Awful store. twice I have made appointments to get a hitch installed and twice they have at the time of my appointment said they don't have a mechanic and that I will need to reschedule.

THIS IS WHY YOU ALWAYS READ THE REVIEWS.they charged me $25 on top of the $19.99 plus gas mileage posted on the truck.I'm very curious as to why so I ask and they said you have to have insurance, and we have insurance... she said you have to pay for 'their' insurance!This place is horrible. The people were atrocious with customer service and I'm talking like the worst ever, we yelled for somebody to help us find the truck for like 15 minutes, nobody ever came.... they overcharged me and then overcharged me again, probably claiming the gas was off. I took a picture and I'm about to prove it's not.horriblenever using them again, anywhere unless they fix this.

Stay away. My issue wasn't as time sensitive as so many of the other reviews are. That said, it should have been an easy errand, no? NOPE. I was in line for close to 30 minutes, some of that because one of the workers at the counter wasn't calling people from the clearly marked line and despite the protests of those of us in the line, she just went ahead. So, while standing in said long line, I get to hear the three workers grousing about everything under the sun and, my personal favorite, how they're going to beat up on each other, kick someone's ass, etc. So classy. Hopefully, all in jest (although the obese brunette 40s woman looked liked she'd been in a couple fights) but is this really the state of customer service nowadays? Well, it is here at Uhaul.

The called the Centralized Customer Service at Uhaul two times to request a quote be emailed to me before I set up an appointment. I checked spam = no email from Uhaul. So I drove down to the Uhaul at 8641 Pulaski Hwy in Rosedale. It took about 1/2 hour to get the quote = they were having computer problems that day. I came home, called the Centralized Customer Service number to set up 2 appointments to get a bike hitch on my 2 cars (July 5th and July 7th). On July 5th, I was running late - so called the Centrailized Customer Service to reschedule my appointment. I was told I did not have an appointment today and I was scheduled for June 28th. I know I was busy until after the 4th, so I would never have done this. I reschuduled the appointment for the Honda Fit from July 5th to July 8. The Customer Service Representative did not know about the July 5th appointment, but the computer did = I was sent an email about how I would rate the service. I gave it a 1 star on that day. On July 7th, I brought the Dodge Grand Caravan to the 8641 Pulaski Hwy location -- arrived about 9:30 AM and checked in and went to the waiting room. I was told that the job would take 1-2 hours. At 11:15 AM I asked when the job would be done. MY CAR WAS NOT EVEN STARTED. No one told me anything about this much of a delay. If I COULD RATE UHAUL WITH A MINUS 5 STARS, I believe that would be a generous recommendation.
