In my previous conversation with Adam, I explained the entire situation to him, including the fact that I was denied a loan a few months ago from Easterns and I was there for a long time. He informed me that I am now approved for up to $21,000. I assured him that I did not want to waste his or my time, and he invited me in, stating that they also have a $4,000 fund to assist with my down payment. However, upon my arrival Adam was not available and the sales rep was Umer, I discovered that everything Adam had said was untrue. Umer did not hold any conversation with me he was on the phone the ENTIRE time I was required to make a $2,500 down payment and an additional $1,700 for tags and the title. I requested to speak with Adam directly, but the service representative informed me that he is an online employee. Subsequently, my credit was checked seven times and I left without a vehicle.

First and Last Visit to Easterns Automotive Group.
My experience; Called about 7:00 PM Thursday night about a truck I was interested in. Made an appointment for 10:00 AM the next day (opening time) and they said that they would transport the truck to their Glen Burnie location that night (I live on the Eastern Shore). Got a confirmation of my appointment later that night and again the next morning at 9:45 am. When I arrived, I was told that they did not transport the truck the night before, but it is on the way and will be there in 15-20 mins. A few minutes later I was told that the truck was sold. The manager said that they were sorry, but it's first come first serve. He then said that they had other trucks on the lot that I could look at if interested.
The Glen Burnie manager seemed nice and did try to help and checked his online website. It showed that the truck was still available. He called (I guess the main office) but didn't appear to get a good answer so he asked me to wait. This is Friday on Labor Day weekend and I have to travel back across the Bay Bridge. Nothing about this felt right so I left. If the truck was truly sold between 7:00 PM and 10:00 AM I would have at least expected a call to let me know before driving 1 1/2 hours on a holiday weekend. After I got home, I checked the website again around 1:30 PM and saw the truck was still for sale on their website.
Not sure if this was an attempt at bait and switch, poor communication, bad customer service, bad management or what. I do know that I won't be buying a vehicle from Easterns Automotive Group. Your experience may be different, but this was mine.

The Finance personnel treats women differently than males. It is a very misogynistic attitude and atmosphere. So deeply pertained, I walked out. Very unprofessional.
