I think most of the negative reviews here are for HSBC, which Citizens acquired. I've also had less than stellar experiences with HSBC and can relate to those reviews. I'm surprised that Citizens inherited all the reviews from HSBC because the HSBC reviews are no longer relevant. I went into the branch today and had an excellent experience. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

This location is unprofessional. It feels like I’m banking with cashiers at a grocery store. The agent Kristi , unprofessional asks me if I’m into men or women and to hang out . It felt like extremely uncomfortable. He told me if I wanted to hang out to call the location “ Hint” recorded calls.. then if I had knew that the system had problems I could’ve just ordered a new debit card on the phone. The teller seemed like she was scared to speak to me. Yea I’m only coming back when this black girl is there she’s very friendly however no one else. Ohhh I reported him to the customer service but I would like a call from the manager

Coming here to cash two checks reminded me why I left this bank years ago. It took them about 15 minutes to process one check, just to tell me they couldn’t process the second, and that they can’t cash a check over 1,000. This might as well be a piggy bank including the financial knowledge of a 6 yr old. I’ll pass.

By far the least professional, least helpful, and least knowledgeable bank customer service I have ever encountered. Both the branch and online banking customer service. Branch manager rushed and pushed me to contact online banking because he already ‘spent 22 minutes’ on the phone helping me. I then had to spend nearly 2 hours on the line with online banking who told me to walk into the branch because their ‘system’ didn’t work. Suspect it is their management and customer service staff, not the ‘system’, that need some serious training.

I paid $4 to park. I had a $7 fee to cash a check drawn on their bank by their member who owed me the money. I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO HAVE A FEE TAKEN OUT OF WHAT WAS OWED TO ME. I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO USE MY BANK TO CASH IT EITHER. THIS IS ROBBERY FROM THE BANKS AND ITS A FEE THEIR CUSTOMERS PAY TO HAVE THE ACCOUNT SO WHY CHARGE ME TO HONOR YOUR CHECK? THEY DID NOT WANT TO REMOVE IT KNOWING IT WAS FOR WORK COMPLETED!VERY SAD AND I WOULD NEVER OPEN AN ACCOUNT AND HAVE YOU CHARGE PEOPLE I WRITTEN CHECKS TO FOR PAYMENT!SHAME, and VIOLATION OF CONSUMER RIGHTS.ONE STAR IS TOO GOOD FOR THIS BANK AND MANAGER.

Headache after headache, if you’re reading this and searching for a good area bank, skip HSBC. They are the “world’s leading (not local!) bank” along with a world of red tape and policy to match

STAY AWAY FROM HSBC all together.It doesn’t even deserve one star.Horrible customer service, disgusting attitude of supervisors who aren’t willing to listen n help && with the current situation in Hong Kong I’d close up all my accounts n consider the credit unions.Better do it sooner then be sorry later on.
