The person who drew my blood was AWESOME!! I am always told my veins roll but she was able to get it on the first stick and it was almost painless. She rocks! And, I didn't have to wait for my appointment.

Disappointing experience with the male phlebotomist on 12/23/23 at 9707 Medical Center Dr. Suite 120 Rockville, MD 20850. He started with an attitude claiming he couldn’t find my orders online. Condescendingly stated “there isn’t a yellow info symbol next to your name indicating you have labs to be drawn, so I don’t have labs for you.” After an exchange and him searching a little further, he found the labs exactly where they would’ve been in lab manager. Didn’t bother apologizing for his misstep, instead he muffled “close call.” No, not a close call, he just didn’t open his eyes and look. I decided to overlook this and figured he was having a rough morning, probably shortstaffed, etc. It’s holiday season so I can understand. But then he proceeded to rush through the entire draw. He was running in and out of the room exchanging with other staff before getting started with no regard for cleanliness and sterile prep. Used the same gloves he was using on the computer, touched the door when coming in and out of the room, etc. When he finally came back in and settled down for the draw, he quickly threw his supplies together and proceeded to stick me with the craziest stick I’ve ever had. Stuck without palpating the area, and dug the needle way too deep into my arm. I immediately knew I would be leaving with a collapsed vein. No regard for stability as he switched out the different vacutainers. When done, I had to ask if I was free to go as I was left sitting with no instruction. I was responded to with an attitude as if I was inconveniencing. I then had to proceed to lift the arm rest myself to leave (with used supplies still sitting on the arm rests around me). I left with blood soaking through the gauze and now, hours later, a painful hematoma. Also of note, he had me sign for the labs but didn’t have me double check/confirm my demographics for the patient identification stickers that go on the vacutainers. In essence, I completely understand the holiday season makes things stressful as many organizations are overwhelmed with an influx of customers, downstaffed, likely underpaid, etc., but this is not an excuse for the treatment (and hematoma) I received today.Quest, please staff this location appropriately and retrain on sterile prep, gentle touch, etc. I’d recommend also reminding employees to not rush and remain gentle so people don’t leave with hematomas and blood-soaked gauze. People bring their children to these establishments with employees like this sticking them. I won’t return to this location for future draws.

So this is a weird one... made an appointment at Quest Diagnostics on Medical Center Drive to pick up containers for my wife (stool samples). First the technician didn't understand the doctor's instructions and sent me back to my wife's doctor for clarification, which I did. I returned a few days later after the doctor's office had provided explanations as to what is needed. The technician handed me several containers with instructions for my wife how to provide samples in these containers. One of the containers was explained to be placed into our freezer once sample has been added. Which we did. Today I went back to Quest to drop off the samples. This time, there was another technician, who told me that I was given the wrong container for the frozen sample and asked me to transfer the sample (!) into another - much smaller - container (!). Now I have a few problems with that. First of all, it's almost impossible to scrape once soft, now hard frozen shit out of a container without any tools. Second, I should have received the correct containers in the first place, in particular since I had to go there twice to even get containers. And third, I shouldn't be put into such a situation as a customer .... Educate your staff! Lesson for me: to carry a spoon next time I go to Quest ;-)

The worst “Doctor” I have met in my life. When I walked in no one was even in the front for me to check in. I waited about 5 minutes before saying hello…a lady yelled from the back saying “I’m busy” she finally came out and was extremely rude saying she was with a patient and is the only one there. (This is not my fault) 40 minutes after my appointment time, my son gets called back. He is young and when she saw him she kept saying “she” I had to correct her at least 4 times. THEN she had the nerve to say “oh usually people with kids this young coke with both parents” I stated, I have never been to any Doctor with another adult …I AM A SINGLE MOTHER. This was beyond disrespectful to say. She couldn’t even find a vein I specifically told her if she wasn’t going to get blood don’t do it…she promised she could but instead didn’t get a drop, literally was moving the needle in my babies arm. She tried both arms and at this point I was not putting my son through this anymore because she clearly had no clue what she was doing. She took 30 minutes in her last patient. BEWARE & FOR YOUR OWN SAKE FIND ANOTHER QUEST. Thank me later :)
