Our company has been through the Deluxe->Paychex debacle and after a recent recommendation from a local bookkeeper, I reached out to Steve with SHS Payroll. We onboarded and processed payroll in a week. THAT IS UNHEARD OF!!!!
Wendy with SHS Payroll has gone above and beyond to answer all of my emails in a clear concise manner and extremely quickly. I am so grateful to have found a LOCAL company, which prioritizes customer service the old fashioned way.

I switched over to SHS Payroll in December of 2023 due to a larger company just not fulfilling any of the expectations they had set for me and themselves. When I first spoke with Steven he promised the customer service I was missing. SHS payroll has absolutely delivered. I always speak to a person when I call, I always speak to the SAME people when I have a problem and most importantly, I always hear back in a timely manner. Even when I have issues that have carried over from my previous payroll company, Wendy, Kayla, Amber and the rest of the team step up and handle things for me. I can't say enough good things about SHS Payroll. The team is filled with superstars. Special shoutout to Wendy who has (in about 5 months) literally undone almost every problem created by my last company.

Steven Suissa and his team at SHS are excellent. They provide the type of awesome service and responsiveness you won't find at one of the "big" payroll companies. I highly recommend SHS Payroll!

Not only did they continued to withdraw funds for an employee who had been terminated and somehow made it my problem, they messed up employee contributions to the state of Maryland and the Social Security administration that I now have to unravel. Do not recommend.

I have four household employees due to care-giving needs of my wife. For years, I have been wring weekly pay checks and making monthly and quarterly reports for withholding and unemployment insurance. I recently switched to Seth Opel and his team at SHS at the recommendation of my accountant. I could not be happier with the results. For what I believe is a very reasonable fee, a tremendous chore has been shifted to the hands of professionals.
