They never answer their phone. I have never been able to get through. Extremely frustrating.

If you are dealing directly with a doctor and some social workers this might work for you. In-take folks are lovely - and after that - quality diminishes severely. If you ever have to reach a nurse or have an actually challenge that does not include slapping on a fentanyl patch - this may not be for you. If you are told they have help for you and "we've got you" and then find out you're supposed to "start begging" if you need an in-home volunteer for two hours - and you're okay with that - them JSSA is for you. If you want to reach the after-hours phone service in the middle of the day and wonder if anyone will ever call you back - JSSA is for you. Please consider other options before committing to working with this organization. It is very hit or miss with staff and experience.

JSSA Montgomery County job development and job coaching services stink. They are terrible from the top down. The personnel are ineffective, usually do not return telephone calls, and do not care about their clients. I recommend that you run the other way!!

Weeks after I had left two messages for a call back, I finally heard back from someone. She sounded barely literate and simply kept repeating in a rote fashion (no matter what I was asking) that they had "no openings." I eventually said thanks for nothing and hung up. Horrendous place.

JSSA is helping us with our son. Teaching him how to deal with real world issues. If your child is special needs and is trying to go out into the world, they can help.

JSSA's adoption services are not trustworthy. Specifically for adult adoptees seeking information or help about or searching for their birth parents, they go out of their way to obstruct your search. They say they will conduct a search for you, for a hefty fee, but the truth is they are social workers (so they say) and not investigators and know nothing about searching. And if you find your own investigator, they will not cooperate in any way. When I went to DC court to get my court records and original birth certificate, JSSA actively and cruelly fought to to prevent any change to the status quo. They didn't even have to do it. They had no actual investment or legitimate reason to fight. They did it because they are stuck in the 1950s. They give Jews a bad name.

Amazing and wonderful humans helping humans. Affordable, sliding scale assistance for anyone seeking community and help. Kind and caring staff, wonderful ethic, and truly amazing people. Tikkun Olam: Repairing the World. A wonderful ethos for and from brilliant and compassionate organizations. Physician, heal thyself. JSSA helps people with compassion for all hurting souls. Toda Rabah.

Every step with JSSA Hospice from interview with nurse, to admission, to Dolly the Nurse, Annette the SW, the phone staff, the on call people. Everyone was caring, knowledgeable and were with us through the entire 3+ weeks Dad was on hospice care. I highly recommend this agency for your hospice needs. What professionals, with care and understanding.

The intake staff is terrible. She expects the person receiving treatment to make the appointment when the person has a disability (executive functions) and also does not have the time considering that the person works odd/long hours. Also, do not expect to get help/treatment until 1+ month in advance for new patients.

JSSA HOSPICE TEAM is wonderful. Call hospice as soon as your loved one is diagnosed with a condition that leaves them less than 6 months. JSSA staff came to our home to help us care for our Mother who had been diagnosed with metastasized lung cancer. Nurse, chaplain, social worker, and healthcare aid all came to the house. They provided much appreciated equipment: hospital bed, transport chair, commode, oxygen, comfort meds, bathing & oral care supplies. Finally, we had the tools and support to make Mother comfortable and allow her to die at home as she wished. Nurse Addi was there with us at the end, supportive, compassionate, and practical.

They're fullfilling so many community needs & you don't have to be Jewish to utilize their services. They accept my insurance. I've had nothing but positive experiences here and am so grateful.

Lisa Prickett is very professional, compassionate and is truly interested in the welfare and mental health of her patients. She has been extremely flexible with my appointments to accommodate my work hours and never minds a last minute time change if it is at all possible with her busy schedule. I hold her expertise in the highest regard and thus strongly recommend her as a therapist.
