Midsized store with fairly good organization and layout, book section is fairly small, two standing bookshelves generally mixed up. Clothing is sorted by type and then sometimes by colour way, but not by size, which leads to more time spent sorting through individual pieces and then checking sizes when shopping for someone specific. Usually one of the older price tag colours will be discounted, there is a sign at the entrance saying which colour. Pricing seemed well within typical thrift store ranges to me, items within the same category can have a range of prices e.g. women’s dresses can range from $6-$12.I would subtract half a star for the religious playlist if I could, I recommend headphones/earbuds if that’s not your thing.

Huge selection of clothes, right across the street from the Metro which is a huge plus! I could spend hours in here.

I like to shop here. But mostly because of Robin one of the gentleman that works here. He is always so kind to me. He can instantly tell when I’m not feeling like myself, and he brightens my day every single time. Thank you Robin for being so nice.

We scheduled a furniture pickup and hauled everything outside to be picked up. All very nice quality pieces brought over from Europe by my grandfather. When they arrived, they said that anything they pick up has to be in a perfect condition-meaning no scratches or scuffs at all. This is pretty ridiculous in my opinion. So we ended up doing all that work for nothing. I really don't recommend using the salvation army unless you're basically trying to get rid of furniture that's still wrapped from the factory or in the box...

Huge selection of clothes, furniture, kitchenware. Slightly limited in jackets and shoes but is still a major thrift gem

When I come to this Salvation Army’s location it’s usually always great & I come here pretty often too. The staff are all nice, expect for one. He’s usually happens to be on register. His demeanor comes off as rude. He’s sarcastic. I’m not sure if he thinks he’s funny??? He rounded up my change during the transaction & he didn’t ask if I wanted to.. he just did it. Sure, it’s just a few spare of change but it’s not exactly his decision to make. He said it was a charge fee for the plastic bag but I never mentioned I needed a bag. Any other day I do come in he doesn’t even bother to ask if I do need one.

Nice thrift store location of the salvation army in North Bethesda. Located close to the metro station and bus stops. The men’s clothing section had some really nice variety of clothing types and brands at very affordable prices. They also have women’s clothing, books, shoes, knickknacks, bags/luggage bags, and other typical thrift store items. Friendly staff members and there were some parking available.

Great store. Find treasures, such as beautiful ceramics, and some fun stuff at great prices. Love this store. It is spacious, better organized than I would expect, and clean! (Really, even bathrooms are clean - much better than at TJMaxs, etc), Only wish is that they would expand hours and have the donation center and the store open later.

I wish I had read the reviews before trying to donate my furniture. Advice to the org; maybe ask for pictures prior to scheduling pick up so that no one time Is wasted if a donation doesn’t meet your standards. Also make your standards clear on the donation form.

I felt treated differently because of my style. But I hope it was just me. A gentleman named Robin was more friendly. 2 employees need retraining a caucasian guy and a latin girl. Both seemed like they eyed me as if I was a burglar or something. I know it’s a very difficult thing to do but we should do our best to not judge others based on their appearance and more so on their character.

i was impressed by the organization of the store. It is well laid out and cared for. The clothing is in good shape and separated according to size properly.I bought a couple of T-shirts and two flannel shirts which I have been happy with. I also bough 11 CDs. All of them are unscratched and played without skipping. That has not been the case with some CDs I have bought from other thrift shops. There are other interesting items to buy like bicycles, musical instruments, furniture, DVDs, electronic games, and even VHS tapes. There are also some shoes and boots but they were not in great shape. The staff was friendly and professional. Most of them greeted me with a smile and a hello when I arrived. The cashier also let me know that I could get an additional CD for free if I bought 4. I thought the prices were very good on everything I purchased.I have had a positive experience during two different visits and will go back again.
