As a frequent visitor, I just checked out the latest exhibits. It's pleasant to see whatever is currently shown, and almost always there's a beautiful (IMHO) and affordable work that someone else has snapped up. Grounds also are pretty.

It's a lovely place to go for free (and paid) events for people of all ages and varied interests, (dance and music performances, art, a stroll around the grounds dotted by sculptures. ($ donation appreciated). The staff are so friendly. Tempting gift shop with a range of prices and products. The current exhibits ("Translation Through Art", "Thinking Globally") in the Mansion are well worth a visit and spending some time taking in the art works. Parking is usually free. Metro close by.

The Mansion at Strathmore is a fantastic venue for every season. The rooms are tastefully done with 2 rooms for the wedding couple. It's close to the Metro station, so guests can have another transportation option. The Strathmore staff were great to work with. The rotating artwork on the walls really add a lot of color to the space, and you don't need much additional decoration. The Music Room is phenomenal for both the ceremony and as a place for dancing. The venue costs are very competitive.

I go here with friends for the afternoon Tea. It is always delightful and relaxing. Great way to spend an afternoon. The music is very soothing and beautiful.
