I got the copper iud and saw Dr Ghatan. I was set on having the copper iud and was well informed on everything about it before my appointment and was initially thrown off when Dr Ghatan repeated everything I had discussed with another doctor during my consultation appointment. She was mostly just explaining the negatives about the copper iud and the positives about getting a hormonal one. I understand her going over all of my options because she wasn’t at my consultation appt, however, her delivery could have been better. She made me even more nervous after explaining that the iud might not be able to go in because of its large size… a little reassurance that she was confident in what she was doing would have been appreciated. The worst part of this whole experience was that she was more focused on talking to the nurse… while my cervix was expanded rather than making sure I was doing alright. I kid you not she opened my cervix, proceded to talk to the nurse for a few minutes… and did not ask me once how I was feeling. I get that the nurse was new, but Dr Ghatan could have explained everything she said to the nurse before opening my cervix. I definitely think she needs to work on her bedside manner.
Other than that, the insertion process of the copper iud was not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I did take some Tylenol before the procedure, so I recommend doing that.

If I could give a zero-star review, I would. The service was completely unprofessional, insensitive, pushy, and lacking empathy towards my issue. Dr. Jagoe is the worst professional Ive met.
It could not have been worse.

Our experience with the doctors at this establishment have been quite positive. I'm only posting a negative review to draw attention due to a serious concern I have regarding one staff member. Her name is either Julie or Julia (larger blond lady) who I believe have a tendency to overstep. She speaks with authority/conviction that may lead some people to believe her but be cautious - she is NOT a doctor or nurse. While scheduling our next appointment, my wife was given certain instructions by her on what to do before her next appointment, which was not in agreement with clinical staff. When I questioned her about that, she was dismissive. This trigger my wife to go back inside and ask the clinical staff again just to make sure. Clinical staff confirmed their original instructions, which was not the same as Julie/Julia's. A receptionist should not be giving clinical instructions; if this happens to you, go back and ask a doctor/nurse to make sure.

I was so pleased with Dr. Agarwal leading up to my surgery; however, after the surgery she was very different. I had complications and she seemed to dismiss my concerns and I had to advocate just for her to finally refer me to a specialist. I would not recommend her and I’m currently looking into legal options.

If I could give a negative rating, I would. At two months pregnant, I experienced spot bleeding and called the doctor's office. I was told to monitor the situation. When the bleeding worsened, I scheduled an appointment for two days later. Without notice, my appointment was canceled because the office was closed due to weather. There was no follow-up from the doctor. That same day, I was admitted to the ER, where I tragically lost my child. The ER doctor instructed me to see my provider the next day.
I made another appointment and went to the doctor's office, only to be told it was unnecessary, and my appointment was canceled again. I insisted on being seen, as the ER doctor had strongly recommended. The provider finally agreed to see me unofficially but did not perform a physical check-up or an ultrasound to check for any residuals from the miscarriage. Instead, I was sent home and told to return in a week for an HCG blood test. Over two weeks, I had to undergo two HCG tests to confirm the miscarriage.
While I may have still lost my child regardless, the lack of care and compassion from the providers and front desk staff was appalling. They canceled my appointments without regard for the urgency of my situation or the recommendations of another medical professional. This was my second pregnancy, and I chose this practice for its proximity to my home. I was deeply disappointed by their coldness and carelessness. I would not recommend this practice to anyone.

Save yourself a lot of headaches and poor care and go anywhere but here. The doctors are incompetent, the administration is rude, and they simply do not care about their patients. I've never had such poor treatment from a healthcare facility. Don't bother trying to call to speak to anyone about any issues either; the office manager has ignored my phone calls and messages for months. This place is an absolute nightmare and should not be trusted with any woman's care.

If I can give them less than one star, I would definitely. The front desk staff is extremely rude and very unprofessional. They started yelling at me when I called them instead of answering my questions and then hanged on me. They put you on hold for more than half an hour because they do not know how to answer your question. Then, they say we will call you back. Very impolite and badd behavior.

Dr. Shivani Agarwal, MD addressed by health needs and concerns thoroughly, compassionately and efficiently. She shared her expertise in answering my questions, as well as making recommendations for next steps.

Some receptionists are rude and Dr. Ghatan was cold and unfriendly, definitely not someone you would want to be responsible for your birth. Not a child friendly practice.
This practice cares more about money than the health and well-being of its patients. I suggest going to another practice. For your first appointment they make you wait over an hour. I was there for 3 hours for ultrasound and blood work.
It's what you can expect from money hungry , disconnected surgeons being in charge of your birth. No compassion and a feeling that you are not important and just another patient to get through.

Consistent friendly and professional front desk and staff. Dr’s, Nurses, MA’s all super friendly, thorough. Been going here for years! I even moved to Herndon but still kept stayed with them!

I’ve had really great experiences here. Dr Ghatan was really helpful while I was a patient here. I had a very large cervical polyp and my doctor before her did not handle me with care, they tried to remove it in office, I was really traumatized and looking for help. Dr Ghatanworked with me and had it removed in the OR. I also got my IUD placed during that time.All of the nurses and staff are really helpful. They are fun to talk to and not judgmental. Everyone is really professional and kind. There’s a lab so they can do blood tests on-site.I’ve moved to another city but as someone with endometriosis, who has struggled with so much pain and bleeding, it was really great to have professionals treat me humanely and professionally. So many doctors just say “that’s life.” Ghatan suggested Dr. James Robinson to look at my possible endometriosis and that went really well too.

Great experience everyone was great and help including front desk lady's Dr.McCune is a wonderful person she is very knowledgeable, friendly and compassionate. I really like and appreciate the way she treat me and never got tired ? to answer all my questions she's extremely nice ,i don't have enough word's to describe her but the only thing that I can say i strongly recommend her to anybody. I just wanna say thank you for working with me I'm so lucky to have you till the end wish you long live ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
