Usually, it 's a pleasant experience or simple uneventful shopping at MOM'S. However, today 1.18.24 @ 12:10 PM I experience the most disastrous experience any customer could have I was over charged by a $1.15 for a spice, when I asked the cashier to reweigh it she was surprised, but not apologetic. She was taking the next person as I inquired which was premature. I was asking her to reweigh the item. I reluctantly told her I would wait until she was done but she sent me to another cashier that was free. I gladly accepted because I was running late to work. The new cashier reweighed the spice and told me an over charged amount 1.15. She explained that I had to go to returns to get the difference, at this time I didn't notice that she had put EBT on the receipt. ( I paid in CASH and I'm African American). I had kept my receipt in my hand and simply given her the dry vegetable soup spice to weigh . After, a lengthy conversation with the woman at returns she called the mgr, and the cashier then disoriented went back to check the price of the item. I told her the cashier had previously checked the item's price Eventually she told me that she didn't have cash to return the money I was over charged. It took several minutes and my walking up to the front to find the mgr for her to show up aadditional discussion with her and my retrieving my purchase from the return station for her to tell another cashier whom was doubly confused to refund all my money. This cashier kept giving me refund for just spice as the mgr and I both watched. I was in total disbelief that nobody was apologetic about over charging a customer except the person in returns. The mgr was most rude of all. At the end of this fiasco she sarcastically said now everyone has what they want. I told her she was wrong. All I wanted was the items I purchased before being treated rudely, discard and OVER charged. I won't be returning. I suspect over charging is a common occurrence. This may go double for someone who's using an EBT card and maybe a person of Color. The original cashier was also a person of Color and so was the cashier who wrote EBT on the receipt without seeing my original receipt. Notwithstanding, had no bearing whatsoever on my disastrous experience with stereotyping and the internalized racism. This promotes supposedly liberal places like MOMS to hire immigrants over seasoned African Americans and Some people of Color . We know and understand the quiet benign hand of racism deal by liberalism . Be that as it may nobody deserves either poor customer service and to be over charged when purchasing an item at the store.

In the back of MOM's there is a collection of pinball machines with all of them being 50c a play. Absolutely great place

As a former organic farmer who sold to organic markets throughout New York and New Jersey, I found MOM's takes the gold medal for quality, selection, excellent and knowledgeable staff, and fair prices. A staff member originally from Scotland named Carole was as courteous, professional, knowledgeable, and a pleasant person you could ask for. Great job Carol!

The customer service from today was awful. The cashier lady was very rude and angry, she was throwing my groceries as she was scanning them and when we thanked her she left and did not answer. She looked like she hated her job, customer service needs to be kind and respectful even more when we as customers are being kind to them. Thank you!

I'm really happy with all the organic and vegan brands and options available here. I've found great clothing items by Pact and Known Supply, as well as delicious Beyond meat products, Just Egg (frozen breakfast sandwiches), Earths Delight butter, vegan cheeses, and Oatly oatmilk. Best selection of produce in the area, especially apple varieties (my favorites are Sweet Tango and Ambrosia). The filtered water (alkaline or reverse osmosis) is a very good value. Friendly, helpful staff and clean and welcoming store.

Love this store and wish we had some in my local area. My favorite parts of the store are the prepared foods. They offer a wide range of grab and go including from local vegetarian favorite The Vegetable Garden.Really nice assortment of fresh vegetables, breads, cheese, frozen foods, etc. I really however enjoy their cafe. The prices are very reasonable and you get a lot of food. Don't miss out on the muffins for 99¢. Staff is very nice and helpful.

The customer service at this location is comically awful. No one smiles, no one greets you, and (most of) the checkout associates seem like they’re inconvenienced by your presence. One of them grabbed an item out of my hand before I could put it on the conveyor belt then didn’t say a word when she handed me my receipt. Throwing on a few stars for the store itself. Produce selection is limited but always fresh, and their beer section is pretty solid for a small store.

Good selection of everything. Naturally there are healthy options to pick from no need to search high and low for quality products. Their sales are good and prices reasonable for 100% organic. Would like some idle signs but overall easy to find what you need

My go-to place for great food. Expensive, but worth the top-quality. The restaurant, "Naked Lunch," is one of the best places to eat in Rockville. Try the Greek Potatos! The only detraction is that there's no real seating, only a small counter in a noisy environment behind the cash registers. They used to have a back room for patrons, but it has been closed for a few years. There are a few outdoor tables that serve the shopping center, and that is nice when they're available.

I was at moms today and I will not return after I saw something that I saw as very unfair. There was an altercation in the parking lot..went in to shop and saw that a woman and her husband were told to leave after that altercation. Maybe all parties involved should have been told to leave. This is discrimination.

This is my favorite grocery store on the east coast. The organic produce is always fresh and they try to locally source as much as possible. The staff are friendly. None of the products market to children. You can recycle your batteries, Christmas lights, denim, and more at Mom’s. The deli is my favorite because every week the kitchen staff creates something new and delicious. Mom’s should write a cookbook with all their deli recipes and sell their salad dressings in the store. I’ve been shopping here for three years and it seems like the staff are always happy and genuinely content to be employed at Mom’s. The staff are very knowledgeable especially in the vitamin and makeup departments. In most grocery stores, I skip the middle aisles—I avoid them completely because they have too much over-processed foods and toxic chemicals, but not Mom’s. Mom’s doesn’t allow hundreds of unhealthy ingredients, chemicals or overly packaged items to stock their shelves. Their bulk foods section is tidy, well-stocked, and clean. If you’re looking for spicy Cheetos flavored Mac-N-Cheese or marshmallow fruity pebble cereal or buffalo wild wing queso dip then this is not your store.

Customer service is extremely terrible. many of the cashiers never smile or simply ask you how your day is going. I literally said hello to a cashier, and she didn't even say hi back and didn't smile. I was almost in shock. The people who work in the kitchen are also extremely rude and many of them never smile. They lack manners and hospitality. I am amazed at how poorly they treat customers. a very bad energy in the store, never a friendly greeting from anyone. I will never return.

I absolutely cannot say enough about how much I love this place, and all of their locations, and all of their staff which are one of the most helpful people in customer service. This gem is like an Erewhon in the DMV!
