I love this place. This place has all your needs for djing and other stuff. I was looking to update my dj equipment. Jessie was cool and helped me with my choices. I love how this places allows you to play on their equipment. Although some customers should be banned from playing the piano cuz my ears were burning from the non sense. They price match, they well buy back equipment if it's in demand. Definitely coming back.

The sales guy Rio was incredibly helpful in explaining the different grades of guitar. I eventually purchased a Taylor GS Mini.

Huge selection, nice staff. Still waiting on a call about our repair but seems like a good place to check out instruments.

I had a slight snag with an order and the store manager went above and beyond to close the gap and get me taken care of. Its not common these days, but you wouldnt know it from this store. I order often from GC and when I have issue its great to get service like this. Top Notch.

I had a fantastic experience at Guitar Center. It's consistently the go-to place for a wide variety of instruments. The staff members were not only humble but also incredibly helpful, making the shopping experience enjoyable. What sets Guitar Center apart is its versatility when it comes to instruments. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned musician, you'll find what you need. The kids in my family had a blast exploring the instruments, which can be quite inspiring for young talents. The store is well-equipped with professional-grade instruments, catering to the needs of musicians at every level. I appreciate the fact that Guitar Center takes musicianship seriously, offering high-quality gear and equipment. Overall, it's a top-notch destination for anyone passionate about music.

I thought putting in an order online for pick up would speed things up but that's not always the case. They always give an impression that they ignore pick up orders. They ask you to come in if you want it faster. Nowadays, reason you go to a store is you can't wait for Amazon. Forget about putting in an online order. If you don't call them, you probably won't see an update until who knows when!

Horrible customer service. There aren't many customers there ever yet, the staff are lazy, not observant and do not know the difference between a customer that knows what they want for quick checkout versus a potential customer that needs more time and explanations. This is right under the 10th time of the same lack of service and I will never visit this particular location in Rockville ever again. I immediately ordered from SWEETWATER. Fuggetaboutit. Thumbs down. Loss of sale.

I had a drum kit that I bought from Guitar Center a while ago. I needed to sell it and called them on the phone from Rockville location. The guy on the phone told me that they are open till 9 pm and I can bring the gear to the store. I drove for 45 mins and arrived to Guitar Center, waited 40 minutes on the line and when it was my turn finally, the salesperson told me that he cannot take care of my situation in that second, I needed to come back again as they are short handed. I told him that I called them before I come but he told me things changed since then. Omg! What kind of behavior is that? It was very rude and I really did not enjoy what they did. This is not the type of behavior you would like to see when you arrive. I think they assume everybody has a lot of free time as they have and chase Guitar Center to get their needs.

Asking for a friend- does this place sell/market lefty guitars? I haven’t been in 4 years or so but remember seeing one sole lefty Ibanez on the wall during my last visit. Would love to try out some amps and guitars here, just want to know if they take care of Jimi’s kind.

This Guitar Center is better than most, they have quite a few higher end guitars and there are actually people working there that can help.

tl;dr: Extremely sus repair jobI took my bass in for repair and received a call from the technician that my instrument was ready to go. When I paid and picked it up two days later, I didn't even think to test it with an amp in the store because I trusted that it had been adequately repaired. When I got it home (about a 45 minute drive), I realized it was still broken and not outputting any signal.I called to complain and the technician seemed surprised and said that he'd tested it to make sure it was working. Keep this statement in mind.I had initially intended to take it back to GC, but I was loathe to make the drive again, so I took it to Victor Litz in Gaithersburg instead. The Victor Litz technician actually properly fixed my bass and told me that GC had soldered the wires in reverse. Recall earlier that the GC tech said he'd tested it. Interesting. The bass was never going to work with the wiring in that state. This wasn't my first negative repair experience at this GC location, but it will certainly be my last.

Great place that has served my instrumental needs for a couple decades now. It would, however, be even better if it took digital cards such as Apple Pay :)

Great place and even greater service. I'm a musician and vocalist and whenever I come in the service at this store in Rockville is thorough and great. Everyone here is so friendly and takes the time to explain all the things you need to know. Really grateful for *Brian C.* He's the person I usually go to for help and is really professional, pleasant and patient. I appreciate that so much. He also plays piano excellently and sings amazingly. Thanks to all the employees and a special shoutout to the "Pro Audio" department!

I'm thinking about how writing this review is probably a waste of time, but not nearly as much of a waste of time of going in store. I had a horrible experience the previous time I came to this store, but chalked it up to a bad day and moved on. Here we are again with confirmation that this is one of the worst music stores to attempt to spend money at.Do not come here, you will waste your time and leave empty handed or upsold. I spent about half an hour waiting around in this store with no crowd waiting for someone to help me, so much so that people came up to ME and asked me to help them when I needed it as much as they did. I passed one sales rep at the counter aggressively trying to sell a protection plan to a customer who was expressedly not interested yet he was relentless, how is that good customer service? The only other person working there I then saw plainly mislead a customer about the best prices for guitar hardcases. It's bad enough being here, don't make it an even worse experience. While waiting aimlessly to buy some strings I absolutely needed today, I looked online and saw that I could overnight them and for a better price. I took that option to my disadvantage, ordered it right there at the counter despite really needing them in hand today. Guitar Center once again quashes my desire to shop "local".For anyone reading this: please shop local at the great guitar stores in the area, just not this one. Last time I walked out from here I drove well out of my way to spend $550 on a guitar at Victor Litz and it was the best decision I made that day. This place plain sucks.
