Fully automated system that loops into itself telling you to figure out yourself online. Pathetic customer service. After spending an hour navigating their automated phone responses I found a voicemail that was full. I'm sure it's been full for years.

20 weeks pregnant threw up in their parking lot and they made me clean it up lady was rude about it and didn't even offer me a bag had to dig through my car to find one terrible people can't imagine how they treat customers

Let me first start by saying that if I could give this company 0 stars, I would. What a joke of a company and complete scammers. I rented a car from 11/30/23 to 12/4/2023 and was quoted $190.38 with an extra charge of $19.96 for satellite radio that was added on without our knowledge. After contacting the HERTZ in Salisbury, MD, they were agreeable to take that charge off upon the return of the rental car. On 12/4/2023, I called HERTZ in Salisbury, MD to get a quote for a possible extension of the rental car as I had a family emergency that needed to be taken care of. I was told by Lena (resides at the middle desk in the office) that there would only be an additional charge of the daily rate. When arriving on 12/5/2023 to return the rental car, I was told to leave the keys and they would send me an invoice as they were busy and wouldn't be able to help for a few minutes. I was agreeable to wait as I wanted to be sure that I wasn't being charged more than I was invoiced. I was told that they were charging $298.65 to my card on file because I had rented the car for a "week" at this point so automatically the charges were changed to the "weekly rate" vs. the "daily rate" that I was told the day prior. After asking to see a breakdown of the charges, I immediately mentioned to Lena that the day prior I was quoted $190.38 which she agreed she told me. She was able to give me a discount of $59.78 because of my troubles but this was the "best that she was able to do" and I was encouraged to contact HERTZ corporate for a refund of the extra $101 that I was charged. I contacted HERTZ corporate who encouraged me to dispute my credit card for the $101, contact the GM of the Salisbury location, and that they weren't able to issue me a refund. I contacted the HERTZ Salisbury location to speak with Lena who after giving me her GM number, hung up on me. I contacted the GM and left a voicemail approximately a month ago and have yet to hear anything from them. I received a bill in the mail from HERTZ for $101. Once again, I contacted HERTZ corporate and specifically asked for a supervisor in which there are none on site or any that are able to answer to HERTZ Salisbury's faults. This company is a true scam and full of dishonest workers.

Truly an atrocious company from top to bottom. Forty minute waits on hold only to deal with a lady who doesn't give two squats about being honest or helpful. The car had an oil change light on DAY ONE! We called and I was more than willing to stop somewhere. Nope. Fourty minute hold lady said stop by the shop. I had zero time to spare! I just ignored it. So stupid.

These people are scammers! They invoiced and charged my insurance company “for not filling up the tank” when I stopped at the gas station beforehand to fill the tank. She also tried to blame us for a cracked windshield that wasn’t our fault, and when I pointed out all the inconsistencies in her story she left it alone and didn’t even mention that part to the insurance company because she knew she was lying. So she then tried to still get one over me and lie about the tank not being full. Not only does she lie and makes extra charges that are false but she steals money as well. My insurance company extended our rental for an additional 3 days, they requested it and paid for it, That didn’t matter because she made us pay that out of pocket in person knowing it had already been paid for by the insurance company. When I confronted her about it she quickly hung up out of embarrassment. She’s tried to pull the broken window shield on many others and the reviews are online. DO NOT I mean do not trust these people or even think about doing business with them. I’m definitely going to get ahold of corporate and involve my family lawyer because she tried it with the absolute wrong people. She will be dealt with legally and answer to her lies. Do not come to this highly unprofessional and scamming place.

I put a reservation in online for a midsized sedan on 12/14/23 to pickup same day. I arrived at 4pm, like I reserved. The lady working told me they don't carry that size at all. She said I can only get an electric car, or I'd have to upgrade at my expense. I asked her why is offered online if they don't have on the lot at all. She had no answer.Well, neither of those options were acceptable. I know nothing about electric cars, and I had a tight budget since this was an emergency. I needed to get to AL to see my dad with cancer. I was stressed and crying. She didn't even try to accommodate in any other way.This was my first, and probably my last time trying to do business with Hertz.

We call for our reservation and Ryan just talked to me in circles. I asked for a supervisor and he claimed he was one. He was saying that my reservation was canceled when we didn’t log back into the system to cancel it. Extremely unprofessional and not doing business with them again. Didn’t even try to fix or remedy the hiccup that was made on their side. Never doing business here again. Good thing my husband called before we went to go pick the car up.

I have rented twice from this location and have not had one issue. Both times the staff was great and even stayed a bit past closing so that I could pick-up my vehicle. The cars were always clean and if there was an issue with a dent or mark, the staff ensured to annotate it on the rental agreement. Will be renting from this location again.
