What a nightmare, I do NOT recommend this UPS store. Being in the hospitality business and in sales, I have never dealt with such unprofessionalism.
In May 2024, I came to this location (as its closest to me, only 5 minutes away) to ship out a large package for my friends bachelorette party... not a big deal right? The representatives at the front were very nice and helpful, but did not follow UPS protocol - COMMODITY SPECIFIC STIPULATION when shipping out of the US. They asked me exactly what was in the box, as a matter of fact they PACKED the box for me and saw the items in the box. They even listed the items in the RECEIPT and I have proof - "Chocolates, Sunglasses, and Decorations" is what was listed per the workers at the front. No big deal right???
UNTIL I get a call from the Conrad Hotel in Tulum Mexico. Our Bachelorette planner was made aware from UPS in COLUMBIA saying they cannot ship the package to Mexico because of the CHOCOLATES in the package. Here we are 2 weeks away from our big trip, and I'm stressing to figure this out. My husband gets in contact with the UPS Store OWNER here in Rockville and they said they'll ship it back and we can workout an "agreement" for funds since it was not shipped to the designated location we PAID $239 for.
Thank God we received it 2 DAYS before I had to leave for our trip. Not only did the chocolates melt all over the items in the box and half of the merchandise were thrown away because of damage... I had to pay an additional $60 to check-in my luggage with these items.
To even make matters worse, my husband was in contact with I believe the Owners name is Raj, while I'm on my trip to make arrangements for a refund. Raj says he'll only give us a partial refund - HALF is exactly what he said because he "had to pay to ship the package back". Sir, you are a business. Your employees should know to check the COMMODITY SPECIFIC STIPULATION list BEFORE sending any packages anywhere. That is NOT the customers job. We even spoke to UPS Corporation, and they said it is the employee's job to check the list to confirm certain items are allowed to be shipped to specific areas around the world. We also have this in writing.
I am in the middle of disputing my charges with AMEX, and the owner is making it very difficult. He is saying we received our package. YES we received it, but we did not PAY to ship it to Mexico and have it come back to us because your workers did not check UPS protocol. It DID NOT arrive at the destination we paid for. So, I will continue to dispute this as I am out $239 + damaged goods + an additional $60 to check it in.
Very upsetting, I will never use this location again and I recommend everyone else to go elsewhere. To the Owner, do better.

Went by this location to get a document notarized. No issues at all and a couple employees acted as witnesses. Everything then packed up and shipped. Very friendly employees. Call ahead though as I’m not sure notary services are available every day.

Always a pleasant experience, and I make frequently monthly visits as someone who subscribes to a clothing rental company. Staff are always extremely friendly, patient, and efficient.

Today is the second time that I get there at 9 AM when it’s supposed to be open and there is no one there and the place is locked. I didn’t have the time this time to wait around for someone to show up to open the store but last time I waited almost 20 minutes before someone showed up to open it. It’s just very unprofessional.

If you want quick UPS store go here! Amazing service, nicest employees, very friendly and they are super knowledgeable in everything!! Ask for mohsin shakeel! Very smart, kind & generous man! He deserves a raise, UPS is very lucky to have him on their team!
