When I went to my original appointment with my kitten, they had run out of distemper shots so Anthony had us reschedule for 8/10 at 5:48 pm with a 20% off discount. We arrived a few minutes late and the scheduler inside petco held my sweet loving kitten and said that she was full of anger. They had then said they ran out of the vaccine as well, so me and my mother went out to the van and the white and asian ladies in the van and they had informed us informed to go back in and reschedule. Now all of a sudden, the scheduler inside petco told us that we had to pay to schedule. Which we have never done with this company (we have another cat). So me and my mother go back out to the van and the white lady gets attitude with us and tells my mother “I cant stop my work. I have clients right now. And you’re asking me to do that” proceeding to close the van door on us.

The vet was amazing as were the vet techs. My only minor complaint was the wait to check in but I totally understood why once I got up to check in and all my questions were answered thoughtfully and throughly.

Now this happened a few months back. But I have not had time to post until now. We took our two babies to this location as a last minute rush timing situation. I specifically requested don't cut there hair fur to low. Also spike fluff top. I was assured it's no problem and we would be happy. Three hours late my husband called me on FaceTime. When I saw our babies I screamed. All there hair was basically gone. Long story short we didn't pay for the hair cut and bath. Where given a coupon for next two visits. Apology from manager. I told me husband to leave immediately and toss the coupons in garbage. He being the kind guy that is is gave the coupons to some stranger shopping in the store and still tipped the groomer for his time. I was a bad experience. But you live and you learn.

We were 3 minutes away from this vaccination clinic and would be late by 3 to 5 minutes and the person in the van said the vet will leave and we need to reschedule. This is after driving 12 miles in traffic to get there. I will not reschedule after being treated like this and I prefer not to see a Veterinarian who treats us like this.

I used to work for vetco clinics(dmv, glen burnie home base), so I understand the irritations and stresses they encounter. The only difference of when I used to work with them, is we would control our faces and atleast WAIT til the client left the van to complain. It saddens me that even though the quality and presentation of service has extremely improved, the attitudes and professionalism is extremely lacking. 4 out of the 5 times I've gone to them in the past they have either been unclear about certain things like having to request WHICH heartworm prevention you want "prescribed" after blood tests in order to order it later on/get from outside resources, or their attitudes have been weird ,or most commonly just really bad in general. Alot of them give the vibe that we are irritating them, as if we are forcing them to be here. The most recent experience I had is that I declined getting a medication after they told me I would need to take my pets to a full service vet for an issue they saw.I understand why they would react that way,but if they already told me to see a full service vet, what difference does it make that I decline an offer if I'm already going to visit a full service vet ? They don't know my financial situation, maybe I didn't have enough money that day to pay for anything extra. It was made pretty clear by their facial reactions and attitude change how they felt. I was just trying to do my part and rescue some pets, and as "animal people" I'm sure we understand that rescuing animals sometimes come with surprises. When I first saw the vet I was admiring that she seemed to be a younger girl killing it in the industry, but as our interaction went on that view was broken by the reality that she is a child with bad etiquette and attitude. The vet tech was a smidge more pleasant, but when the leader/higher up/vet displays that its okay to act in an unprofessional manner, why wouldn't the rest of the crew follow that example. They assumed instead of asking. Both pets were new and came from "stray" life. They were currently undergoing the "slow introduction "and had not met one another yet, so their theories and statements they made were false. There's a couple other mobile clinics these days and even though I prefer going through vetco especially since I used to work there for a while, I may change up and start supporting the other companies. I hope the dmv team based from glen burnie ,MD can get their attitudes and professionalism back on track because I believe in a "keep it in the family" type of support AND I've been a strong promoter of that company even after moving on to other career paths.#DoBetter #BeBetter. Isn't the main goal of services like this is to help people?

Lack of customer service. I asked the cashier for a help. She just nodded not even helping. We had to come to the cashier again she gave me an attitude. So we got frustrated and waiting. Finally a guy came to my wife and helped her for short. Petco needs to be more training in how to approach and helping a customer.

I took my dog for a trim and grooming the lady that helped me upsold me from 80 to 110 which was absurd but the price isn't what bothered me. I was asked to come pick my dog up because he wouldn't want to leave the crate which is understandable . I come pick him up and she said "let's see if he finally wants to get out" with an attitude which was unnecessary he saw me so obviously ran to me. She than said " oh yea now you can leave to your home" and followed with a "ugh" These comments were childish, irrational and extremely unprofessional. Makes me wonder if she took her frustration out on my dog at the fact that he wasn't being complying. Disgusting attitude from the moment we walked in. Oh and as she was checking out another customer her attitude was totally different maybe it's because I'm Hispanic and the other lady wasn't hmmm. Anywho will not be coming back here disgusting human being to stoop down to a dog by saying rude commentary.

I came to this location yesterday for dog grooming and my dog's stylist, Lesly C., was amazing; she did a wonderful job grooming my miniature goldendoodle, so if you have the same breed or any dog with a curly coat, I'd highly recommend her. I'm giving a five-star rating for the grooming and customer service, however the store itself is quite dirty. I noticed there's a smell due to dog pee and I'm unsure how often it gets cleaned, other than that I love the numerous amounts of products they have for any kind of pet.

Rockville store is filthy and unsanitary, specifically floors have feces on it all over the store. Groomery staff specifically the lead is not able to work with large dogs. Brianna seem to be scared of big dogs. On multiple occasions while another groomer performs service, Brianna stops service because she feels scared. Store manager refusing to acknowledge groomery issues. groomery lead refused service to my large dogs because she is scared of them. Groomer in the same facility took care of my dogs with no issues for 2 years. Hope this helps all fur parents with xxlarge puppies.
