I'm a Bonvoy member, and I stay almost exclusively at Marriotts when I travel. This is a standard Courtyard. Same amenities, decor, and service as all of the others. What set this one apart and will keep me coming back was the staff and the suite option. The staff was super friendly. They were patient with my rambunctious children. We stayed over the Christmas weekend, so I'm sure they were working with a skeleton staff. There was no disruption to service, which I've experienced at other hotels over Christmas. We travel to visit family and stay in a hotel since there's not enough room for us to stay with family. I truly appreciate everyone in the service industry who makes it possible for us to visit family during Christmas. They all worked hard even though I am sure they would have rather been at home. There are one-bedroom suites available. They are affordable and perfect for whentraveling with kids. There is a door that separates the bedroom from the rest of the suite. The door locks, which was great for when I met with some clients. My kids love to interrupt me during meetings, so being able to lock a door was invaluable.Rooms: One bedroom suites with doors that lock!

Platinum members - heads up! This hotel does not give you a voucher for breakfast per the Marriott policy to provide a voucher if there is no concierge lounge. Staff looked at me like I was nuts when I asked about it. I travel very frequently and know the Lifetime Platinum policies. Hotel feels outdated. Fitness center is depressing with no windows. Plenty of other Marriotts in the area - will never come back here.

I had a pleasant stay. Customer service was excellent and the room was immaculately clean. Would highly recommend.

The HVAC unit under the window was extremely loud. Also, I could hear every toilet flush and water running from nearby rooms which was annoying at night.

God location near Colonial Williamsburg. Good value. Hot & cold breakfast options. Fruit. Almond milk available too. Cons: I reserved thru Expedia & front desk refused to print out an incidental change page for that reason. But did offer a verbal "no other changes. I realize the Stamp Act has driven up the price of paper; but an email would be nice. Both treadmills work in the small gym. Con: TV didn't work. Dumbbells 10s, 15s, 20s, 30s then gap to 50s. Gym is near a sometimes unlocked exit so weights could be walking off. Other: Sadly coffee machine broke on our 6th & last day. Otherwise my wife & I enjoyed the coffee.Overall. Recommend.Would stay here again. --Steve in Seattle, Wa

I've stayed at this hotel twice. The rooms with the balconies are the best, but even without that, the rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable. The drapes block out light incredibly well. I only had one negative experience with nobody being at the front desk when I was unable to get into my room. Otherwise, services were wonderful. There is only one elevator, which is less than convenient if an elevator is required, but the stairs are fairly quick to get up and down. I will definitely stay at this hotel again.

Service was nice and location is also very nice but the room I got was very meh. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was nice but the walls were very thin and I couldn't get a full night's rest in both nights I stayed. My room also had a balcony window that faced directly to the parking lot/highway so I woke up to sirens/vehicle headlights in the parking lot, etc. Also as others have mentioned, very bizarre elevator location.

This location would receive a 0 star review from me if possible. I tried to alter the dates for my reservation where the assistant general manager appeared to understand and work with me. Emails and the app seemed to show correct. They wound up not adjusting my reservation with late arrival which was the whole point I had reached out. When I showed up I was told they had cancelled my reservation even though my app showed it as still available. As a further insult I was told they were full and none of the staff offered any further assistance. I was polite, walked out, and called customer service. Marriott's national support line confirmed my reservation was still open. A supervisor said he tried to work with the hotel but they wouldn't even work with their own customer service. When I asked for a full refund because it was there mistake, they've flat out refused. Working it through corporate now. This is the first hotel I'll have to say I would never consider staying with again.

The rooms were great. Only problem is that they had only one mirror at the basin and the other was just behind it in the closet which made it inaccessible.

The hotel is in a decent location and not that far from Metro station. The room was ok, but nothing special. The layout was strange mostly because the elevator was only on one side of the hotel. This is important if you have a lot of luggage to haul to your room…especially if you parked on the wrong side of the building. I used the stairs after my first night because it was more convenient based on my room location and also because the elevator reeked of marijuana. Overall, the hotel needs a little TLC.Staff wise, everyone was friendly but there was one moment where there was an awkward laugh after I was out of sight after changing rooms in order to have a bathtub. Maybe the laugh was unrelated but my gut tells me it was not.Service wise, two things bothered me.The first issue was the mobile key. I expected one to issued prior to my arrival and when I noticed it was not I contacted the hotel via the chat feature and was told they would issue it right away. Of course, when I arrived at the hotel an hour after that conversation the key was not issued and I had to go to the front desk where I immediately was asked for my ID. I provided it no questions asked but I knew right then that the hotel had no intention of issuing me a key prior to my arrival because they wanted to see my ID first (even though they said otherwise.) If I had to guess, they probably have had issues with some clientele in the past and asking for ID helps. The second issue was the process to change my room. While they accommodated my request I was told that I needed to return both room keys before being provided keys to the new room. Once again, I obliged (only after getting the new room number with no key) so my wife, child, and luggage didn’t have to all return to the lobby. Of course, after moving everything to the outside of the new room I ultimately was told (after returning to lobby to turn in old keys and get the new keys) that the room I was told I would be moving to was just given to another family that checked in! Ultimately, I was given another room but the whole process was strange and needs to be revamped.Would I stay here again? Probably not because I think there are better options in the area and quite honestly I think I’d stay in a different city when I make future trips.Am I telling you not to stay here? No. It just depends on your situation and expectations. As I said earlier, the room wasn’t that bad.

We had a positive experience staying at the hotel for one night before a procedure at Shady Grove Fertilty Hospital. It was clean and the employee was super kind and even applied a discount for a hospital patient out of state. The only weird thing was how the room was set up with the TV off to the side, but we literally just slept so not much bother for us. Thank again and will stay again if we had to come from our of state to the hospital. Thank you!

Well appointed room. Like the table and couch in the king bed room! Location is convenient to shops and restaurants.
