My two puppies, Lime and Lulu, always visit Dr. Holden. All staff adore our babies and take a good care of them. Dr. Holden is very professional and took a very good care of them. Our dogs got neutered and fixed by Dr. Holden and recovered very well. They love visiting the vet and always get yummy treats. Lime and Lulu will always go to Severn Square Vet. :)

I came here right after adopting my bunny (Meadow) who had a pretty mild eye infection and had been at the shelter for a while because of it. I wanted to get it checked out ASAP to make sure it wasn't anything urgent. I was a little worried about bringing her to a generic vet for the issue but the closest exotic pet vet was an hour away from me and booked out pretty far, so I thought I'd try it out. The vet was AMAZING and very knowledgeable. He was incredibly kind to me and Meadow and talked me through everything he was going to do. Meadow's pretty shy and jumpy but she seemed to really be at ease with him. She ended up thankfully just having some bad conjunctivitis that has gone away within a month of our visit with some consistent antibiotics just like the doc said. Nothing too major and the pricing was definitely fair. I brought meadow in a tiny carrier I got when I adopted her, and the staff went above and beyond and sent me home with a much larger more comfortable crate for Meadow. His care for animals and passion for his job was really evident. On the outside it definitely doesn't look like much but the quality of care was pretty amazing. I definitely recommend this place!

I have been bringing my two dogs here since they were babies ! Love their staff . They’re so sweet to the dogs and very kind to me as well. Ignore the other reviews . Everyone has an off day so it’s normal not to be 100% all the time. I will continue to bring my pets because I see how wonderful they are treated every time .

I have never had friendly customer service here. Today I just spoke to a gentle man who was very rude and unfriendly. I asked to schedule my dog a follow up and he stated she hasn’t been in in 6 months and would need to come in for a refill. This makes perfect sense. I wasn’t sure it had been 6 months so I asked “are you sure it’s been 6 months?” And his first response was “MAM! It has been 6 months since December” I was very light and airy because that is the kind of person I am but I must say. I have brought 2 or 3 of the dogs I rescued over the years here and they aren’t friendly. Today is 5/23/2023. I brought my pets here out of location convenience but today was the final straw I’m not coming back. If u want a place in the area close to you , this may be the place but don’t expect a welcoming staff. In addition I said ok let’s book her an appt. The doctor hasn’t been there in over 1 month and when I asked when I could book her because her eye infection is bad, he said he can’t at the moment because they are backlogged with all the clients they need to rebook. Just my experience over the last 5 years. Doctor is also very older and will most likley not be there much longer. I don’t need my butt kissed but being treated like a valued customer is important to me as I chose them over other options. Yea I will continue to shop small jaut not here.

It's convenient to Ft. Meade. They have a military discount. The vet is super kind both our animals have been well cared for.

I tried calling 5 seconds ago and I got hung up because I am Deaf and I used interpreter. I am trying to get information so I can get my cat looked at.

My dog was having an emergency around 7:40- waited until 8 and called several times only to be hung up on. The receptionists are so incredibly rude. never come here if you need immediate attention- even if you live on base and it’s close, which is why we tried this place. So disappointed.

I needed to bring my pet in for vaccinations. They told me she had to be sedated for the visit. They said it was CDC guidelines for every animal. Though I’d understand if it was a troublesome pet, but mine isn’t (she’s 10). I didn’t want to do it but I was afraid of breaking the guideline. I called around to several vets and they never heard of it. I also did research online. Nothing. I don’t like to be lied to, so if I couldn’t trust their word, I really can’t trust them with my pet. I canceled.

Somehow they messed up my appointment then tried to blame me for it. I was told I never scheduled one even though I had a time and date for it. Someone clearly didn’t input the appointment into whatever system they use.

Amazing staff and doc. Been bringing Milo here since I’ve had him ( he’s a year in May) and they all have been taking amazing care of him. Highly recommend!!

This is the best vet I have ever been to. And I have lived a lot of different places. Dr H is the nicest ever and his crew is EQUALLY as nice. I have never met a sweeter staff. I saw someone review "be prepared to wait" --- Dr H & staff will let you know Monday and Fri appts are hard because he gets a lot of pets hurt over the week or weekend. I assume this is because he prioritizes based on injury and illness which is great and you should appreciate because one time that may be your fur baby in need of immediate TLC and Dr H will surely squeeze you in the schedule if he can! Prices are great!
