Never in my life would I recommend ABS Moving to anyone. I moved with them last year and it was the worst moving experience I’ve ever had. The beginning was smooth – the setup, scheduling, and the movers themselves were great when picking up. After that? It went downhill quickly. I waited a whole month for my belongings and during that time, received no communication as to where anything was. I received no updates – Brooke, the sales person I worked with, had no idea and recommended I reach out to the info@abs email and text the dispatch team, neither of whom responded. For a whole month, I was in a new apartment with no furniture – they confirmed my belongings would be there between 1-14 business days from the first available date I provided. They ended up arriving a whole month later and during that time, I had no idea where my belongings were. It turns out that the whole team had gotten covid but didn’t tell any customers for weeks? After receiving no communication for weeks, they called me the day before arriving. My lamp and couch motor were broken in transit so my couch won’t recline. I submitted a claim with pictures of the items and unanswered texts with dispatch and ABS said I was entitled to $42 to which they will not respond to to even get it. This move was a nightmare – unresponsive and unprofessional (the whole team and Brooke who was the most unprofessional and rude person after confirming her sale). Would never recommend this company.

TERIBBLE EXPERIENCE.
ABS moved my stuff from MD to TX and I had a horrible experience.
ABS sales person Brooke initially promised me to deliver the stuff in 2 weeks, when it was past 2 weeks she said 3 weeks and later she asked me to reach out to delivery team and the delivery team said 21 working days and finally delivered my stuff after 35 days.
ABS sales person Brooke confirmed the 2nd floor delivery and furniture assemble is included in the package I selected but the delivery guys asked for extra money in order for them to deliver my stuff to the 2nd floor. I tried calling ABS Delivery center, Customer care, Sales person multiple times and all my call went unanswered. I ended up paying extra bucks for the delivery guys and they did not even assemble my furniture.
After opening my boxes, I saw there are few damages and tried contacting ABS again several times through emails, text messages, phone calls and none of my concerns were answered. And Further to my surprise I saw mice/rat droppings which is very disgusting. Not sure where they left my stuff for more than a month.
ABS answered all my calls before they picked my stuff and after picking up they almost went disappeared.

They messed up my moving date and then refused to refund the deposit even though I'd done nothing wrong on my part. Find a better company to move your things

ABS moved us fro VA to FL, they gave us a price for the move which we thought was the final moving price to move our stuff and deliver it soon after they got there, but that wasn't the case at all, the price was not for a direct drop off date, that was never communicated to us . Also, when we finally got our stuff our dining room table was damaged an we were missing boxes. When we called them and let them know that, we got no resolution from them. If I could give this company zero stars I would. Absolutely a horrible experience!!

These positive reviews are absolutely fluff. No one answers calls or text or even email. Im pretty sure the Mike Hanson email they send you off to probably isn't even real. Nice when getting business but as soon as they get your money you are left waiting for your stuff until they decide to give up your things....we are still waiting after giving them a month notice. Waste of money and truly unprofessional

We had a wonderful experience with a long distance move. Everyone we spoke to was very helpful and communicative. The delivery was extremely quick (only a few days) & we were really happy with the process.

Absolutely terrible. They take your stuff and never give it back. They claim that it will be delivered by X date only for it to never show up. Then they stop answering your calls and emails entirely. Good luck getting your things back.

I don’t know if I was scammed, they are not responding my calls and I’m sleeping on the floor of my new apartment out of state already. Let’s see how this goes, they did cashed the check tho… I hope this is only a misunderstanding, lack of communication is strong here.

Delivery delayed both for pick up and delivery huge language barrier one of my boxes had to be thrown away completely for mice infestation no help resolving issue of missing item so flustered once they arrived you aren’t really able to confirm or deny what’s been delivered again language barrier I actually had the driver call back same day I’m pretty sure about my missing item but I was so flustered I knew I wouldn’t be able to understand him I called once I realized no one answered via customer service I was sent a text and told to file a claim I spoke to driver again he said he would check but denied understanding what I was saying at that point (less than 24hrs ago is when we spoke btw )

How do companies like this even stay in business? No communication... I have no idea where my stuff is or when it will be delivered. I've had to threaten to involve lawyers just to get a basic response, and even that didn't work too well. Still waiting for my delivery.....30 days past the agreed upon date.

ABS Moving was a great partner from start to finish. I had an easily reachable point of contact (first Brooke and then Lisa) from the time I inquired for a quote to the time my things were unloaded at their final destination. Every question I had was thoughtfully answered.ABS requires detailed inventorying of items to be moved in order to provide an accurate quote. They are not able anymore to come out and walk the home for a 100% quote guarantee. But I gave a meticulous accounting of my items and was very close to correct in number of estimated boxes when the movers arrived and there was no attempt to charge me more for anything. The movers who loaded my things were fast, professional and kind. The movers who unloaded my things were equally so. I received my items only five days after moving. Nothing was broken that I can find. Nothing is missing that I've noticed so far. They put my items back together that they took apart to load and they are probably sturdier than they were before.I highly recommend ABS for a moving service and would use them again.

We're late picking up. After our move we had a hard time getting in touch with them for delivery. After a month our stuff was delivered. I paid for a full move and they didn't unpack anything but the furniture. They also left all their trash. Our motorcycles were damaged in the move and they tried to say they were that way when they got them. So..needless to say...now we are fighting their insurance to fix the bikes. Please stay away from these people. They are lies and the most dishonest people to deal with. As far as stars go, a minus 10.
