“I used their after hours rental and it was a simple process. I didn’t have any issues with the truck and I got to keep the truck for longer than my reservation if I needed it.

“I've been a NextCar customer for several years and I recently had one of my best experiences at the Wheaton location. I had trouble getting to the location in time for my pick-up. Not an issue though because when the staff is clear they are there to serve, it make s a big difference. Steve took care of my rental with professionalism and care that was top tier. On top of that, the car was clean, ready to go and was a great ride during my trip. Customer service is lacking in so many businesses today, so I had to shout out Steve at the NextCar Wheaton location. Check them out the next time you need a rental!”
“I came here to rent a chain saw. They had enough staff around to make the entire process of renting and returning very efficient. The tool worked perfectly. They've also provided me with oil (for the bar) and extra gasoline, which I didn't need.”

“I was seen promptly, the clerk was friendly and the equipment was newer and in excellent condition (backup camera was a big plus). The clerk also called me right after I dropped off the van to remind me of a few things I left back in the store, which I was able to get. Parking at a nearby lot was plentiful on a Sunday. “Customer service and online reservation system were very good. The car was a 2024 Hyundai and got great gas mileage; The only problem with this car was the distracting dashboard warning (with alarm tone) that came on frequently and randomly - Consider taking a break. Sometimes it came on within five minutes of getting on the road.”

“I've rented here before at this Avis/Budget, and please don't listen to these reviews. The workers there are amazing and have always helped me and all the people I have recommended to come here. They build relationships and take their time to remember all the important things said by customers. They also almost always give people upgrades, and I have never had a bad time as they never treated any of their customers poorly. They always say hi and start a conversation as long as you are a reasonable person, which many aren't and expect more than what they paid for. You will be good, and they will take good care of you.”
“Open very early. Clean and new vehicles. Very friendly professional and knowledgeable staff in my experience. Rented a van that very same day. Was able to drop the vehicle off after hours. Take note that there is a process through their app where you need to answer a few questions which will take about 15 minutes in order to properly drop the vehicle off after hours. We were more than happy with the Randolph road Rockville Maryland location. Thank you U-Haul!”

“This Uhaul was the most efficiently run Uhaul I've been to. The line inside moved quickly, they found the online reservation I made an hour before and checked me in, and someone was right there to throw the trailer on. All told, this took 15 min. Then, when I brought it back, I backed in the trailer and someone was there to unhook and close out my order, maybe 10 min. Done.”
“It was, by far, one of the nicest vehicles I have ever rented from a Uhaul facility. The vehicle was very new and clean with a modern cockpit. The staff was courteous and returning the van was quick and painless minus one tiny caveat. Reasonable rates if you aren't logging too many miles.
What I was not a fan of:
1) I had to repeat some information through their verification process, upon picking up the rental in person. I prefer not to install unnecessary apps on my phone for privacy concerns.
2) It was a bit invasive and the "we will call your contact person" step was annoying because I knew it was 6 am where they were located. I'm not renting a Yacht! There should be a less complex verification process because I sat there for 15 minutes waiting for the agent to approve.
3) Some of the steps to continue forward were tiny blue text links, (on a phone amplifies the difficulty) which was very bad portion of the User Interface, considering everything else was large buttons. But thankfully the staff was quick to assist in locating what I had to click on.
4) The sign for where to return the vehicle was past the building and hard to see (too subtle as it should be bright and screaming "Look at me!"). It should also be closer to the entrance so you know that you have to go towards the back. There were staff back there to direct me where to go, but if you did the after-hours drop-off, you might end up a little confused.
All in all, the negatives were very minor and need some tweaking for the overall User Experience in my opinion. But the facility, vehicle, and staff were all excellent. If it wasn't for the invasive verification process, it could have been 5 stars.”
