AVOID GILI'S!!! I used this shop for a pre-purchase state inspection and they failed to notice that the entire parking brake assembly was missing. The e-brake inspection is a two part test, so obviously they cut corners, did not perform either test, and passed it anyways. They also did a faulty repair on the power steering lines which now fails inspection. I am left paying $3,000 additional to fix these issues. Tell your friends this place is not trustworthy.

I got a MD inspection there and they tried to charge me $3400 to replace two brake drums and a right caliper, when each of those parts are roughly $100... Overly priced. The only mechanics that makes you use there parts instead of bringn your own. most expensive mechanics in Rockville.

Before you come here , Look at the experience i had below This is not the right place to fix your car , They are unprofessional, They will charge you for nothing ! Here is what happened I contacted GIli a week ago , and I told them that i have trailer hitch needs to be installed in my Vehicle , They got me an appointment as of today ! I came here at 8:45 AM , they got my vehicle and after 30 mins they told me the price is $144 for the installation , I agreed , I have waited for 3 hours and few mins , then They said the Trailer Hitch is not the right size ! So They will not be able to install it , I meane what !! After 3 hours waiting you till me that is not the right size !! That is awesome, Wait , I am not finished, Look what happened next , I said ok , Let me pick up my car ! They said they are charging me half the price for the the technician or They will not give the Vehicle !!! What ! why !! His time is more important than my time!! sure why not !!! The unprofessional who was sitting on the front desk and he calls himself a manager was very rude, ! And He said the customers are never right! When i was sitting on the waiting area in the morning I heard a customer was disappointed because of their work ! I didn't believe the customer and I said I am sure the customer was wrong, but after what happened to me ! I completely understand this place is unprofessional! So I am asking the owners of this place ! Once he sees my review please contact me ! I have a lot to tell about that rude manager ! I don't care about the money I paid , But i care about how that manager treated me ! Really unprofessional

These 5 star reviews are not fake! Gili's has been our go-to for more than 15 years. Car repairs can be pricey - no doubt - but Gili's is fair, they are honest and - this is key for me - they never talk down to me (as you know, so so common for women in this sort of place) or talk over my head. Their location is fantastic, they alway deliver on time.

When I moved to the DMV. I was super worried about finding a trusty mechanic, but Gilis really blew my expectations out of the water. It being a short walk to metro made it easy for me to drop my car off in the morning and pick it up after work. I never feel like I'm getting worked on price. I've actually been surprised with how affordable it's been.

I needed to have installed a front receiver trailer hitch I had purchased on my 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I called at least 10 different places trying to find one that could do the job. I called several Jeep dealers, auto service and body repair shops, SUV speciality truck shops, steel fabricators, and all the major hitch manufacturers. The last place I called was Gili's. I spoke with Mike and he said to stop by and he would take a look at it. I went there immediately and Mike looked at the hitch I had purchased and said they could do the job and to come back in the morning. I returned the next morning and was fairly certain that once they looked at the assignment in greater detail that I would strike out once again. I met with Gil the shop owner and he lifted my SUV and showed me what needed to be done. He said it was not a big deal and that he could have it ready in a couple of hours. I waited patiently and a couple of hours later the front hitch was installed and looked great. Both Gil and Mike were fantastic. In my opinion, all the other places I had contacted simply wanted "cookie cutter" installs and any job that might have required a little extra work they weren't interested in. Gil came to the rescue and did a great job. He said it would be easy and he delivered. I asked Gil if I gave him an optional replacement front grill I had if he could also install it for me. He said sure and I returned a couple of days later with the part. He removed the front bumper and changed the optional grill. I waited once again and about an hour later it was completed. It looks great and I couldn't be happier. If you want to find an auto repair/service shop that really cares about customer satisfaction then look no further. This place is awesome. They go the extra mile to please. Gil even took a ride with me in my SUV and showed me how to use several of the features of my SUV which I had no idea even existed. Their pricing was both fair and reasonable and I would return without hesitation. If I could give them 10 stars I would. Thanks guys you rock!!!!

I had a bad experience with Gili's automotive at 12410 Washington Avenue in Rockville Maryland 20852....The owner Mr. Gil is very nasty. He has a problem with customer service. He hung up the phone on me. I had fraudulent activity on my card, so I had to get a replacement. Mr. Gil is suppose to refund my money, and says he needs the physical card to give my money back, and the payment was taken over the phone. He got two thousand dollars out of me for repairs that his tech claimed needed to be done in order to pass Maryland inspection. The cost had got up to 5,247.88 there a few unprofessional people in this shop that was laughing and talking a lot of trash because I had an older vehicle. I'm not as dumb as they think I am. I can fix the vehicle myself, but it's a little too cold outside, so I thought I could just get someone else to fix whatever needs to be done to pass the Maryland inspection. The prices are all marked up. I don't know how many people they've ripped off, but someone needs to check this place out. This place should not be in business with the behavior and evil activity being done behind the scenes. This is unacceptable, people think they can just take your money, and treat you any kind of way, but not so! They have messed with the right person. I will not do anything else with this shop. I will take my business elsewhere.

I went there to safety inspection for my car. They give me a bill to fix problems on car like 2k dollars. . The car has brand new tires, brakes, all lights work. The car has just passed va inspection. But i need to register maryland . Probably i will not register. The prizes are ridiculous expensive. Find somewhere else thats for sure.

Two different accidents (one inattentive driver; one suicidal deer) Gili's body shop gave me back a new vehicle each time. They were amazing in helping negotiate the insurance companies and got new body parts despite my insurance company wanting seconds. Also, excellent with routine maintenance and major mechanical repairs....trust worthy, courteous, and communicative. Use them.

I needed a Md state inspection and was able to schedule an appointment. The entire staff was friendly and courteous, they estimated 1.5 hrs but were done in 1hr! I was very pleased with their work and will definitely use them again for my automotive needs.
