This happened last year and I'm sorry for addressing it right now, but I've been angry about it for months.
My wife neeeded a car. Went to Pohanka Kia. The price sticker on the car was (as they ALL were) amended to include an additional $2100 "market adjustment" increase. When I asked what THAT was all about, I was told by the salesman that was what the car COULD be sold for in a high demand market. That amount was in addition to the sticker price (which no one ever pays, at least anyone who has negotiated a car price). I was told THERE IS NO NEGOTIATION about the price. If she wanted that car, it would be the sticker price PLUS the $2100.
I wonder what Kia executives would think about their "market adjustment" efforts?
Anyway, she needed a car and didn't have the luxury of having time to shop around, so she did the deal. Against my objections.
By the way, I've cosigned on a Mercedes there and bought an SUV there, too, but I've NEVER encountered a dealership that not only DEMANDED (like it or leave was their attitude) the customer pay the sticker price, but also DEMANDED an extra couple of thousand above THAT price.
My wife makes her own decisions (she is from France and doesn't understand American car price negotiations), but I will NEVER go to Pohanka again for a car and if my wife ever considers it, divorce will soon follow.
The sticker price PLUS $2100 more dollars?? Their arrogance and attitude (again, if you don't like it, you can leave -- that's the price) ruined any future dealings between them and my family. My sons and daughters also have bought vehicles from Pohanka. Thats also over. Absolutely over.

My story is too long for this platform, however the bottom line is, Pohanka can easily fix my problem (that they sold to me) but they refuse to take responsibility. I do not recommend. At all.

My wife and I stopped by to check out the Santa Fe. We had been checking it out on YouTube and wanted to see it in person. We had been to several other dealerships in our search for a new car, but they were all about high pressure. Luke, our salesman was very helpful and answered our every question and went along with us for a test drive. He was great at explaining all the car's features. If we end up buying a Santa Fe, it will definitely be at this dealership.

New car, came in to find out why phone can't be paIred. Loved it, got there before store opened and was met by an employee telling me someone will see me at 7. Explained my problem, an hour later, was told my car was ready. They changed my oil, rotated my tires and corrected a recall item. After thanking them, I asked was my phone paired? Head technician plus his manager informed me they tried but my phone was too old. My phone is only a year old. The technician managed to erase everything programmed. I was so upset. They did reprogrammed my Google account after I started the car and realized everything was erased When I got home, my husband paired my phone with my car. I think I have a problem with the sound system , not sure what I'm going to do.

Buying a car from the salesman and his manager at this dealer was like the olden days of slick, tricky car dealers. I actually left the store without buying but as soon as I got out the door, Benito's manager came out and talked me into coming back in. At that point I felt I was double team-tagged with a lot of numbers being thrown around, and fuzzy math. The rebates and discounts that Benito told me I qualified for were later not included in the math they were showing me. It was just horrible high pressure old-school sales tactics, and even though I am an accountant and a paralegal, those 2 got me to fall for it. Five months later I am still kicking myself every day and regretting I bought from this sleezy dealer.
