I had the best experience this morning picking up my prescription! I have had a terrible time at two different CVS locations in the area and was determined to switch pharmacies, but I will gladly drive a little further for this service. I was helped by a female pharmacist around 9:30am who worked efficiently with the customer ahead of me resulting in less than a minute of wait time (I don’t mind a wait, but it was so nice to see that someone was valuing my time and doing their best). More importantly, she competently tracked down my prescription, checked the bottle, positioned the bottle in front of me so I could also review the label while she continued on her computer, and asked clarifying questions about my profile. She asked me if I had any questions (rather than just telling me to sign, which never particularly bothered me, but it sure is appreciated to be asked), and facilitated the rest of the process. She had a wonderful disposition, didn’t treat me like a burden, and I will return to this pharmacy as a result.

Note: I came to this pharmacy because of a wonderfully helpful phone conversation with a different pharmacist over the phone last Friday afternoon. She competently answered my question about whether my prescription would be able to be filled (this was a problem and the other CVSs I tried the days prior) and explained it could be ordered and would be ready in a few days. If not for this phone call I would have switched from CVS despite relying on CVS my whole life because it has just been that terrible lately (other locations).

“Incredible customer service. Every time I call or contact them online they respond right away with kindness and patience. We have had only the most pleasant interactions with them. (They came highly recommended by our amazing ophthalmologist so I knew they'd be good, but wasn't expecting to get off the phone every time in a better mood than when I called because of how great they are.)”

Dylan the pharmacist is incredible. He remembers me by name, remembers my medication, and just truly cares. Odette is also amazing, too. She's so kind and friendly, and caring, too! They both truly go above and beyond to take care of those who get their medications filled here.

I don't know any of the other staff by name unfortunately, but I've never had a bad encounter with any staff there. I highly recommend this pharmacy and love it.”

“I stopped by Walgreens randomly today to grab some cold medicine. There was an old lady with a cart making her way up to the pharmacy window. When this Asian lady came out of nowhere and cut her off with the rudest look on her face. I was very proud that the pharmacist saw what happened and helped the old lady first. It’s just so disgusting how some people treat old people these days. Like have some respect. I will be transferring my prescriptions to this store. They care about fair treatment and equality. What is appalling is how this Asian woman tried to claim discrimination for not being served before the old lady she cut off. Kudos to the pharmacist. Good job young lady.”

“Pretty good experience, pharmacist is professional and courteous. Most customers are fine but I’ve seen a few customers that are downright rude to the hardworking staff which is unfortunate. A few of the pharmacy techs are quicker and more efficient than others to retrieve meds and get you checked out. It takes a bit of patience sometimes as it’s an urban location with high traffic. Have some empathy for the staff and the pharmacist who is filling meds and also administering vaccines.”

“Clean and spacious. Free parking in lot. Prices vary from "wow! great sale!" to "wow! that's ridiculously high." Staff is very friendly. Pharmacy to this and that. All is there.”

“Just spoke with Brittney about my prescriptions. She provided EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE which is a rarity, especially at the end of work day. She answered the phone with courtesy and kindness. She was concise and patient when answering my questions and made sure I had all the information I needed. 10/10!”

They have been very quick and attentive with my medications even calling me if I don't call them. I am from George Washington University in Washington DC and can rely on them completely to have my medications and have them delivered on time. “The pharmacist is very knowledgeable and kind. The other staff are also helpful and efficient. I have received several vaccinations there over the years and many prescriptions and never had a single issue. They are pretty fast at filling prescriptions and will rush orders if requested.”

“This location is not as good as Bethesda. The hot bar has only a few Asian dishes, the Bethesda store hot bar is 1 side Asian the other traditional American such as sweet potatoes, macaroni and cheese, scallopped potatoes, baked chicken, chicken wings, etc. The bakery, deli, sushi, hiot bar, salad bar, and starbucks are on the 2nd level as are several tables. There are 2 elevators in the back to 2nd floor, but they are not near the entrance. They have a salad bar which Bethesda does not, so a point for them, but the lack of American hot selections is a ding. Both locations have hot pizza by the slice as well as premade sandwiches and sandwiches made to order. Neither store has salad in the deli counter, but they both have prepackaged salads, you just can't control the quantity. Apparently no Harris Teeters sell POM tea, only POM juice. Like in Bethesda and for no apparent reason, lil smokies hot dogs are in the butcher counter as opposed to with the regular hot dogs in the refrigerator. This is not intuitive and there are no signs indicating this so you need to be looking for it. The prepackaged hot chicken selection is better in Bethesda too--they have many packages of 2 quarters for $ 4.99, and basically none in Rockville when I was there. Lots of whole roast chickens though, $7.99 like the 8 piece packs., but basically nothing that is single serving. The Rockville store is at White Flint metro and in a large residential area, so convenient if you live nearby, but I think Bethesda is worth the extra trip down Rockville Pike. Bethesda is also walking distrance of Trader Joes, so kill 2 birds with 1 stone, Rocville is across the street from Pike and Rose, but Bethesda has more stores in walking distance without the super busy part of rockville pike.”

“You wouldn't think it would be hard to find chicken thighs with the skin on? Well, guess what? I spent an hour calling around to various Giants looking for my chicken thighs. It turns out more people want the skin removed. : ( Enter, my hero, Steve, the meat manager at this Giant. Who found my chicken thighs and put them in the back for me. All while he was there all alone in the meat section. This Giant is well stocked, has a great Gluten free section and Hispanic food section. The people who work there are very nice and accommodating. The store is well stocked. It is clean and is well managed. Located across the street from the Rockville Post Office, you can get two errands done at one time. Score! Thanks, Steve, my puppy and I thank you. Thanks Giant for the excellent service.”

“After many years of having really unpleasant experiences with other local pharmacies, we switched to Safeway approximately 5-6 years ago and have had a really good experience with them ever since. We have found the pharmacists to be very caring and helpful. For instance, mostly recently, I needed to have a flu shot, but I am in-between back surgeries and so it is very hard for me to get around. One of the pharmacists told my wife that she would bring her flu shot kit with her down to our car in the garage to deliver the shot on our way back home from a visit with my neurosurgeon. This was soooooo helpful and kind of her to do for me.”

“I have never been to this location due to having others nearby that are a little bit more conveniente but I was impressed by the level of service and care Nicholas provided. He helped me with an issue I had with an order I placed online to pick up at the store and went above and beyond to assist me. Nowadays that it seems like good customer service is a thing of the past, it is great knowing there are associates like Nicholas who still care about the customer experience.”

“Store improved. Renovated, bright, clean, great customer service by some. Angelica in pharmacy goes over and above to assist which is appreciated. Very often it requires going into the store to resolve or clarify pharmacy concerns. The store is also all decked out cheerfully for the holidays!”

“I heart this location. A clean and fully stocked CVS. The coupon machine is always working, which is a plus for me because I coupon a lot! On this particular trip, I was in dire need of a pharmacist. I forgot her name, but she helped me get the right meds so I can get back to my old self. There was lots of Valentines day candy on clearance . I like how there is a cashier to check you out. Yall know I don't like self check outs lol”

When I purchase non-pharmacy items I make sure to check out with a staff person as they help me find much greater savings through my account than I would find on my own. “This CVS location is extremely well managed, thanks in large part to Axel Gary, the store manager for the past 6 years. They handle a very high volume of customers at both retail and pharmacy by using an amazingly large number of staff. Yesterday at the pharmacy there were 3 staff members checking out customers and 5-6 pharmacy staff intaking and filling prescriptions. Staff keep shelves restocked continuously and are called upon immediately to handle the checkout line if needed and assist customers with self- checkout issues. Axel and other managers routinely circulate throughout the store greeting customers and offering assistance.”

“This location is tucked away in a small shopping center behind Park Potomac. It's super easy to park at and the staff inside are super friendly. I don't shop for groceries at Walgreens but will stop by to grab discounted paper towels or laundry detergent. Items are always in stock and the lines move very quickly. The photo department is also really nice. I print a few 8x10s here a month since I don't have a printer that does photos that large. The photos are always ready to go and they have a neat notification system that allows you to have other people pick up your order. For a convenience/grocery story it's pretty no frills which is what I look for. If you have a sweet tooth make sure to go the day after Halloween and you can buy candy by the pound.”
