Total professionals. Prompt apointment availability, timely arrivial, confirmation and en route calls, truck stocked with heavy duty tools. Well trained, solidly experienced journeyman plumber. Provided high-resolution, color camera inspection of my cast iron sewer line all the way to the main. Exceeded expectations. Bryant was personable, proficent, and professional. I would certainly use them again!

I was scheduled on 1/24/24 with a window from 12-5pm. I received a phone call at 10:50am (i’m at work) and it was a lady on the phone asking if the technician could come earlier like 11:30am-12:00pm. My job is 7 minutes away from my house so I said yes that’s fine. At 11:02am (mind you i’m still at work), I received a ring on my call box that’s at the entrance of the building. I answered from my phone & I told Bernard, I was expecting him to be there at 11:30am-12pm but you are here 28 minutes early and I am at work. I can be there in the next 10 minutes (I still had to tell my boss I was taking my lunch break earlier than expected). I still let him in the building because it was cold outside and I didn’t want the guy standing out there. At 11:11am, I receive a phone call from the technician Bernard (9 minutes later) and he mentioned to me that he would wait inside his truck until I arrived. I told him no need for that, I will be arriving in the next 30 seconds. 30 seconds later, here I am parking and I wave at him through the window to let him know it’s me. I park, we great each other & head inside, it’s about 11:15am now. Bernard checked both of my mini splits, he let me know that the filters were dirty & that’s probably why I wasn’t getting any heat. The motor was going bad in living room mini split but don’t worry about replacing until it fully goes out. He also mentioned that I had the heat on the wrong setting in my bedroom which is also why the heat wasn’t working but overall my mini splits are fine for the moment. I would need a new motor in the future. He will also said he would send me an estimate for the motor to my email once he got the pricing & other information together. He cleaned the filters, put them back. Messed up my wall with his dirty fingers in the process of all this which I had him cleaning my wall with a cloth. It’s now 12:10pm (55 minutes since he stepped inside my place; he was packed up, ready to go & asking for the payment. The pricing is $125 for first 30 minutes & $45 every 15 minutes moving forward. Therefore my total should’ve been $215.95. Why did this man say I owed him $270 because his time starts once he arrives and he was outside waiting for me when he got here.Let’s not forget that he arrived at my house earlier than the timing that I was told (which is not my problem). He told me he needed to call his supervisor because I informed him that I am only paying him what the price is which is $215 not $270 because he decided to come earlier. I gave him $220 because I didn’t have change to make $215 and I headed back to work.Literally the same day, the digital portion on my mini split is no longer lighting up. I am assuming he did not wire it back correctly after taking it apart. The mini split in my living room, a piece is missing. It was not missing before he came to check unit out. It’s now been three days and I still haven’t received an estimate for the motor. I called CroppMetcalfe on 1/27 to complain and discuss the issues with the service just three days prior. I spoke with Lashawn, which she refused to give me her last name because “I don’t give my last name out”. She also informed me that he wanted $270 because he was outside waiting for me & I let her know again, that’s not my fault or problem that he arrived earlier than what was communicated. She told me she would send all this information to the team lead and they for sure will call me on Monday 1/29 to follow up about this issue. She also mentioned that he was at my house for an hour & 48 minutes which is a complete lie. With the time of him waiting outside til the time he left (11:02-12:15) that still doesn’t even add up to an hour & 20 minutes. I’m not sure where she got 1 hr 48 minutes from but they are just lying to get my money. WORST COMPANY EVER!!!!!

Terrible customer service! Waited 20 minutes just for them to pick up my call for a repair job. The receptionist would not and could not answer what I thought were basic questions about getting a technician out to my home. I would call any other plumber.

We used this company twice in the last week. The first time they came to fix a drain in the tub. Not a week later, the shower faucet cartridge broke off in the wall. Technician came and had to use a drill to get the cartridge out (all YouTube videos for this say to be incredibly careful to NOT touch the brass valve). Once he replaced the cartridge, technician indicated that there was damage to the valve and then quoted me $1,200 to fix it indicating that I had to purchase not only the value, but a new shower faucet set, too. The valve was clearly damaged during the process of removing the cartridge with a significant amount of metal left in the tub. Connected with a different plumber who quoted a much lower cost to repair and indicated that we could keep our faucet and purchase only a new value.Update: called a local plumber to replace the valve. Confirmed that the valve was damaged by drill and only charged $450 to replace valve.

My go to repair company. We have service contracts with them for our heating, a/c and plumbing. Always easy to work with.

Called from Quantico Virginia around 5pm on a Saturday about an emergency plumbing issue. The switchboard said they could get someone out that evening. Called back at 9Pm and no one was on the way, the switchboard referred me to a tech in Maryland and he said they should have referred me to a tech in Virginia. I knew I wasn't going to get service this late Saturday so I canceled the request and called another service and was given an appointment for Sunday morning. What really upset me was after I canceled service, a customer service representative called and told me, they only do emergency service for customers who have a service agreement with them and then tried to sell me their service. If they would have told me initially they only do emergency service for their customers with service agreements, I might have been able to find a service technician from another company, that could have came that evening instead of wasting my time waiting for a technician that was not coming.

We "inherited" CM, our 25 year old service company was acquired by them around 6 years ago. Cropp is big and can't handle their size. They boast home of the 5-star technician. Not all of them, so not true. In the last 5 days getting through and getting a manager to call back, listen and fix is near impossible. The call center staff are gatekeepers, polite but lack any technical knowledge. They charged us $190.00 for a service evaluation that should have been free as a part of our service plan and 5 calls to reach a manager finally merited a callback at 6:15 last night, no apology, more upselling. Finally (name rhymes with Boran) the manager who promised us a call at 8:00 am today had yet to call (it's 9:45 am). Avoid this company, we started our search for a better company today.

A CroppMetcalfe technician came out to perform a maintenance check on our heating unit and confirmed everything was working perfectly. Two days later, we find out that one of our bedrooms had no heat for guests who came to stay for Xmas. Another technician checked it out the following week and confirmed that a damper was stuck; that it may need to have it replaced; and charged $70 for the visit. We called to inquire why it wasn't caught the week before on the maintenance check. Warren M., a supervisor claimed that their tech could not foresee problems if it wasn't apparent at that time. Said they would credit us if we had CroppMetcalfe fix the damper. He was dismissive and condescending. We asked to speak with another person in charge. Warren stated no one else was available. Taunted that we might get lucky if we tried to call back, then abruptly hung up the phone. It's a SHAME that 'a supervisor' could be so unprofessional and childish towards customers who had a preferred service plan in place. CroppMetalfe may have 5 star technicians, but Warren represents less than 1 star for the company. We would rather pay double elsewhere.

I bought a service agreement a few months ago and they came out and performed it. At the time, it seemed ok. However, today I could not get my new refrigerator installed because their technician did not check the water line valve to my refrigerator which was rusted out. So even though the service agreement said it covered checking all water valve guides, they didn't check this one to alert me. Even worse, when I called them for the priority service I am supposed to get with my service agreement, they did not even answer the phone at 8:30 am on a Saturday morning. The automated voice did not indicate that they were closed, they just left me on hold for a half hour. I called another plumber who has helped in the past, he answered on the second ring, and I have appointment in 2 days. So no, I don't recommend cropp metcalf plumbing

The receptionist ( person who originally answered my call) she was rude unresponsive. I requested same day service but she told me that no one could come out until four days later. I explained that my home is a duplex and I only have 1 bathroom. She said that they couldn't help me. Poor all the way around. I'll never call them again. I did find a highly rated plumber who came the same day and helped resolve my issue.

Had them come out 3 months ago to clean dryer vent and now it's clogged again leading to condensation and water leak from vent. I called them last week to have someone come out and evaluate and was scheduled. Someone from the company called and said that a different person would have to come out and take a look and that they would contact me. 6 days and 4 phone calls later, no one's reached out. Awful service and very unprofessionalService: HVAC duct & vent cleaning

I wish I had read YELP reviews prior to calling CroppeMetcalfe! I used Montgomery County Best Pick Reports and they got a good rating. Big mistake. Way overpriced, house was without heat for over a week and NO sense of urgency or even caring on their part.

Had an appointment scheduled for today between 8 and 12 noon. No call, no show despite multiple email confirmations. Called at 12 noon, told they'll be here in 10 minutes. Here we are 50 minutes later, still no one showed up and I've been on hold for 15 minutes to cancel the appointment. Don't waste my time. Won't use these clowns again.
