The people there took good care of my son, while he was there. But heaven forbid you ever actually need your records!! They are holding them hostage in DC and no amount of urgency will get them to you sooner. I have to cancel 2 surgeon consultations bc I can't get there to get them. PART OF THE JOB is giving the CD to the patient. Why don't they do this?! But also what is keeping doctors from accessing technology in 2024?? We are so tired already-but sure, ask the patients to do this too.
Edit: You're tech response team is great. My son still is waiting for treatment bc you hold OUR records hostage.

My appointment got canceled with no rescheduling. I called the hospital, and got transfered for five times and then the staff asked me to leave a message to the doctor. So i left an message hoping he could help me reschedule sooner, but i got replied by another staff sending me a online rescheduling link. I checked it and found it would take another 4 months to see my kid’s doctor. I tried to change my doctor but refused. The portal sucks, i couldn’t find my doctor in the system so i had to call and left a message to the nurse then wait for her call every time.

Messed up my billing and claimed I didn’t pay when the reality is my secondary insurance company overpaid them. The state attorney general should investigate them.

Extremely disappointed with the service at Children's National Hospital. Waited over an hour past appointment time with minimal communication. Unacceptable

Rude. Wouldnt talk to mom only me (dad)…made comments of xray is a waste of time and staff refused to check my son in until had me on phone to allow my wife (his mother!) to check in. Then, tech was rude and abrasive with my 8 yo, causing pain and embarrassment. I will never go back there. Tried to call back after all done to complain and no one would respond to me. Should have license removed and be shut down. Childrens National should be ashamed of this location.

I remember coming here for a sedated MRI once, and the last thing I remember doing before having to go under was drawing the Champions's weapons from Breath of the Wild in the prep room. I might still have the paper, so if I can find it, I'll post it here.SEDATED MRI experience was better here than it was in DC.

My son saw Dr. Zaidi, a pulmonologist, and the visit was beyond impressive. Dr. Zaidi is the absolute best! She took her time listening, explaining issues, and demonstrated compassion. Dr. Zaidi went above and beyond today and I am greatly appreciative for her knowledge and commitment to her job. Doctors like her make this busy world a better place!! Thank you for taking care of my son.

Brought my son months ago for a Neurosurgery appointment, and at that time I was assured by the gentleman at the front desk that my son's insurance was good. He called my insurance company, and then came over to me to let me know that my son's insurance was active, and valid. Lo and behold, I ended up getting a $400+ bill for that appointment, and it was not run through my son's insurance at all. I have been trying to get in contact with the billing department, but they're always conveniently not working when I happen to call. It's absolutely ridiculous, and unacceptable for you people to charge me for this when I was told THAT DAY that my son's insurance was valid and could be used by your receptionist.

If your child needs help sooner than later, choose somewhere else. You can't get a manager to call back, they cancel appointments and don't reschedule you. They wont let you see another doctor in the practice, even when the doc you see only see's patients now once a week which puts you out four months. My son is chronically ill and they could care less.

Absolutely horrendous. Had an appointment at 1pm with Dr. Damle (pediatric gynecologist). Checked in and ready to go at 1pm. Get called back and have my daughter weighed and measured and then asked to sit back in the waiting room. I was NEVER called back to a room and the front desk was absolutely zero help. Do yourself a favor and find another place to go. They're are many in the area.

My daughter had an appt. with Orthopedics on the first floor. It was fast and efficient. We were sent over to Imaging which was decorated so cute and fun. We were seen super fast and headed back to Ortho and they already had the images read and reviewed. It was seamless. What a great experience.

Dr Letzelter was great. However, I was told the surgery coordinator would reach out to me within the week of my appt (1/13/23) and I have called multiple times leaving messages on her machine and have not gotten a call nearly 3 months later. I need to schedule a surgical procedure, and I am not sure how to make this happen.

Like so many other reviewers on here, I brought my teenage son to a specialist visit and was met with a charge for a "facility fee" for a surgical procedure that didn't happen. It feels like a scam to me.
