Place has gone downhill. Not worth going here anymore. They don't even call or send results of a fecal exam. Wasted my time and my money. I have been going here for 2 years and I am done. A lot more issues but this is all I will say.

Far better experience than I imagined. Very reasonably price for very thorough examination and treatment. My dog has a pretty bad yeast infection in her ear and her regular vet didn’t have any time to see her this week so I found this place which I’m always skeptical to take her to new locations but given the good reviews and conveniently close to where I live I gave them a call early morning and was able to get a appointment the same day. The person who answered the phone was very professional and offered a quick easy method to get her in the system as she is a new patient. The person at the front desk, Erica, was kind and attentive. the waiting room was very spacish and clean, not crowded at all. I did not have to wait any time for a room to be ready to see her since I had an appointment I believe. The room itself was very clean, didnt have that smell as most vet rooms do, and very well air conditioned. The doctor who treated my dog was Adriana Ogando she has a very calm and professional demeanor and knew exactly how to handle my dog as she is a big dog but anxious in new environments. Both vet techs who helped were very kind and thorough. I was most afraid of what it was going to cost me but ended with a very reasonable bill for all they did. Exam, culture, cleaning and prescriptions all less than 300$. Maybe a third of the cost of what her regular vet would’ve charged me. 100% recommend and I am glad I have a local vet I am able to bring her to now. Thank you to the wonderful staff at Animal Place!

They let me bring my dog’s sample the next day and I didn’t have to pay the visit fee which I’ve done before here. One time one of the vets didn’t let me do it and I almost went somewhere else but I am glad I gave them a second chance. Make sure you keep your receipts because sometimes the system says you didn’t pay when you do. My dog is not a fan of the vet but they are very patient. Overall i will keep bringing my dogs here.

Animal Place Veterinary Hospital is a hidden gem! Every experience here has been great. My little Frenchie Lola had a malignant mass cell tumor they removed and she's doing AMAZING. Their quote was very reasonable and Dr Ogando genuinely cares for you and your animal. They are very transparent with pricing very flexible with scheduling never over charge, and always treat you with care.

My husband and I visited Animal Place for the first time last Friday when we brought our very sick cat in. We tried several different vets before reaching out to Animal Place who very graciously made room for us late on a Friday afternoon. The staff could not have been kinder and more caring. You would have thought they had known our cat for years rather than meeting her for the first time at the end of a long work day. Our cat was unfortunately too sick to be saved, but the expertise and compassion the full team at Animal Place showed to our family we will never forget.

Initially, it started off as a great vet experience with a helpful veterinarian who challenged the prevailing diagnosis without a biopsy. He was great, thorough and very kind. And then it started to go downhill with the other veterinarians (and one whose name isn't even listed on their website).
The most recent appt was with a vet who primarily practices in Va. On another visit I pointed out a puddle of urine on the floor in the exam room and the response from the vet was "oh yeah"...and in the back of my mind I am thinking that my pet is immunocompromised and all the infectious diseases you can get from urine. There were dirty towels on the exam tables regularly with visible hair and bodily fluids from the previous animals. I was frequently encouraged to euthanize our pet, when I asked how long does she have to live one of the vet's response was "maybe a few months to about a year." Treating a case of diarrhea or an eye infection shouldn't necessitate a referral to an internist or an canine opthalmologist. I felt like I was being passed around rather than seeking meaningful reasonable and necessary care.

Animal Place has been amazing. Nobody likes spending a grand on multiple vet services. It’s necessary sometimes. Our Pittie who was suffering from pancreatitis came was seen by the friendly staff. Again, you’re stressed as hell but the doc and staff made this a solid experience. Not every experience has a happy ending. This crew will be taking over primary vet care from here on out for all our animals.

The front desk staff & techs here are phenomenal. Also, the doctor(s) are one of a kind. The doctor my kitty had, gave her a chance when not many would. I wish I had brought my baby here sooner, as they take the time effort to fully examine and make the right easement.

The receptionist, vet tech, and vet were very nice and personable. I felt my dog was welcomed and got great attention. However, there were multiple piddles in the lobby and examination room, to which my dog contributed, but no one offered supplies for me to clean up. In addition, no one cleaned up the multiple accidents around the waiting room, which was surprising. Other than that, it was a good experience.
