We couldn't be more pleased with our new Camry and the outstanding service we received from Pohanka of Salisbury. Special thanks to Hunter White who handled our purchase and trade-in with exceptional courtesy and competence. Thank you.

Pohanka Toyota has been the worst. Every time I go there it’s an issue. Unfortunately I feel obligated to use them because I got one year free oil changes when I purchased my car. (The car purchase was another horrible experience) got my vehicle oil changed on 11/10/2023 prior to a 3 hour trip to Baltimore. Saturday evening prior to our return trip home I noticed my van was leaking oil! I had zero tools with me and luckily a Good Samaritan close by had a jack. We got it up with the jack and quickly realized that the drain plug was so loose I could turn it by hand. We tightened it up and that solved the problem. How does a Dealership not take the most basic of steps to ensure that a drain plug is tightened properly? luckily I noticed this prior to making my return trip home. Had the plug rattled loose and the oil all came out the engine would have blown and I’m sure it would’ve been an impossible task having Pohanka Toyota take responsibility for it. The worst dealership I’ve ever dealt with. If I could give them 0 stars I would’ve done it.

I’ve purchased 2 vehicles in past 2 years from this dealership. Great sales force/service staff and reasonable pricing. Folks went above and beyond to help me understand the benefits and operations of my new EV.

I highly recommend the repair shop at Pohanka for their quality service, extensive knowledge and honesty. They have always responded to my questions or concerns and explained things in a manner I understood . I have been there for oil changes, tire rotations and to address error messages on my Mitsubishi Outlander. When service was needed scheduling was considerate of my schedule as well. I have received the best service from the front desk to the actual mechanics. They have treated me with respect on the phone and in person. They are honest and trustworthy….. never tried to sell me a service not absolutely necessarilyI am grateful that I have such great group at Pohanka of Salisbury available to me . They should be commended for being such an asset to the company.TY

My family and I have bought cars from Pohanka, as well as had service done there for quite a few years. We’ve had good times as well as a few small issues, but overall, happy there. I took my 2017 Highlander Hybrid in yesterday for an oil change, possible brake job and new tires. We also discussed tire rotation if I didn’t need new tires and an alignment. When I got the call with suggestions, we agreed on which tires to buy, the things I didn’t want to do, etc. I had originally said I had a figure of $1500 in my head. Their price was $1900, so we took out some of the items and it came to $1400. I agreed and a few hours later, I was picked up by the shuttle to get my car. I paid for the work and went home. This morning, I looked at the bill and there was a charge of $30 to rotate the tires and the last item on the bill was $38 for “customer pay shop fee for repair order.” I sent a text to the service writer to ask about the two charges. She apologized for the tire rotation and said she would refund it. The second charge she couldn’t refund because every customer is charged this fee. I asked what it was about and this is the answer I was given: “Shop supplies are items that are bought in bulk quantities that cannot be broken down into small portions that we use when we service customers vehicles. Some examples of shop supplies are floor mats, rags, cleaning solvents, spray grease.” I am eliminating her name. This isn’t her personal policy. So every single customer who has their car serviced has to pay $38 just to walk in the door. What if every restaurant, grocery store, shopping center, etc. charged you for their supplies? They actually do, but it is absorbed in your dinner, the food you buy and the clothes you wear. I am so disappointed and disgusted by this charge. I am sure a good profit was made from my $1400. Did they really need another $38? So what do I do now? I have a hybrid, not every mechanic can work on them. Does every service shop charge this fee? I’m looking for a new service center in the meantime. And if I don’t find one? Maybe enough customers will complain and the fee will be gone. By the way, I’m still waiting on the refund of $30.

The staff made it very easy for me to have my car serviced. I pulled up to the door. Corinne came out to greet me. She called the shuttle for me to go to work. Corinne kept me informed via text, and when my car was ready, she texted me. All the staff were great. The cashier even snipped the tag off my key to make it easy to put back on my key ring. Corinne gave me her contact information for the next time. Great experience.

After buying a car at pohanka Toyota I had called and said that the car doesn't seem to be getting the gas mileage I had been told. They told me I should be getting around 30 miles to the gallon. My car only reflects 26 miles to the gallon and they are all highway miles. They asked me if I wanted to trade it in and I told them that would be ideal. So I brought the vehicle in (less than a month and less then 500 miles) and they turned around and offered me 6000 less than what I had paid and it was a used certified with 45000 miles already. Truly feel that they saw this first time buyer coming and took full advantage. When buying the salesman was asking things like are you going to take the b-bus. Not the salesman but the man behind the computer running the numbers. High pressure rather than making me feel comfortable. Now they say, "the milage should be between 25-32, what do you want me to do," but fail to ever do anything. Don't schedule service or anything. Even after showing them the chewed up rims covered with paint they had sold me that washed off they shrug and say, "what do you want me to do?" They are not professional and really don't care about the customer just making sales.

We met a delightful young man who listened to our needs & dreams & then worked tirelessly with us & the manager to get us what we wanted. We test drove 2 vehicles, considered used v/s new pricing & benefits. The financial lady was thorough in explaining options for warranty & maintenance. And getting financing accomplished. They even went to another dealership to let us compare a contender at our request. As senior citizens we have a strict budget, but they were able to come very close to our payment amount. Politeness & hospitality were over the top.I recommend chocolate chip cookies & milk for a snack. Also recommend a mirror in showroom behind car so driver can see light assembly. Perhaps 1 in front also.

Not that there's any good time to get a "check engine" but certainly everyone would agree not during the Labor Day weekend. Here are the good things though!I was pleased to discover your maintenance shop was open on Labor Day.I was greeted by service advisor Corinne who was attentive to my issue. Corinne kept me posted on what the maintenance technician discovered and the potential costs. Corinne thoroughly explained everything in the end.Although he was behind the scenes, I have to give a special thanks to the technician who methodically and thoroughly diagnosed my check engine light. So far so good!I watched the dynamics of your facility and everyone was kind and personable. That was a plus too. Thanks again for a great experience at your dealership!

Was not happy with my experiences today.Came in since my check engine light was staying on.I had a coupon that said I would get a complimentary vehicle inspection so which included scanning the on board computer for diagnostic error codes.I was told that I would have to pay to have the error code diagnosed. I said my engine light is on telling you the specific diagnostic error codeLong story short I had to pay $160 for them diagnose a specific the error code.It turned out to be a faulty gas cap not sealing properlyI then had to pay $ 32 for a new gas cap bringing my bill to $199.The coupon then was no value and I felt misleading because it was supposed to be for scanning the on board computer for a “diagnostic code”. The code was for a bad seal on the gas cap. It just made no sense to charge me to say the code had to be diagnosed.Even if there was reason for an extra diagnose charge $160 was excessive for a test that probably took no more than 10minutes. Very frustrating for a long time new car and service customer.I did speak to both the service manager and the general manager, but did not get any relief from the $160 diagnostic charge

I’ve had a few bad visits in the past but today was amazing. What started as a simple maintenance visit turned into a one day buying process all in all, was able to get myself into a new vehicle as well as my mom. Tucker and Chris were more than accommodating throughout the buying process, tucker was highly motivated to get us into vehicles that we would enjoy and hopefully run us a good while. Give your boys Chris and Tucker a raise. I’ll be sending my people here from now on ?? Thank you guys ??

Had an issue with my car that made me feel unsafe. I immediately went to Pohanka. Melissa Williams greeted me and took my information. She advised that it needed to be checked out. After reasonable time she advised the shop manager took car for ride and inspected on the lift. She advised vehicle was safe to drive. I felt great relief! Appreciated Melissa's concern. She reassured me and that was exactly what I needed!!!

Ashley was very accommodating with her schedule. She was able to get my car in the same day and kept in communication with me to let me know what was happening and when the car would be ready. She timed it perfectly with my return from out of town. No pressure to do anything additional, but a comprehensive list of possible service needs that we can work with over time. I appreciate her professional, yet friendly demeanor.
