other styles as well.
