The owner did a perfect job stretching out the heels of my new(ish) Timberlands. They went from killing my feet (this pair has been particularly rough to break in) to fitting like a glove. The customer in line before me also picked up a pair of stilettos that he presumably repaired and I heard her say “wow, they look like they’re new!” so clearly, his skills cover many shoe types and requests. Very happy. Thanks again!

What wonderful people and service! My child broke my LV wallet zipper and I sent my assistant over. The gentleman simply took the wallet, used a tool and it was magically fixed! He did not even want a penny. I am so pleased to know kind, nice people still exist.

I needed rubber soles put on a pair of shoes for an event tonight. While I could have ordered the soles from Amazon for $6.99, which I've done before with great results, the delivery would take two days. I decided to visit this shoe repair shop for a quicker solution.
I clearly explained what I wanted. After asking how much I liked the shoes, the repairman quoted me $70. I was shocked, as the shoes only cost me $30 a few years ago, and they're still in great condition. I just needed non-slip soles.
The explanation he provided for the high cost was lengthy and unconvincing. It was clear to me that I was being unfairly overcharged. It's disheartening to experience. Very disappointing!

Took my shoe for a clean and came back with off color stains and absolutely nothing done on the bottom of the shoe. I should have just put it in my washing machine instead of paying for the same results

I had a really tricky repair job on some new boots that were coming unstitched (on iridescent patent leather no less). I am so happy with the job that was done to not only fix the stitching, but reinforce them so they won’t come apart again. You would never even know they were repaired, they look so good!

I called Hara to see how much it would cost to put a Rubber tip on the end of my heel that fell off. I was quoted $10-$15 for both shoes. A few weeks later, I called again before taking them in and now he says $20 and up just to put a rubber tip on the end of my heal.. imagine if I asked him to buff out the scratches and fix the worn areas I'd be paying more than the shoe was originally worth. Overpriced!

BEST IN THE DC AREAIt was either drive an hour or fly to Spain (repairs are normal in Europe) to have the best repair work I needed for expensive Italian shoes. Driving there to see Mr. Guayta was worth it.⭐️He repaired husband’s Italian shoes⭐️he repaired my leather belt I’ve had for many years⭐️he repaired Crocs , yea he repaired Crocs⭐️he repaired my leather travel bag that Coach didn’t want to repair and other repair places did a poor jobI’m a big fan of minimalism, slow fashion and supporting local and small businesses.
