Mohammed taught me a lot about my old house during the energy review. He also discovered there was old vermiculite asbestos insulation in my attic (that had not been noticed in my earlier inspection). His crew later on insulated our attic and did an excellent job. Would def. recommend.

Mohammed was a pleasure to work with. He did an extremely thorough review of our house and did a great job explaining it in terms that made sense to us. He was transparent on pricing and made recommendations based on what would make the biggest difference. The work was fast and professional and reasonably. The final result improved our air exchange rate by a full 36%!

These people are literally my favorite right now. My husband and I bought a house that hadnt gotten new attic insulation since the 1970s. Needless to say, the last several (hot summer) weeks have been miserable. After having an energy audit completed by HESS, we received a very fair quote for all of the work that needed to be completed. We did have to wait about a month for the next appointment to get the work done, but it was totally worth it. The men who completed the job yesterday were professional and friendly. The house is already so much more comfortable than before. Thank you, HESS!

I am so happy we did this project. We bought our home 1.5 years ago, and the summer upstairs last year was unbearable. We knew we needed to do something, but weren't sure where to start. Someone suggested to get an energy audit done. Home Energy Solutions came out, conducted the audit, and provided us with a plan of improving the comfort in our home, while saving on energy costs. The team came out yesterday and were very professional and courteous. They did all kinds of work in our attic that had insufficient insulation as well as an air duct that vented into the attic. Kind of scary that we were breathing in attic air. The work was completed in about 6 hours and they cleaned up after themselves. We noticed an immediate improvement. The temperature upstairs has dropped and we are now comfortable. I cannot recommend Mohammed and his team enough!

Great service! It was done in less than an hour and Mohammed encouraged me to follow along with him as he pointed out areas to increase energy efficiency. It was really helpful for understanding the results of the report. He also did a great job explaining how the BGE rebates work.

Excellent business. We had them out for an energy audit after having pipes in our house burst. We ended up getting insulation in the problem area addressed and also sealed the attic and encapsulated the basement. The price is very reasonable with rebates from the electrical company and federal rebates program for home efficiency improvements. great service, prices, communication, and workmanship.

Let me start by saying that HESS is an amazing company and Mohammed is wonderful example of a real customer-oriented business should look like. He was very professional, competent, approachable, responsive, genuinely caring, extremely knowledgable and ready to do anything in his power to do the project to customer's full satisfaction. I bought my very first house three years ago - it was build in mid 50th and even though it passed the home inspection it was painfully obvious that there is work and money investment that need to done both in the attic and in the crawl space - the house was incredibly drafty and it took a lot of HVAC's effort and energy to heat it up in winter and cool it down in summer. I got some estimates for insulation of both areas but the pricey were so exuberant that I put those project on a back burner. Until my friend told me about Mohammed and his company - they performed weatherization of her house and she was very happy. So I decided to give it a try. And I was more than satisfied! The whole process couldn't be any smoother. From the start when Mohammed performed the audit of the house, explained to me in details what the issues were and how to fix them, to bringing the crew of amazing workers who finished the job practically in half a day (working simultaneously in the attic and the crawl space) leaving the house spotless. And most importantly, my house feels absolutely amazing now! The temperature fluctuations between day and night that I experienced before have disappeared and the house remains pretty much at the same temperature all the time, without using heating/cooling during the months of May and June. Pretty amazing! And all of this work, with the help of Maryland programs (and HESS took care of all that paperwork!), cost me fraction of the money that original estimates asked for. I would absolutely and wholeheartedly recommend Mohammed and HESS to anyone who wants their house to feel good and comfortable and who wants to do it with a company that puts their customer satisfaction as their number one priority!

Mo came out to do an audit for our 100 year old row house. He was thorough and took the time to explain all suggested improvements and expected impact/ROI. I had some follow-up questions and he graciously jumped on the phone twice to walk through all of my questions. Highly recommend!

Mohammed is an exceptionally knowledgeable man about home energy issues and won’t suggest something for your home that’s not needed. Since getting the work he recommended done, we have noticed a definite improvement in our house’s comfort level. It’s not as drafty in these past few months compared to a year ago.He is also very responsive to follow up questions. We needed a copy of the receipts of work done to our house, months after the work was done, and he emailed back the receipts within a day. Amazing!This company too as a whole is very professional and organized. They made the process easy from start to finish. They took care of all the necessary paperwork to get a substantial (75%) rebate from Pepco. We only had to pay the difference up front. We didn’t have to pay the full amount and then wait for a check from Pepco in other words.If you think your house could benefit from more insulation and would like a consultation in this regard call this company (and be sure to ask for Mohammed if possible!). You will have to pay about $100 up front (and then any insulation costs after) but it’s worth it. Again they take care of all the paperwork so you don’t have to. The final out of pocket cost was quite reasonable.
