Mira and Sunita are absolutely wonderful . They are gracious and efficient and handled my requests with the utmost professionalism . Since I am slow to coming into the 21st century. they have become my angels withe oneline banking challenges.

Excellent customer service. Annie Hung was very polite and helpful. But it was Donald Hamilton who persisted for as long as it took to solve a serious problem I had with my account. I can't thank and commend him enough. Five star experience!

Wanted to close my account. teller wouldn't let me because she didn't "feel comfortable" with my very valid MD ID. It was a substantial amount but refused because, even though I was able to verify several other ways, I didn't have my debit card (which they could see on my account that I never activated). I couldn't even take out ANY amount and they refused to give a reason why or show me any policy that supported what they said. I ended up going to the Citi in Gaithersburg and the teller confirmed there was no valid reason for them to hold it. He was very competent and was able to get the security verification done so that I could be on my way. If you want to spend your day doing other things besides sitting at a bank all afternoon, allow me to suggest making the trip to a better branch. At this branch, management will support the bad decisions of their tellers no matter what (rather than provide coaching like a good manager would do). I've opened accounts at chase, TD, wells, m&t, and Citi. Citi is by far the worst. (Also, if you are here and have these same issues trying to get your own money from the account, I would suggest filing a complaint with the CFPB.)

I don't think there is one thing this Bank does right. Horrible customer service, technology that never works, incompetent tellers, exorbitant fees for money wiring.

Great job by all!After my mother passed away in early December 2022, and many trips from Maryland to New York to start the process of emptying her house and setting up her estate, I visited the Citibank branch in Rockville where the staff could not have been more helpful or friendly as busy as they all were.Over several days, and many visits, we were treated with the utmost courtesy, during a very trying time.Angie, Sunita, Mira, Donald, Winnie, Seline and Annie all had a part in making the process as painless as possible, accommodating us during their busy ptimes.I know this seems like a small thing in a big banking world, but I wanted this wonderful staff to be recognized for the little things that make every day a little easier for people like myself.CB - Silver Spring, MD

My wife and I opened a savings and checking account. The next day CitiBank closed all accounts and are holding our funds for at least 30-60 days. What a nice scam! All’s we did was transfer funds from another account. We have talked to numerous departments and went down to the local branch. They simply quote their policies. I ask what policy we broke they can’t provide that information. Although by law they must provide that information. We asked for documentation on their policies. Again they wouldn’t provide that information which is also required by law. I hope the government will start an investigation on what is clearly fraudulent. In the meantime until the CitiBank returns our funds we cannot provide even basic needs for our children. Just a reprehensible organization and I hope this review will keep others from experiencing the same situation.
