I've been with Cato since I moved to the Eastern Shore 20 years ago this year. I've never had an issue with them and anytime I've called or visited the Cato office the staff has been friendly and professional.

2017, I caught their uninvited fuel driver emptying his contaminated fuel into my mother's underground oil tank. Later that snowy night, her furnace stopped operating. I talked with the fuel manager with pictures in hand. He later returned my spent mother's money for repairs from a local Delaware company.

We have been very pleased since switching to Cato. They are responsive and provide excellent customer service. We find their pricing very competitive as well.

I had a Rinnai hot water heater that started leaking and I found Cato on the list of Pros at the Rinnai website. I called and was connected to Fred R who was extremely helpful. I was able to send him pictures so he could price out a replacement Rinnai Water heater and he was very responsive in getting back to me. His quote on the replacement and labor was very reasonable and he was able to have the techs come out within a few days to do the install. The techs were friendly and knowledgeable and replaced the water heater quickly and with no issues. I would recommend dealing with Cato!

I used Cato for over 10 years for my propane gas at my house. Their price per gallon got higher and higher and finally after paying $2.39 per gallon I decided to change my propane company. They were willing to pick up the three 120 gallon almost full tanks. I received a statement in the mail today and for the 209 gallons of propane in the tanks they are willing to give me a $0.79 per gallon. Not bad for a hold up. Then they out of the kindness of their hearts charged an additional $65.00 for a previous balance. Since the last payment i sent them for over $200.00 a few weeks ago was for propane at $2.39 a gallon I have found a thief that we call a gas company.DO NOT USE CATO unless you want to be overcharged and then screwed when you want to change.

This place is so far behind in time. They tell you one thing but never seem to pull through to the finish line. I have a rental property that I merely ask them to let me know if a tenant ends service or is not making payments prior to locking out the tank. But every single time they lock it out. Called suburban propane and they guarantee to notify landlord prior PLUS take pictures of tank when tenants take possession to hold them accountable for fuel. I also called Aero oil and they guarantee the same plus their fuel is .50 cheaper then CATO. I’ve had nothing but excuses from day one with Cato and highly recommend for everyone to use extreme caution with these snakes.
