I've visited this location to donate blood 3 times, and all have been bad experiences. My first visit, I had to wait 25 minutes after my scheduled appointment time to donate, even though I completed my FastPass ahead of time. At my second visit, they had a newbie stick me, and despite having VERY easy veins, she still managed to hurt and bruise me. The third time, I arrived at 3:06 for a 3:00 appointment and was turned away since they only have a 5 min grace period (but are ok keeping the donors waiting for upwards of 25 min). So I won't go back. It's a shame, this is the closest donation site to me, so it probably means I just won't donate anymore.

I just left after waiting 1 hour for a whole blood donation even with a rapid pass. They literally took everyone in the lobby but me. I'm not sure what happened or how things became so inefficient but if you'd like to encourage people to donate blood please make sure that people are not waiting for an hour unnecessarily.

Very convenient location with a very comforting and skillful staff. Generally a low wait time from your appointment time.

I recently started donating blood again. This location is walking distance from my house, so I have no excuses not to donate. My first time back in July was not memorable. It seemed to take forever getting thru the check-in process. The actual donating did not go smoothly. My phlebotomist missed my vein and couldn't get my blood flowing. The other phlebotomist came over and wiggled the needle to no avail. He lied to me and gave some excuse that sometimes when you haven't donated in a while your blood doesn't flow easily. I agreed to let the first one try my other arm. That took, as I am a speedy bleeder. I have an ER doctor neighbor and an ICU nurse sister, so please don't lie to me. I had a not so pretty bruise as a reward. Second time went smoothly except it took way too long to get started. I even downloaded the app and did the rapid check-in earlier in the day. I was waiting on the table while the phlebotomist (different one) cleaned up and answered her cell phone! Um, I'm here...ready to give life to someone! Today's donation: Only three other donors. I did the rapid check-in before I showed up. I was back home less than 45 minutes later. Only negative was that the needle hurt badly going in and out! Plus, only snack was Cheez-Its. Where are the Famous Amos cookies! I'll be back despite all the glitches above because I feel like a super hero every time I give blood.

I would recommend against taking any classes instructed by Mary Flynn. Her behavior was completely inappropriate the entire class. She was antagonistic & unbelievably mean to many of the students. While it made for some great laughs when telling my husband what occurred, it was not worth the verbal abuse. Everyone was so busy avoiding her insanity that not many life saving skills were learned.
