Can't do the prescriptions on time. I had to wait days for them not even to pull the scripts from the computer. Even after calling and visiting the store. I even verified with my Dr's. They sent the scripts. I don't believe they r on top of thier game.

Pretty good experience, pharmacist is professional and courteous. Most customers are fine but I’ve seen a few customers that are downright rude to the hardworking staff which is unfortunate. A few of the pharmacy techs are quicker and more efficient than others to retrieve meds and get you checked out. It takes a bit of patience sometimes as it’s an urban location with high traffic. Have some empathy for the staff and the pharmacist who is filling meds and also administering vaccines.

For almost two years I’ve been dealing with constant issues with my prescriptions never being ready at this Giant Rockville Pike location . Month after month after month I have to fight for my medications to be available. They do not understand how imbalanced and suicidal they leave their customers. I’ve seen people practically crying in line because of the same issue I’m having. Many of us are on controlled medications and cannot take our medications when this location feels it’s convenient for us to take them. Every month I have to suffer panic attacks and many mental and bodily issues just because I do not have a proper regimen in place due to this pharmacies negligence. There’s always an excuse that something is on back order, until you raise hell that is. People have lives, many travel for work, and cannot play these constant games for their medication. Every single time, every time, I am ready to pick up my prescriptions, they are never filled. Meanwhile, I give them ample time to order what’s out-of-stock so that I don’t constantly run into these issues. I’m constantly being lied to though. Neither our time or health needs are respected. I feel very unwell every single time because of the imbalances this is creating for me. In addition, because of my prescription never being filled in-time, I’ve been left with no choice but to give myself my own injections and I’m scared of hitting a blood vessel and getting blood clots or a heart attack. I used to have my doctor do it at my appointments, but now I have to do them myself because my prescription is never available in-time for my appointments. I’m going to go public with this very soon. I have shopped at Giant my entire life and never had an issue with the place and the food is always fresh.I critique food and as a "fried chicken" aficionado the Giant recipe is spot on one of the best in the business - the Shoppers that is now a PGA Golf palace had the best, but Giant now kicks Roy's and Popeyes - it's a great value and the breading is great!Service is always great! Love the butcher!It's well lit and always bustling and the ambience is engaging.Fried Chicken!!!!

I usually like this food store. My wife generally prefers Food Lion for better prices. My visit here this week was only fair. The first thing I noticed was an unpleasant smell. As if dirty and contaminated water had been used to clean the floors. It was morning and not very busy, so really it shouldn't smell bad.They did have my favorite yogurt and that was a good thing. But it did cost a dollar more than I expected. I also picked up a few quarts of heavy cream. I called my wife to make sure I was getting the correct items. And she let me know that I was paying a dollar more than usual per quart.At the self checkout, I said I might need help. But the employee walked away. As it turned out - I did complete the checkout unaided! I decided I'd say thanks and try to brighten what seemed to be a dreary day for the employee.I guess next time out - it is back to the less fancy but still workable food Lion.

I Hate this store! it's a complete mess! From the quality of food, lack of selections, empty shelves, freezers busted, dirty, old, meat is gross, produce is disgusting, employees are useless, registers never work right. Basically the only redeeming quality of this store is it's location. Oh yeah! I guess Giant knows this! That's why they can keep doors open and sell this crap at ridiculous prices! Good for you and your shareholders Giant Food! Bad for me as a consumer. Where is Publix! The Mid Atlantic region needs you right now!! Giant, it's time for some competition! You Suck! A Very Far cry from the days of Izzy Cohen! Hevis rolling around in his grave right now:(

2.5 rating. I have been ordering online and driving to pick up. I most often have to go into the store for some issue w the order or another. Most of the problems are with someone picking old overripe produce. Or, because my accounted isn't credited for substitute items I don't want. Whoever is shopping produce (Matthew?) clearly isn't paying attention which means I have to go into the store which defeats the purpose of grocery pick-up!!!Patrick (super friendly and customer oriented) and Sandra at customer service are responsive and helpful. Why does customer service at this location open at 9 and not earlier?

This place is great. Massive selection of kosher and Jewish food. I was super surprised by this! Prices are great. Better than Whole Foods.

Showed their true colors, wanting to see people who are disabled go without food. Long story short: I went in to buy food on 11/20/22 at about 10:10am store #125 and spoke to Manger Carrie D**** trying to use my digital ID to buy $6 worth of food for my dependent but was turned away. I offered to show evidence she was my dependent, but was refused. She said she would not accept my digital ID from the company, despite the company using the digital id because it takes 3x weeks to send a replacement card in the mail, and they know people have to eat. The card, btw, is a printed piece of paper with a barcode on it, nothing official like a magnetic strip.I told her to call the company to prove this was acceptable, she refused, I called to have the company call her, and she HUNG UP ON THEM. She said "Nobody tells me how to run MY STORE".What a Loathsome person to add just another boundary to people who are disabled, just because she made up her own rules, and wants to play King.Again this is $6 worth of food, for a disabled person, from a legitimate business partner of giant food, with a legitimate digital id. Disgusting...

WORST PHARMACY!!! I was promised my medication was in stock and that it was going to be filled. The young lady told me to come back in 1 hour after confirming that she had the medication in stock. I come back the medication wasn’t ready. The lady told me it’ll be a few more minutes. Then they give me back my prescription and they inform me it was out of stock after an HOUR OF MY TIME WAITING. No one called nor text me to notify me about the medication not being in stock. I trusted them to make sure I was going to get my medication. I find this TRULY unprofessional as I trusted the pharmacy to refill the medication I NEED. I WASNT OFFERED AN ALTERNATIVE NOR THE GENERIC VERSION. MY FIRST AND LAST TIME going to this pharmacy I was truly unsatisfied. In my book I give them negative stars!!!!

I’ve read some of the reviews below, and I am shocked. As somebody who has worked in retail pharmacy, I can assure you both the pharmacy technicians and pharmacists are caring and helpful. I am a customer of this Giant Pharmacy and have not been disappointed.The community setting is meant to help the community, and this pharmacy is doing just that. I have seen the whole team hustle to provide numerous vaccinations while managing the prescriptions to get their waiters and customers served. They are hard working and caring people and to hear that the pharmacy manager is snide or that the service is reprehensible is a disservice to both the manager and the team. The entire team including the manager has been helpful and professional, and I find they do an excellent job with customer service.As someone who has previously worked in community pharmacy, let me take some time to explain the pharmacy workflow. It consists of the ENTIRE process from the moment a prescription is received at the intake area or a phone call is made to refill a prescription to the time that it arrives in the customer’s hands. Pharmacy workflow consists of numerous different tasks to ensure that the proper medication is dispensed along with ensuring there are no insurance rejections or drug interactions.I understand that as a society we do not like waiting for things, but to rush the process described above beyond the allotted time to get it done sets up a recipe for errors. I urge you to treat your pharmacy staff with the same respect you would treat those working in other retail settings. Retail employees are not robots.
