Wonton soup with shrimp wontons.Delicious. Mapo was very good.Roast pork was very good.Parking: Sunday evening was madness in the lot and restaurant was packed too.

One of my 2 favorite Chinese restaurants of all time. They have a lot of authentic Chinese food and a lot of Chinese patrons (so you know it's good). My favorite dish is the honey shrimp with walnuts (large panko shrimp in a sweet, creamy sauce ?). I also love the roast duck, pork, and soyed chicken. DEFINITELY try this place if you haven't yet.

The extensive menu here at East Pearl stands out and can satisfy any persons cravings easily. Located at a busy shopping strip with top notch foodie choices next door, it has plenty of reasons to compete. The parking is always full but luckily plentiful and always a spot available with surrounding shops and restaurants on both sides. The roasted meats are really a highlight and are displayed by the kitchen area in an enclosed window that always deserves a peek! The roast duck is especially recommended, it has a very savory flavor that reminds me of some of the best I've tasted so far, in the area. East Pearl Restaurant deserves a visit!

I wouldn't reccommend coming here to get your Chinese food fix in the Rockville area. There's plenty of other places nearby (Bob's Shanghai, etc.) that are better in my opinion. I don't have many good things to say other than the food came out quickly. Food: 1. We ordered: - half soy chicken. It was bland and the soy sauce did not help. - squid with sour cabbage. The entree itself was tasty but they cut the pieces of squid so big that it can become a choking hazard. - pan fry noodles with seafood. The sauce was too salty and lacked any flavors. They are cheap with the seafood too. 2. Service: Even though we were seated promptly; it took a good 15 minutes before anyone came around to take our order. I had to flag down the wait staff several times for help. Once our entrees came out; we were missing rice for our dishes. I had to flag a waitress and ask her for the rice. She was quite rude because her response was to tell yell ok!!!!! in my face. FYI-- if you don't finish your food and request for the leftovers to go; they will charge you $0.50 per box plus the $0.05 bag fee.

The Worst experience EVER!! I ordered Shredded beef in Garlic Sauce and I literally Got 10 small pieces of beef and a bunch of Celery and carrots… the food was not seasoned and no salt… NEVER ORDERING HERE AGAIN!!!!! To expensive

Food is authentic Cantonese. Portions are soooo small now. Service is meh. Gets busy and the parking sucks majorly!!! 2.5 stars.

BE PATIENT if you come to this restaurant in a weekend! The parking lot is packed, and the inside is crowded. The taste is authentic and good, but the materials can be of better quality. Because of too busy, servers are always on the move, so don't expect attentive service. Overall, we enjoyed the lunch on a Sunday. If you like real Chinese taste, you may like this place. Try it! Likely, we will be back again.

Just bought their Hong Kong style chicken. Was so good. The meat was well marinated and juicy. Their ginger dipping sauce was also amazing. The prices for their food are reasonable. There were a lot of options for different kinds of dishes. I will try more next time I come here.

We waited around 15-20 minutes to get a table. The waiters promised us a table as soon as they get one open. There were many tables open at that time, but they never gave us one. There one one table left that they promised to give us, but the waitress gave another customer that table who have been waiting for 20 seconds. It also appears that customer was American. I believe that the waitress just gave the customer the table because she was American and I am Chinese. Come here if you want to waste 1 hour.

Ordered roasted duck. They brought the back of the duck which was just bones and skin, no meat. Other dishes we ordered were very starchy and didn't taste good. 3 out of 4 glasses they brought for the water were not clean.

Came here on a Sunday Night for some dinner. Ordered the fried pork chops, seafood pan fried noodles and the Beef Chow Foon. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time. All the food was definitely fresh and the texture of all the different foods was good however I found the food was under seasoned. If the food was seasoned a little more I would not hesitate to change the rating to a 5 star.

Ordered through delivery service. I have to disagree with everyone who says food is delicious. The taste of burned overused oil is undeniable. Egg rolls, spring rolls terrible taste. General Tso chicken, again burnt oil taste. I generally eat very clean, so my palate is sensitive to poor quality food. The LoMein was decent. The pork was rubbery.

Can get busy and would be great if they expanded to an area where there was more parking. Parking can be a challenge but the food is great!
