Zadia Furniture sells unfinished wood furniture and has done so for 50 years. You can finish it yourself, or they have a company that will do so for you.The furniture is absolutely amazing! Nate and Rita are extremely helpful. I highly recommend Zadia Furniture.(When my furniture arrives, I'll try to add some pictures.)

We’ve bought many great pieces of furniture from Zadia over the last 30 years. Recently purchased several items to be trimmed out by our carpenter for a built-in look. We wouldn’t go anywhere else! Love supporting a local, family-owned business with great service too.

Wide selection of unfinished furniture and friendly staff. It can be difficult to navigate the aisles due to the number of items on display. I was told their website is currently being updated. They sell unfinished furniture, but they do work with a finisher in the area.

Our table has not been delivered yet. This review is for the process we have went through so far with them and the person they work with for staining. The person Zadia's works with for staining (and delivery afterwards) is incredibly difficult to get a hold of. He told us that staining table was finished a month ago and it has still not been delivered. He does not have a vehicle to deliver furniture and has been having trouble renting one. Arranging the delivery has been incredibly frustrating as he sets a delivery date and then is unreachable when he does not make the delivery date that he has. We have been very understanding about his difficulty getting a vehicle. It is the setting of delivery dates, not making them, and then not always communicating that he will not be delivering the table on the day he has set that is unacceptable. Zadia's assumes zero responsibility once he has the table. I expect better customer service and communication from a local business. All in all, this will be our only purchase from them.

I'm looking for bookcase and living room furniture. I never visit Zadia but I saw good reviews on quality and staffs are helpful and professional so I decide to stop by today. Unfortunately, when I told the staff about what I'm looking for. He reminds me that this store is not Ikea and things are not cheap and expensive here. That's pretty insulting and I don't understand if my age, gender or race makes him feel that I can't afford these furniture. I still walk around and at the end I asked for business card and who I should talk to if I decide to buy 2 bookcases, the staff still refuse to tell me his name. My overall experience is that he wants me out of the store asap. I would think they should improve on their skills on dealing with new customers. I would not recommend this store.

Hello Friends, I'm no professional wood stainer but the nice people at Zadia Unfinished Furniture made me feel like a pro. I bought 4 unfinished chairs for my Brasilian hard wood dining table. The table is from the Colonial Period of Brasilian history. The table was literally made in Brasil sent to San Diego then Switzerland and finally in Rockville MD. The table was badly damaged and was almost ready for the dump. But one day I spotted Zadia. I stopped, looked and decided I needed to refinish the table. Long story short, Nate can help you with all your furniture needs. They sell finished and unfinished furniture of a very nice quality. They sell a special gel stain that is very easy to apply and a top coat to seal in the beauty. I highly recommend this shop. Nates mom is amazing. She does all the receipts by hand and doesn't use a calculator. They don't make em like that anymore. These are great people selling a fantastic product if your willing to try your hand at refinishing. I did with zero experience and I'm sitting at the most beautiful table finished with Zadia magic gel stain and on Zadia's beautiful hard wood chairs. I am glad I met them!

We initially used Zadia back in 2006 for a few pieces when we first moved to the DMV area. We recently moved further out, into DC, but knew we should use them again for some new pieces for our new home. Rita and Nate are always so helpful and knowledgeable. Having viewed some items in advance on their website it made our trip to the store more fruitful. We found a line that includes a custom finish and a small selection of hardware options. They forecasted a 10-12 week lead time. It did take a little longer, but it was to be expected with how the wood industry has been affected by the pandemic. We picked it up just a few days after it arrived. The courtesy didn't stop at the sale or the pick-up call. Nate and Michael not only showed us the piece, the function of the drawers, and how to remove them. They packed it back up and carefully loaded it into the van for us. We forgot our packing blankets, and they provided us with multiple foam sheets to ensure we could get it home unscathed. Go there and find the solid wood piece you've been looking for. It's a small showroom and they cannot display everything. If you have something in mind just ask. They have been doing this for 40 years and have many vendors and countless options to choose from.

Excellent customer service. The seller went far above and beyond to give us tips on finishing the furniture and was very helpful in helping us make sure the furniture was not damaged when loading the car. We were impressed by both the quality of the furniture and the wide selection of available items. We're excited to finish our piece and hope to be back soon for more!

Excellent quality and great value. We have purchased the majority of our furniture here and have been very happy with it. The customer service is also excellent. We recently moved out of state and have since continued to buy our wood furniture here.

Excellent service and excellent selection! If you are looking for unfinished furniture, this is your place. My wife and I needed some dining chairs and Zadia furniture didn't disappoint. Nate was superb and made the experience a breeze. Trying to match existing decor, unfinished chairs were a good fit for us, plus, it's kinda fun to just do it yourself sometimes. The quality is excellent!

Wonderful experience and furniture. We went to look for a kitchen side board/cabinet. They were extremely welcoming and helpful. The model we wanted was out of stock, but after we left Nate called their warehouse and found one in stock. Got it that week. The cabinet itself is beautiful solid wood, well made, and nicely put together. Highly recommended.
