If you are applying for an assistant teachers position it's not the place to work. The lead teachers are treated much better than the assistant teachers. The management treats the assistant teachers very badly. You are left alone with 7 to 10 children to attend to. The management does not involve the assistant teachers for anything. The lead teachers are teaching there for over 15 /20 years so, it's like they own the place and are never questioned as to what ever they do. It is always the assistant teachers fault. It is really a very stressful place to work at.

My daughter is knew to Franklin and is adjusting well in the primary classroom. I was nervous having her in a classroom with 10+ students since her previous Montessori school was smaller. Overall I'm happy with the decision. She takes forever to leave the classroom, but is rambling about her day while driving home. The morning and after school carpool is a gem. I appreciate the organizational process and most importantly patience from the staff. The entire staff have been wonderful. They seem happy to come to work and the students appear happy to attend. The upkeep of the school is well maintained. The practical materials in the students classroom are stimulating. We're going on 2 months at Franklin and I hope to continue posting a positive review for the following school year.

After a not so great experience at an in home daycare we could not be more pleased with our experience at Franklin. The teachers passion for what they do and love for the kids is apparent. Being able to go to work and not worry is PRICELESS!

Our kids (2.5 yo and 4 yo) are both at Franklin, and we love it. All of the teachers are wonderful and caring, and the kids spend a good deal of time outdoors in addition to the Montessori work. They also have a lot of available extracurriculars for kids who are in extended-day (soccer, yoga, dance), which I like because I prefer them to try out these things during the week so that I can spend time with them on the weekend rather than hustling them to activities. We have been very happy, and I highly recommend it.

Both my children attended Franklin. It is a wonderful school that has amazing staff and a great academic program. If you want to see your child be better prepared for elementary school this is the place for you. My son is thriving in elementary school and is ahead of his classmates in reading comprehension and writing, all due to attending Franklin through kindergarten an achieving great success there. We love Franklin and always go back to visit the teachers that both my children had while attending.

On the plus side, the grounds are pretty. However, for a 'school', I haven't been impressed by the academics. They say 'child led', but that is within very strict guidelines of acceptable 'work' that is based on averages of an age. Attempts by the child to mix 'work' is unnacceptable. They do not encourage individuals to move to their own potential, but stay with the pack. I found out my Montessori had tried basically the same thing with me when I was little. Luckily for me I'd been at home before preschool so my parents knew better. If your child is bright, keep that in mind. This school will NOT challenge them. It certaintly hasn't challenged mine anyway. Additionally, planning communication is lacking, for example disallowing valentines (any card) the friday before the holiday after many/most families will already have made/purchased them. Lastly, my child has had a lot of turnover in the early childhood class. We are looking at other schools. If my child isn't going to be challenged and be subject to arbitrary grinchiness, I can at least spend less money.
