For the most part I find Penfed King Farm and customer service number for Penfed helpful. They pay attention to détail. They introduced me to the première saving account and I accrue more interest.

I thought that I would receive premium care since it is a FEDERAL credit union. I completed my new member application 7 times and I am still waiting for my DEBIT card after it was ordered 4 times. The card comes from a third party that sends the card USPS. I get the statements, but has yet to receive the debit card. And when you call, the reps are clueless & unable to offer a plausible resolution. If I can drive all the way to DC to get a card then they can overnight a card to me from DC or Rockville. NFCU AND USAA ARE FAR BETTER credit unions. I bet if members of withdrew their money and went to another institution, they wouldn’t even notice.

Been banking here since 1988. They treat me like family. I have never had a negative experience here. No fees like other banks because they look out for the customer.

Very sorry to say that I had my account in Rockville branch for over 15 years.Worst customer service I have ever had in this bank. Staff is not professional and pleasant at all.Since the management changed, it’s worse now. I am not surprised to read the reviews of others. Shame… I really don’t feel comfortable anymore with this bank.

Linda Hodge of Germantown, MD is a member of PenFed. She defrauded me out of money in an online scam. She got me to send money to her, claiming to be a nurse. She is no nurse, only a scammer. She cashed my money order at PenFed. When I tried to get my money back, by her emails, she tried to get me to launder money. Beware of this person. This information is all true. Police and FBI have been notified.

Small branch in nice area. Was not very busy at all toward closing time, which is 5pm. Free convenient parking in parking lot.

This is the worst place to withdraw cash. They made mistake on a cash withdraw. Not only there was no apology from the teller at all, the manager was even worst because she did not admit the mistake and insist that she was yelling at me. The manager here and the teller are absolutely unprofessional. No wonder why this branch has the worst customer service with only 3 stars.

It is a shame that the lady at the teller does not know what she was doing, and the manager had no knowledge of how banking works whatsoever. Took hours but still cannot completely a single transaction. Worst customer service ever. absolutely unprofessional.

PenFed is not a great bank period. I was only a member with PenFed for 5 days until I left. I made a mobile deposit for over $8,000 and it took 5 days for the check to clear which is understandable. When I went to make a withdrawal the teller told I couldn’t because it was a new account even thought the money is fully available in my account. They were holding my money hostage so I transferred all my money out and say goodbye to PenFed.

Tellers are always great and provide exceptional customer service and advice. They could turn on the AC it's pretty hot in here while you're waiting feel like going to pass out. Offer water at least!

Worst credit union in the world. Don't go here, they are a bunch of lying people. They are a CREDIT union but don't help you with credit. If you are looking for a good CREDIT union go over to NAVY FEDERAL CREDIT UNION. They will help you to build credit. And they have great rates.

Rockville:I was so disappointed and upset with unexperience banker who doesn't know how to execute international money wire. I went there two separate days with two different swift codes still the lady can not perform my transfer.She keep saying no bank found which is not true. I have to drive all the way to Washington DC on Irving Street to perform my transaction. Thanks to Mr Cooper it took only less 5 minutes.please she needs more training. However ,most of the staff here at Rockville are onat point all time.

They made a mistake when reversing a fraud charge at the same time they were converting from one accounting system to a new one. They put the charge back on my account and 6 months later I still cannot get anyone to actually fix it or that knows what happened to actually call me back. Their customer service reps are very low functioning and seem completely untrained. Always several transfers to someone else that I then have to re-verify with. They are a nightmare to deal with. Their banking system and mortgage/equity line system are now completely separate and don't talk to each other at all. In order to make a payment on my equity line I have to create an external payment account on their mortgage system. They also changed my equity line account number and are reporting both accounts as if I have 2 equity lines with them to the credit reporting agency. I have made multiple attempts to dispute this but to no avail. They say "it's right". They are completely incompetent.

Place is a joke all the locations and over the phone customer service.Never can get a hold of their fraud department.I work odd hours and they close at 459.Save your time and money and do not open accounts here. Held on to deposit for 3 months
