The owner and office manager are ridiculously greedy like everywhere else nowadays. They kept raising the prices so much that we have had to go someplace else for our care, so don't make the mistake of thinking that they care about your animals here, only about making more and more profit.
I was told that they own the building outright and I'm pretty sure they didn't give their staff a 20% increase so I think it's safe to say that all the usual excuses companies make about why they have to raise prices did not apply here. It was just plain old greed.

We brought our dog for rehab post TPLO surgery. He is a very anxious dog, which got worse after his surgery. Justin worked so well with him and got him to participate in every session to make so much progress! The whole process of getting in for evaluation, scheduling, and communication was a breeze. I can’t thank Pet Dominion, and Justin, enough for rehabing our dog back to his normal self!

Our 12 year old golden needed physical therapy for what could have been a number of physical and neurological reasons. I found Pet Dominion through our highly recommended orthopedic group VOSM here in MD. From the first veterinary evaluation (Dr. Brody) to a series of 10 rehab PTs with the rehab director Justin, we could not be more pleased. Our dog's progress was excellent with the variety of PT methods they use, and helped rule in or out other possible more serious conditions. From the moment you come in, the front desk staff offer smiles, assistance and lots of pets to your animal as they pass by. All in all, a great environment, great staff, and overall experience. We did not use their boarding services but the clients I watched go in and out all seemed very pleased. I highly recommend Pet Dominion !!

It was my 1st time boarding my dog here. We sent him off super clean. And when we came back from our trip he had poop all over his butt!! They didn’t even have the nerve to clean him before giving him to us. And it wasn’t even his poop. My dog was so dehydrated he came home drinking so much water!! I don’t think they gave him water there. He looked so tormented, anxious and was coughing afterward. Which hasn’t happened. I spoke to someone there saying he get very anxious they told me “don’t worry.” That’s a lie. I will never take my dog here again. Worst 1st time ever! How are they getting 5 stars?!?!?

I wish I could give more than 5 stars! Literally everything about this Veterinary practice was overwhelmingly positive. I found a kitten and didn’t know what to do, so when I called, Joe answered and immediately gave great advice. He was so kind and helpful. When I came in for the first checkup, everyone at the desk was immediately welcoming and friendly!! Tech Alexis was really calm and helpful when we were going over the initial information. Dr Brody was also extremely kind and knowledgable. Both answered all my (many many) questions and I never felt rushed or pressured. They also offered if I had any questions to feel free to reach out & gave great take away info pamphlets for me to read. They were really excellent, transparent, and I’m super confident my new kitten got the best care possible!! Literally looking forward to going back with in a month for her boosters. Would strongly recommend :)

I've decided to give Pet Dominion 2 stars because prior to May 2024 my experience was great. Once I rescued one of the puppies Pet Dominion had, my experience with them changed drastically. I had a business trip immediately after the rescue. Upon checking in the heavy set blonde was training a new hire, I was given the standard two sheets to sign for meals, meds and playtime. The blonde asked me if I wanted a package for the puppy, I told her no. Upon return from my trip, I'm charged an extra $300.00 plus for a package in which I was not informed was mandatory for dogs under one year to have this package. I was furious because there is no information stating this. I was also charged extra play time for for my other dog. When I began to question them about these charges, and informed them that I was not informed but only asked if I wanted this package. The manage would not try to find a way in the middle, she also informed me that there was paperwork that stated that I signed for the packaged. Of course, there was no information given for me to sign for. It is alway easy to initial the forgotten paperwork after the fact to add to the package. After this, I shared in an email the lack of trust that has now been placed. I also shared my concerns for now not receiving information concerning the proper shots for the puppy. Due to not receiving this information, I had to restart all of my puppy's shots for new born puppies. Thank goodness for Hannah's clinic which saved on numerous costs due to Pet Dominion's lack of communication. More lack of communication, my 2year pup needs his nails trimmed in which was alway done by PD, what they failed to share was that in order to do this he had to be on medication. I am not told this until the technician trys to clip his nails. Kepp in mind, I've spoken with the front desk and received a voice mail about his appointment but no mentioned of medication. Of course, I finally have a conversation with Dr. Brody. I shared my frustrations with him as well as how I am treated by front desk staff, when I would come in. Today I needed an emergency bath for my pups, and there was a hold on my file and was informed that Dr. Brody wanted to speak with my and would call back, When I received a call back not from Dr. Brody but from manager, I was informed that I could not return, but the funny thing is that when I spoke with Dr. Body ove rthe July 3 visit, he was already aware that I wasn't returning. I share this to say, make copies of everything you sign from the front desk before you leave.

I took my dog Cornelia (5lb Maltese) to Pet Dominion when she couldn't stop scooting her butt on the ground. When I brought her into the cage to drive over, Cornelia wouldn't stop crying and I was very worried given this was the first time I saw this happen, and didn't know how serious this would be. However, when we walked in, Dr. Brody and his team put us and Cornelia at ease. He was extremely empathetic to the situation we were in, and his team engaged with us with a calm confidence that made me realize things were going to be okay. When I picked up Cornelia after the visit, I even saw her licking Dr. Brody's hand, which she only does when she likes someone.
In a high stress situation, Dr. Brody and his team handled the situation with professionalism not just for my pet, but for me as well, and that shows me a mark of a good vet who knows how to balance all aspects of pet care. I will gladly return, knowing that Cornelia would be in both good hands and with her new friend!

My one star rating is very generous. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAT TO PET DOMINION.
On Monday, I took my cat to Pet Dominion for treatment of a medical condition (constipation). She received treatment and I was to told to bring her back if there was no improvement. On May 31st, I was told via a voicemail if there was no improvement, I should bring the cat in for an abdominal x-ray. When I called for an appointment, I was told the doctor said there was nothing more she could do for the cat and to take her to the ER. Our cat has been a patient of Pet Dominion for 11 years.
The ER repeated the treatment Pet Dominion gave the cat on Monday at a much higher ($1,600) cost. With no improvement, I contacted “A Cat Clinic” in Boyds, MD. Upon examining my cat, they recommended several changes to her medications. She is now doing better.
Bottom line: If you truly love your cat, take them to “A Cat Clinic” not Pet Dominion.

I can’t express completely my gratitude for the rehab department at Pet Dominion, and specifically Justin Bassett’s, care of my dog post multiple knee surgeries. His professionalism, knowledge and empathy were greatly appreciated during this stressful time. I would highly recommend this practice for pet care and especially rehabilitation therapy without hesitation.

It’s a great place to take your pets for vet care. I’ve also boarded my animals there in the past. It gets a little pricey, but I’m afraid all vets charge a lot of money these days. It adds up when you have multiple pets. Maybe there could be a discount when boarding multiple animals (2 cats & a dog last Fri-Mon wasn’t cheap - considering vaccines & exams were required). I’ve seen other places do multi-pet discounts and it’s very appreciated.
