Kumon Severna Park has not only boosted my daughter's confidence in Math but given her a great foundation. She is more confident and her speed and accuracy have greatly improved. She has demonstrated these attributes in her school work this semester and her teachers are very pleased with her progress. I recommend Kumon and especially this location to any parent wanting their child to excel or be more confident in solving math problems.

My son started Kumon tutorial at the Severna branch Maryland in October of 2021. Ever since then, his math, and writing skill has greatly improved. His teacher at his regular school recognizes his Math and English ability and would not stop complimenting him. I feel really proud as parent for making this choice.

We have been taking our daughter to this Kumon location for the last year. I have seen huge leaps in terms of her ability to focus, work independently and master basic math and reading. I’m pretty sure Kumon is the leading reason for her success over the last pandemic school year. She went from not reading at all, to reading sentences and has greatly improved handwriting. I plan having all of my children enrolled when they are 4 (when our daughter started). My daughter loves the staff and Ms. Robin. Extremely well run, organized and clean center. Highly recommend.

Both of my boys go to Kumon at this location. My pre-k student improved his number and letter skills in a short time, which was impressive. My 3rd grader improved his writing and reading skills, including his handwriting. The homework workbooks are so helpful in reinforcing the material they learned.Ms. Robin, center’s director, is very pleasant to work with - she is passionate about kids education and eager to provide any additional support if needed. In these times of virtual learning, Kumon was an important addition to my kids education.

As a student, I was struggling with many basic math materials. School didn’t teach me that well because I was a slow learner. My mother put me in Kumon and I met so many nice teachers like Miss Liz and Miss Robin. Miss Liz is always such a kind hearted and great spirit with a bright aura everyday I go to Kumon. Miss Robin always works hard to keep students on task and always helps me when I’m struggling and even asks if I’m okay with my studies. I’m so grateful for Kumon and I’m always so happy to go to Kumon classes every week. <3

My 5th grade son was so thankful that I sent him there during strict virtual learning because he could enjoy the classroom experience with friends and pencil and paper - according to him! The class materials are relevant to the respective grades, the teachers are very kind and dedicated to their students' success. Kids will have to work extra hard to regain what was lost from school closure but that is necessary for them to thrive later on. I highly recommend Kumon to any parent who is looking for a professional tutor for their child.

I am a assistant teacher at Kumon Severna Park. As an employee, I can confidently say that the center is an area where students are able to thrive. Students who struggle with school are given direct assistance and are able to comprehend difficult school material within a few weeks. Here at Kumon, we strive to foster relationships with the kids, achieve excellence, and encourage learning. Students at Kumon will only benefit from the experience.

Kumon is an amazing experience I got as a student. It was at first hard to do my homework but Miss Liz, Miss Robin, and Mrs. Kim cheered me on ! I got better at work and also got better in school because of them. I’m so grateful to be in Kumon and they help me so much. I appreciate the gestures they do for me and happy to be in Kumon!

I was familiar with the Kumon program, having grown up doing the program myself. I signed my daughter up in the second semester of her Pre-K year, as I felt a little extra assistance learning to read and learning sight words would be beneficial. My husband and I could not be more proud of how far she has come, and could not be more thankful for Ms. Robin and her Kumon center in Severna Park! Now that we are halfway through the Kindergarten year, my daughter has gone from being in the middle of her class, to being the most advanced in reading and math as she now reads at a 1st grade level.Over the summer, amidst COVID and school shuffling, we signed her up for the math program in Kumon as well. She is excelling in both of these, is excited to learn, and has learned to work through school frustration when it comes to learning, because of the repetition of the Kumon program and how math and reading is taught. In addition, my 6-year old has already learned the importance of daily practice, and I can see how it benefits everything else she does. After school she voluntarily offers to do her Kumon homework and practice her violin as she knows these are daily tasks, and she does so without an argument--which is a direct result of Kumon.I cannot say enough positives about Kumon, but especially Ms. Robin and her center specifically!
