Wonderful place to host your events. The only downfall is the parking. There's minimal parking for a large area of meeting spaces and restaurants.

I work for MCF, and we held our annual all staff meeting here; it was wonderful! Loved the atmosphere of the restored old mill, and the Great Room is gorgeous. It was a great space for our entire organization to congregate. We got to explore the shops around it as well. Highly recommend!!

Let me talk to you guys about Angie and Denise for a minute...honey they know what they are doing. They captured every detail we wanted for our big day. I had the bright idea of planning my own wedding, they asked the right questions to keep me on track. We had a covid wedding and we were able to postpone with no issues. The venue offers this gorgeous natural light and has a vintage feel to it, our guests had fun and there was a lot of space for them to move around. Our day was special because of this venue and this wonderful ladies THANK YOU SO MUCH.

Good forbid you come from any culture that isn’t white American, because this venue, which is in Howard County MD (one of the most diverse counties with a high foreign population) forces you to cater through them and virtually all their catering options are AMERICAN!! Do better. Have more international and inclusive caterers. You are in HOWARD COUNTY.

I'm writing this review strictly about a member of The Great Room staff. I was delivering cupcakes for an event last weekend and when I arrived, I was told I need to talk to Angie (Head Event Manager) about logistics. Once I found her, simple questions like 'where do I put the cupcakes' and 'what time does the event start' were met with cold, short replies from Angie. She asked why the cupcake boxes weren't labeled and I told her my client did not request it, I was only told to make the cupcakes and deliver them. The flavors were pretty obvious but I wrote them down anyway. She then implied that I wasn't prepared, again in a condescending tone. Certainly not how I wanted to be treated after spending 6 hours making cupcakes!I was actually considering having an event here, but if I have to deal with Angie I definitely won't be booking them.

It's a very nice facility, however I have two quibbles about it. one the audio did not work so well on the day of the event and there was no one to help me. I futzed with it and was able to get it to work. But nonetheless it was slightly embarrassing.Second, customer service could be more friendly before the event actually goes on. It's nice when customer service says we will do it your way, rather than you will do it our way.
