Having my mother at Brooke Grove since 2017 has been a wonderful experience, unlike her previous nursing home. Everyone has been very kind and caring. Thanks to all the staff for a wonderful job, even on challenging times, there is always a smile. ?

My father has been a resident at Brooke Grove for over a month now. Because of the level of care that he has been receiving, I wanted to write a review for anyone considering this facility for their loved ones (or themselves).Brooke Grove is a place dedicated to not just recovery, but to personalized care of the resident. The facility, with its calm and healing atmosphere, provided the ideal environment for both physical and mental recuperation. The staff has been great, provides top notch service, and really cares about the resident above and beyond just “doing their job”. The professionalism and expertise of the rehabilitation staff were truly outstanding. Physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other rehabilitation specialists were not only highly skilled but also deeply committed to providing individualized care. The state-of-the-art rehabilitation equipment and facilities are impressive, facilitating a wide range of therapeutic exercises and activities. What made the experience even more impactful was the staff's encouragement and support. The facility's culinary team also excelled in providing nutritious, well-balanced meals. My father really is enjoying the options that are offered. In summary, my father’s experience at Brooke Grove has been amazing. The dedicated care, personalized rehabilitation programs, and the supportive community of staff all contributed to a highly positive and effective rehabilitation experience. I am immensely grateful to the team at Brooke Grove and would highly recommend their services to anyone in need of comprehensive and compassionate rehabilitation care.

A close relative of mine has been in long-term care at Brooke Grove for more than a year, and our family has been very grateful to have him there. Everyone I have dealt with (medical staff, billing department, social workers, etc) has been professional and helpful. He is getting good care and we enjoy spending time there when we visit.

My mom was a rehab patient after surgery for a broken leg for 3 weeks. Due to the program and PT she was able to leave rehab with skills for being more independent in a wheelchair and a great positive attitude to carry through until she would be back on 2 feet. We really appreciate the help and attention that Brooke Grove provided.

Lovely Nursing Center with a caring staff. My loved one is in the dementia wing and has only been there three months so she is still adjusting. Hoping she will make friends and get more comfortable with the staff helping her with her daily needs.

I want to thank the whole team of caregivers at Brooke Grove for the excellent care and compassion provided to my father. My wife and I are amazed at the quality of care, the facility itself and the array of services offered. It is a real gem and comforting to know my dad is in such good hands. Again, thank you so much. BG Rehab and Nursing is the best in Montgomery County. Regular audits by the county seldom find any deficiency. I have visited people in various Nursing Centers during the past 10 years. Permanent and temporary residents at BG were happy with the care, meals, pleasant welcoming environment, activities and more. I am always impressed with BG's caring staff when visiting someone. I have observed bad care at several other facilities where inattention had sometimes led to medical decline of the person I was visiting.

My wife suffered a TBI from fall at home. She arrived at Brooke Grove Rehab and Nursing Center after spending 3 months in various hospitals. She came for the rehab and she stayed 3 months. To say the PT staff is amazing is an understatement. She arrived on a stretcher unable to hold her head up and left there in a wheelchair. She still needed a hospital bed ( I got her the exact model she had at BG for use at home) and 24-7 care at home and more therapy, both at home and as an outpatient.Just yesterday we stopped by to visit the staff and thank them. My wife also wanted to show them she could walk, talk, and use her left hand (her left arm and hand were both frozen due to spasticity). Her stay from July - October, 2020 was during the height of COVID-19. They had their procedures down pat and moved her into a new COVID-free wing.We couldn't asked for more caring and professional help. 3 months is a long time. Was every day a perfect one? Well , It came really close. Lapses in attention were extremely rare. It was a very stressful time for both staff and patients, and for loved ones unable to visit. If I could give them 10 stars, I would.I forgot to mention that I hired a care manager to guide me through my wife's care and treatment. Brooke Grove was her first recommendation. After two months of looking for COVID-free facilities , some 100 miles away, I couldn't find anything better.

Our mother is a resident of Brooke Grove. She was initially in the assisted living facility but transitioned beautifully to the nursing center this year. She is stable and thriving. Mom enjoys interacting with the Brooke Grove staff and other residents. We are grateful for the care she receives at Brooke Grove.

Update: This was maybe 4-5 years ago. I've unfortunately learned that these types of facilities can be great one year and awful the next. Ask questions and visit the facilities first. Make sure to talk to the actual people that do the therapy. Even after selecting a team/location, you have to stay on them. Make sure they follow a plan outlined after the initial evaluation. AND stay on top of the medical team. Be there for your relative (often or every day).Maybe fine for a broken bone or something, but not for elderly with complex medical issues. Mother came in from hospital and was assessed. By the time she left she was LESS functional than when she arrived. Plus they had a lot of trouble keeping up with here medical conditions and they do not communicate well at all. If you have someone there make sure you insist on knowing what is going on, any changes in medical or abilities, what the plan of therapy is and regular updates about these things. If you don't stay on top of this, your loved one may suffer the same fate.

The nurses and technicians who cared for my mom were so kind, caring, and loving. They treated my mom with respect and were also a fun group! Family involvement is important to them and meant a lot to me as her daughter and caretaker. The doctor, the administrator, dietician, PT, OT, Speech, activities staff and all involved worked so hard on the complexities of my mom's issues. Thank you all for your loving care!
