So I take a check (an M&T check from my credit union)to the M&T branch nearest my home in Bethesda as it s raining and I didn't want to drive to Silver Spring where I usually bank. The place is empty, I give my check, ID, and M&T check card to the teller and let him know I needed $200 in singles as I'm traveling to Egypt this Friday and need tipping money. He tells me the person that can get the singles is not there, and says he needs to verify the check. I say okay, and take a seat. He then tells me he is unable to verify the check as the person didn't answer. I come to the branch at 12161 Rockville Pike, let the gentleman know what happened and in no time I cashed the check, put money on my card to send mom since I'm taking her with me to celebrate my 50th, got the singles I needed, and didn't have to drive to Silver Spring! That's what real customer service looks like. Big KUDOS to the staff for their professionalism, and for going above and beyond to make the customer ? happy. I need consistency from M&T. Now I'll go by the other branch and wave my singles like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman. Thanks again Rockville...you guys rock!

NEVER do a trust with M&T bank. They can never find records after repeatedly giving them to them to be scanned in and then confirming they were scanned in only a week later. They have no idea what they are doing.

Not the first time and have been meaning to leave a bad review but thought it could've been just that one person or two or had a bad day not that it justifies anything. Customer service should always be at a professional level l, especially living in this area.

These people or some don’t deserve to work there. I can understand not a reason to but I will give you the benefit of the doubt if I was rude disrespectful etc... but I pulled to the drive trough, sent my completed deposit slip and cash and never got a word from anyone. Hello/Good Afternoon welcome to M&T Bank I will be right back with your transaction. They guy just took it processed and sent it back.
I’ve been a Teller for 3 years and our guidelines were strict and closely monitored. We had high clients YES but regardless of client class, the service should be the same across the board which is how I worked all the time pleasant customer or not. I guess this poor service also factors into how you’re raised. I was raised with discipline, thought manners etc... I hope they don’t get paid $12 for the level of service they provide. EVEN McDonald drive through says hi lol
Can’t wait to close my account as the service is HORRIBLE and the fees are outrageously unreasonable.

Worst bank and ignorant agents ever! I went to open an account with my social security number and driver licence and the lady said my social was a taX ID and that i could not build credit with that. She asked me for more proof of ID and started to treat me like i was planning to rob the bank or something. Horrible experience,never open an account here. This people is not trained . they put anyone behind the desk.

WORST BRANCH EVER!!! Went to cancel my card because it was stolen, the girl clearly didnt know what she was doing. She lied and said my card would be to me in 4-5 days, Its been over a week. Also she ordered 2 cards so when i got the first one it didnt work because she sent it to the wrong address. And i still have not received my new card. And I had to change my pin number. WILL NOT GO HERE EVER AGAIN!

Worst experience ever! Went to cash one of their checks and got charged $20.00. The icing on the cake was they would not give me twenty $100 bills. The $100 bills are only for their customers. Guess who will never be a customer! Me! I run a home building business and run millions of dollars through banks, M&T will never be one of them.
