“I wanna express my gratitude to the owners of this bookstore, which has had a significant impact on both my older son and younger toddler in manifold ways. The owners' commitment to serving the community goes far beyond selling books; rather, it extends to providing literary and cultural opportunities that cater to the diverse interests of everyone. When the pandemic hit, my older son's daily routine was uprooted, and he lost interest in reading. However, we found out about this bookstore shortly after stores could open back up and the bookstore's book club proved to be a valuable tool in revitalizing his love for reading while aiding in his gradual return to a sense of normalcy. Also, when my son experienced stress in school, the owner provided the appropriate books to support and reassure him.Likewise, my toddler loves the bookstore. Additionally, I am grateful for the plethora of events organized by the store that caters to young children. These events create an enchanting atmosphere, imbued with adventure and a love of reading. This bookstore is more than just an ordinary retail store; it is a hub for cultural exploration and intellectual discovery. The owners' dedication to their customers and community is evident in their thoughtfully curated inventory and diverse events. I highly recommend this bookstore to anyone looking to experience the magic of reading.”

“Walking distance from USNA, Annapolis Main Street, and capitol building. Gorgeous interior with a homey feel. Outside is very pretty and green, and people sit down to drink a coffee/eat a baked good or just quietly read a book. One of my favorite spots to get some fresh air. Usually decently quiet.”

“Really nice bookstore for believers of Jesus Christ. Has a lot of books, trinkets, jewelry, keychains, Bibles, and so much more to help those on their believer journey or show love to a fellow follower of God. Staff is always nice and helpful if you have a question about an item in stock. Always leave with something I can use to better my spiritual growth. Highly recommended for all believers.”

“On Annapolis’s Main Street, Back Creek Books is a cozy bookstore full of curious antiques and marvelous old books. There are many categories and titles to choose for reading enjoyment. The store owner, Rock, is cheerful, helpful, and a great conversationalist. I can tell that he genuinely loves his store and appreciates those who visit.I satisfied my thirst for history and adventure by purchasing the book Battleground Atlantic by Richard N. Billings. Priced quite fairly, the book will assist with my quest to read more in 2023.Stop in at the Back Creek Books store. I know I will return soon.”

“Bottom Line: Large bookstore with a Starbucks inside. There is just something charming about a bricks and mortar bookstore. In high school I enjoyed checking out this bookstore and fast forward a few years, cough cough, I meant decades, and I am still a fan. The store is large with thousands of books of course but also a big magazine section, a whimsical kids area, plenty of toys, lovely gifts and stationary and Starbucks. Paper Source and Barnes and Noble are owned by the same company so the stationary and gift section is full of pretty little things. While all of that is well and good, I really go for the puzzles! Barnes and Noble has a good selection of puzzles from quality brands like Ravensburger, Galison and Clemontoni in piece counts ranging from 300 to 3,000.”

“Independent book store. Lots of unusual things so you can always find something different. Everything that is used is in good condition, but they also have lots of new things. In the old Marley Station Mall.”

“Wyrd was a cute little bookstore! We went on a Sunday and the three of us were excited to pick up some stuff on our lists we'd been hoping to read. Unfortunately, while they had 4 or 5 whole bookshelves for YA books, a whole corner for fiction, plenty of cook books, a kids section, and lots of classics, they only had a half book shelf for Scifi and Fantasy together, most of which was just Lord of the Rings sets hidden behind a chair. I know they can't have everything since space is so limited, mostly I want others to not go in and be surprised or disappointed. We ended up not getting any books at all and just enjoying drinks instead. There was a lot of seating to just hang out and relax which was really cool, even though we didn't get any books we liked hanging out. I got a rose tea drink which was good but VERY hot.It was a nice afternoon out browsing and enjoying tea, but I don't think we'll be back, there are just closer coffee shops and closer bookstores that carry stuff we're looking for.”

“I've been coming to the Book Nook for years and was so excited to see how much they've grown after being out of state for 4 years. Hands down the best place for kid's books, but even with all other genres they have a large selection and all fairly priced. They even have a foreign language section that has all kinds of languages in it and range from kid's books to actual textbooks I've used in formal language classes. And you can't say enough about the staff. They're all so sweet and welcoming. I tell everyone I know about the Book Nook!”

“Only open to the public about 7 times a year, but worth stopping by. Great selection of books. Parking can be a pain though with Thrive Gym next door, competing for spaces.”
